I need a little assistace please.
I have 16Gb card from day one with Leo, and installed over 80 apps on it, and many my docs settings and so on.
What would be the safest way to trasfer everything as it is to new 32gB card.
use somenthing like norton ghost? i thing just copy and paste wont work, and i would like to avoid that.
Thanx for any helpful advice.
Personally, I would use copy & paste. Either connect your device as a USB drive, or use a card reader. Copy everything from the root of the card to a folder on your PC, then swap the cards and copy everything back. It should just work - nice and simple.

i got an error in few seconds...
some file reported an error, and copy process stopped...
it would be easy, i know, but i just does not work...there are (i guess) some 10000 files on that card, and chances are some are garbled.
so i would avoid filesystem alltogether and try to clone, and if that does not work, then c/p folder by folder if it does not go other way.
I connected my HD2 as a drive, copied the entire 16GB card to a folder on my PC, formatted the new card, copied everything back, absolutely perfect.
Yep, disk drive mode, or just put the card in a USB card reader. I just did that for 8-> 16GB swap. There's no "better" solution.

I do hope you bought that 32 GB card from a reputable source.
Many fake 32 GB cards are sold on sites like ebay.

No, the errors are probably due to the fact that your HD2 was running apps that are located on the SD and are 'locked' that way. So they will not be copied...
Just take the SD-card out, put it in a card reader of some sort and just copy & paste everything to a hard disk, and copy it to your new SD card. Should work 100%.

Did you enable "show hidden files" in your file manager on your PC? Sounds as if you havent copied all the hidden files.

i bough it from sandisk dealer here in Zagreb. and guy is allso my friend from way back, so i got it at allmost factory price...about 70 euros.
SD card only works 2/16 gigs
Might be unrelated, but I could use some help with my microSDHC 16gig and 8gig
I've used a card reader and the phone itself via activesync to copy files. Once I fill up to past 2gigs of files, any additional music or video file no longer functions and weird symbols appear in my folders and I guess you call it "corruption"
I've formatted and scanned for errors and still the same thing happens.
What is up?!

Yep. I had the exact same thing with a "8GB" memory stick, that turned out to actually be 1GB.
according to my knowledge, u can't copy like that, u need to hardreset your device and then using new microsd.
may be I am wrong, but it happen last time when I am using omnia i900. and it might be every sdcard has the different id.
or check with flash memory toolkit, it will show the information of ur micro sd

Definitely not mate - you must have had a problem with something if you needed to hard reset to swap SD cards. One of the selling points of most up-to-date devices is "hot-swapping". Did you maybe have encryption switched on?

You need TeraCopy, its free and great, replaces stupid windows crap copy function.
there are tons of apps on my SD card from installs that still sitting there... dont really want to go through the whole card to find it and delete..
so i used clockwork to format the SD card... i noticed the it doesn replace back the stock files that came shipped with the phone..
was this a bad idea?

eh. it depends on your way of looking at it. The only thing on their you may need is the driver for the phone. but that can be downloaded via HTC's WebSite.
Any one experiencing random files being deleted off the SD card,
It seems to effect photos and pictures more than APK's or zip files
Cant work it out, not sure if the Sony sync software is backing them up and deleting them or its my SD card.
Any one else experiencing this ?
I cant remember if i read something about Ginger break maybe the cause of doing this or not
I never heard of this issue before, but GingerBreak did not remove any contents from my SD card when I rooted my Rogers Arc.
I had the same problem, at first I thought that it seems to me but no its real problem. You must format your SD Card in the Arc (i changed from FAT32 to NTFS and put it in phone then phone ask for formatting, maybe there is otherway for formatting but i know only this one) I am on the third day of testing and so far i have all files Other symptoms of this problem can be lags in video recording (strange randomly big lags about 1s long visible on the recording) or slightly longer shutter speed in photo mode.
Conclusion:
I think the culprit is allocation unit size.
Btw. Ofc i copy my files from card to harddrive befour and after formatting i just paste it back.
Yeah i copied all files to computer, formatted it and placed them all back
on the newly formatted SD card
Thing thats annoying is that iv lost about 70 pictures. with no way off gettting it back.
The Arcs starting to p*ss me off with other little problems like the back button is stuck in, and does not push,

Hi... i wanna ask whether i must format the sd card 1st before rooting my arc? =) thanks
I installed this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010498
When I connect the usb it keeps saying " Do you want to scan and fix New Volume (G? When I click yes it scans and does the same thing again. I have just purchased a 16bg class 4 card and have flashed a number of roms on the card. I have also formatted the sd card.
But my second question is when I open the sd folder it doesn't gives me folders with shortcuts (as in, folders with arrows) This never happened before, how can I fix this?
Many thanks in advance and I have enclosed a pic.

And if you click no? I always click on when stuff like that comes up, seems like a waste of time.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know what rom you use but I have a problem with the folders when I open usb mass storage. I can't get the folders, I just get folders with short cuts?
Anyway to fix this ?
Anyone else having SD card issues after the update?
Since the update my photos are saving to the phone's internal memory and if I change camera to save to the SD it stays until I take a photo, then it says there was a problem saving to the SD and writes to the phone again.
Using FX I can see the "Media Card" but when I click on it it says "Access Was Denied" however I can use System/ and see the SD Card folder and access it that way.
If I unmount and remount the SD card in Settings it works again for a short while both for accessing and saving photos to and then goes back to being seen but not able to be written to for photos along with looking at my gallery and seeing none of the photos saved to it.
I am going to back it up here to be safe but do I need to do a full format of it or has anyone had similar issues and fixed it?
Did you do the edit to platform.xml I got that when trying to back up TB Try flashing this then see if it helped, this is for a 910W8 but should work on any N4
Thanks mate.
I assume that is for rooted phones, yeah?
Mine is stock, not rooted.
I think it is just a bunk SD card, ah well time to warranty it with ADATA.

The zip I posted is flashable but it could be the card I had the same problem. I did a clean through diskpart on windows
Yeah it is really weird.
If I manually delete the info on the card it appears gone but when I go to format it, all that info comes back.
I did the regedit and diskpart trick and neither worked.
ADATA told me to download the SD Card Formatting exe and it tells me it is write protected when it clearly isn't.
Hence why it is not accessible on my phone and cannot be written to...no clue how to reverse it or why it happened in the 1st place.
I can't write to my card after jumping to 5.1.
