Or Try a different odin version like 3.07 or 3.04

...latest firmware? is the 4.3 not the latest for Note 3? or you mean custom?

Do you mean the MJ8 firmware from china?
Its been my experience that the chinese firmwares seem to use a different .pit file or modem to other countries generally resulting in soft bricks...Flash these roms with care.....

so can i replace the modem.bin file in mj8 and flash?

Did u use CFA root or did you root with clockwork recovery mod originally???

problem when flashing gs4 - odin stuck

hello, this is the first time i am posting on the forum so i dont know if the post is in the right place. i have a samsung galaxy s4 i9500 from mauritius. but it is infact a 4-core phone, i guess they modified it for distribution here. i download the pre-rooted rom from djembey for i9505 and tried to flash my mobile. the problem is that it gets stuck. At first it got stuck several times on setup connection but now it gets stuck at cache.img.ext4 and the phone will not even turn on. it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue and asks to recover using kies. can anyone here please help. i tried with different versions of odin and even changed my usb cable and tried on different usb ports.
my phone variant is i9500XXUAMDE
I think you are using the wrong firmware. You ideally should use i9500 not i9505. Both are different. Try using pre rooted i9500 or download the stock from sammobile and try flashing using odin

If you have an i9500 phone you should flash a i9500 firmware.
It's not that hard really.

Your KNOX will always 0x1, so at first download official firmware from sammobile.com than download odin, in AP choose your extracted firmware md5 file and flash it after successfully flashing it must say PASS! when your phone finishes booting go to recovery and factory reset.

Is there a selection of firmware which I will download or I will just select for the Note 3 9005? Since this is the first time doing that kind of flashing and rooting.. BTW after I flash the firmware and factory reset I can proceed in rooting?
yes go to firmwares and choose what region you want I have n900 but on n9005 I preffer BTU britain firmware, after that you can root your phone using cfautoroot

Can I flash directly for Kitkat? Or do I need to flash the original firmware first before I update to kitkat. Sorry for asking too much question newbie here Lol!
no problem if I know I share my opinion you can flash whatever you want, if you want KK or JB but you must know that you can't downgrade kitkat to jellybean so you choose

rooted phone, flash 4.4.2, questions

So I have a rooted Galaxy Note II with Android 4.3 and I want to flash Android 4.4.2. (I can't use OTA because I am rooted, it says your devices has been modified.......).
1. How to do that? I know that it's not the same procedure as if you have a nonrooted phone.
Someone told me I have to flash 4.3 with odin and then flash 4.4.2, is that true?
2 How about use triangleaway app to reset flashcounter and use OTA? or OTA will still not work?
3. How to flash 4.4.2 without removing root??
Download odin and flash the 4.4.2 package
And then download the root package and flash it..
And u are done
If u want ota.. U have to flash using odin and the modem of your country

about this:
""""""""""'
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
"""""""""""""""
si I can install directly 4.4.2?
It is the correct procedure .. Just incase you are confused head over to the general forum and check for already posted threads on flashing
Happy flashing

If you're trying with a stock rom of n910c from samfirmware with odin I guess it wouldn't work but your best bet is to root your phone put in a custom recovery and search the exynos forums for a rom i think i saw some people saying that they installed roms for the n910c to the n910h with no problems but i can't be sure which roms in any case its your phone your choice
Be sure the file you downloaded is full , maybe some files is broken check md5 to be sure before flashin , and check witch version of odin you should use.
Am talkin from old experience not with note 4
