i don't know why and how but, i made downgrade my s4 (i9500) with south africa stock rom (XFA) today
what i did was:
-flash stock emj5 india rom
-then flash this south africa rom http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=19531
i have got samsung bootloop in first boot and i entered to recovery and wipe data/cache and factory reset
therefore i suggest not auto boot when you flash bmh1 rom
everything is smooth but unfortunately warranty bit is still 1
hope it helps
I also did the same

Sounds good. An easier method for me was to wipe every single partition in recovery and flash a 4.2.2 .zip file. After that, it's pretty easy to get everything back in place.
Yeah I flashed 4.2.2 today too. Very easy process, same like upgrading to a ROM but you will have to Wipe and Factory Reset as you are downgrading.

but if i again wanted to install indian official stock rom will it flash and clear my binary counter
Same installation will work for 4.4.2
Will this work for 4.4.2
good work i9500 downgrade to 4.2.2
gooooooood work i tested 100000000*10000000
:good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
format pda wipi and downgrade to 4.2.2
Downgrade with firmware XFE-I9500XXUBMH1 work because of one thing
IT DOES NOT HAVE SBOOT.BIN (the bootloader)
it's not a real downgrade because the bootloader is still in 4.3 or 4.4 with KNOX !
This firmware downgrade everything but the bootloader/knox

Hello,
many people out there say it's impossible to do a full unroot on the S4 Mini, but I'll prove them wrong:
If you have a custom recovery like clockworkmod installed, that's obvious for a rooted phone,
before flashing you'll have to flash an original Samsung stock recovery first.
Otherwise the after-reboot process doesn't work correctly and you'll still have status "custom".
So here is what I did step-by-step:
- I startet with a rooted Samsung stock rom (XXUAMG8)
- I let SuperSU unroot the device (one of it's options), then
- I went into system/accounts/backup&restore and did the full restore - reboot
- I installed an original Samsung stock recovery with Odin - reboot
- I flashed the original Samsung stock rom (XXUAMG8) with Odin.
Afterwards you can check in DL mode the status, it's all "Official".
Additional Notes:
On my phone, when I didn't flash the samsung recovery first, the system boot time increased to up to 5(!) minutes every time (not only the first one...)
And why would I want to unroot my phone?
The warranty is void anyway. The Knox flag remains 0x1.
Original Samsung Stock Recovery Request
Hello, friend!
Can you get me that "original Samsung stock recovery" you mentioned, please?
Recently, I flashed a CWM file on my GT-I9192 and it doesn't work properly.
I'm searching everywhere and I couldn't find anything that helped me out...
So you're my savior...:laugh
Please attach the file or show me the link... So you will help not just me, but too many people that just messed up their phones..:good:
Best regards from Brazil.
If you do not want to flash a custom rom, you don't need cwm.
Instead, use saferoot

This how-to is about a phone with an older bootloader without knox.
So if you have a knox free bootloader, this description leads you back to full warranty conditions

flash twice the firmware in odin, sometimes baseband isn't flashed
Didn't work for me either.
Starting from CM11, wanted to flash latest stock ROM with KNOX boot loader removed - downloaded my local carrier-specific firmware from Samsung updates, then proceeded to use the tar and md5 -rt tools on a Mac, failed signature. So did it in Windows using 7zip and it managed to flash. Did it twice to ensure baseband was flashed.
Flashing the stock recovery then doing the same still gives me a custom version
Anyone has any ideas on how to return to stock? I'm on non-KNOX boot loader.

I had cm 4.4.2 on my I9195 I have to re flash with odin to go back to clockwork mod then flash original firmware twice and it worked just waiting for the ota update now
problem
It did work flashing original firmware twice however I go into recovery mode and I have a dead android with a red triangle and the words no command
It works. I got "official" status and I can download software updates, but now I get dead android with red triangle when I go recovery mode with this message:
Code:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : NEE
Succesfully applied multi-CSC.
No command.
And when I select reboot it says "error," then reboots normally and everything works fine... But is there something wrong?

Same here. I've got problems with that Android Stock recovery file. After flashing it, when I tried to go into recovery mode, the dead android logo appeared. However if I reflash CWM everything goes ok. Where can I find another stock android recovery file?, it seems that this one only works for some specific sort of models. Mine is: GT-i9195L. (the "L" doesn't really matter).
Thanks.

Why even touch your phone when you can't basics or at least learn some by reading and searching and Google translating some. How about to sell your note and get a dumb phone.
What logo? Samsung?
Just clear dalvik cache and factory reset from recovery. Turn phone off. Pul battery out. Volum up, home and power button at same time and do it from there. You will be find after a reboot.
i did that
and i did every thing here

Hello.
When upgrade to kk with upgrading bootloader sometimes will have a bootloop. This is normal.
I read few website they all suggest same thing.
When u face bootloop just go to recovery do wipe data and wipe cache partition.
I upgrade few note 3 already from 4.3, all the same. Have to do wipe.
Some I use nb7 germany some I use nc2 czech. All have to full wipe.

i tried what you told me but the same no boot to system whin tick update bootloader on not tick it
tried two firmware
no luck
back to xnote 4.3
Use odin 1.85, correct usb drivers, uninstall/kill kies. If you can still run a 4.3 rom like you said then obviously your bootloader hasnt been updated. Or 4.3 wouldnt boot at all.
Also you say odin gives you a fail, but you dont even give the details as to what fails? A simple copy and paste is all that is needed.

Hi guys I've been facing this problem for a few months now. Hope someone can help. I am on vn rom v14. While on this rom I had flashed the clear warranty zip to reset my knox counter to 0. I was curious to see if it would work. Therafter I decided to flash stock firmware. After the flash I was stuck at the boot logo. So then I booted into stock recovery and wiped data factory reset, wipe cache and wiped dalvik cache. The phone then boots up however it doesn't receive any network signal. It can only connect to wifi. Base brand version and imei are also lost. The only solution that I found was to flash the vn rom again and everything is fixed. I seem to be stuck on vn rom as this is the only rom that picks up signal. Tried many other roms and have the same problem. Eventually I have to return to vn rom to use my phone. Can somebody please help me.
After you flash your stock firmware (you lose your imei )
You should install this zip file from twrp or cwm
http://www.mediafire.com/?8z5fy2w8hedc339
Finish
Thank u so much il try that.
One more thing that I forgot to mention. Will this work if I am located in South Africa ?

My S4 GT-I9500 was upgraded to lollipop 5.0.1 by the service centre guys and it's not supported by my official android policy.
So after googling a lot i found out a you tube vdo for downgrading lollipop 5.0 to kitkat 4.4.2 on S5 and as shown i did the exact steps i.e. downloaded firware from SAMFIRM & used ODIn to flash it and the entire process went fine, no errors.
But after booting up there is no mobile network connectivity and IMEI number is unknown , IMEI SV is unknown.
Is it possible to make the phone working again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello sumanjit,
I faced this problem today! i was on Lollipop and then tried to downgrade it to Kitkat but that erased my IMEI number. To get it back I again flashed the stock 5.0.1 Firmware. And for downgrading it have a look at this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/i9500-easy-to-downgrade-official-t3036258 . You need to be rooted on 5.0.1 with a custom recovery.
All the best!

I had Philz Touch recovery. In it select- Wipe data reset.
Then you will be asked to - 1) wipe data reset
2) wipe clean install (something like this).
So select the clean install option.
Boot to download and flash the firmware.
Note: I tried the same and got my IMEI nulled. And I was suggested to follow the same procedure as displayed in that post. I haven't tested the yet. I am still to restore the EFS partition and will report back with any probable solution.
If helped press thanks!

Yes my IMEI was nulled. The main problem is the new Lollipop bootloader. But many members claimed here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/i9500-easy-to-downgrade-official-t3036258 that after following the exact steps they successfully downgraded to KitKat. Now I have XXUFN12 firmware so I am still downloading UUBGNJ1 to check whether it works.
All the best!
Ok so I'd like to put AllianceROM on my international version SM-G900F H3G UK model.
To do so, my plan is to downgrade lollipop to 4.4.2 stock, root with TowelRoot, then install the ROM through Mobile Odin Pro (to preserve the KNOX counter). I've just tried to flash 4.4.2 onto the phone, but I cannot get it to start at all after it's flashed. The phone just hangs on the Three (H3G) boot animation.
I'm hoping that I've just got confused with the Sammobile site and that I've just flashed the wrong 4.4.2 firmware (so far tried flashing ANG2 and ANE2). Something I should have checked earlier but I just thought they were updated versions of the same ROM).
If I can't successfully boot into 4.4.2, I'd like to try flashing lollipop to retrieve some files I forgot to backup (another silly mistake). I'm not sure whether I can take files off it through the ADB sideload or whatever but if I have to lose all my data then I'm not too bothered.
What's the best way to go about my situation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
