yes mine does but im using supersu, i don't recall if that's the one in the script.
when my phone restored it must have downloaded a second su app, that's why i don't know if supersu was the original.

My tab did the same, but when I check root with terminal emulator, i discovered that my tab was no longer rooted. Type su into the terminal emulator field.
Install iconiaRoot and unroot it,the same way you rooted it.You should have made an initial backup from the beginning, but iconiaRoot should work.
nope, probably won't work.
superuser app is gone, but the su binaries are still in system/xbin/

Make sure USB debugging is enabled under settings/applications. If it's been disabled it won't unroot.
Had the exact same issue after flashing light speed rom completely lost root still had cwm as recovery but would not allow me access to root

Wont let me delete it and I've factory reset and what not still in my apps list acts like a factory app now lol and it's not rooted
any ideas on how to remove the super user app
So my nexus 4 is rooted and running 4.2.2 stock rom with franco r83 kernel.
Everything was running great, until today I had to reboot my nexus. Since then I can't get any app root acces. I've rebooted a couple of times now but no advance.
What to do? Reinstall superuser or something?
Open superuser, do you have all apps there? granted permission?

Yes. I just downloaded SU Checker and it says 'su declined / not found'... so the problem is the superuser that got... corrupt or something?
There's a process to change superuser with superSU, I think it's on faux kernel thread.. Try that
Yeah, superSU was what I was talking about.
But I'm totally confused right now, I've download a couple of Root test apps and one is saying I'm not rooted, the others say I am.
I updated to 4.2.2 with some root keeper app, maybe something went wrong there? (although it was working for a couple of days?...)
superuser and superSU are two different apps but they do the same thing.
Some roms / kernels work better with one of them, that's why I'm advising you to change the superuser app.

I was running SuperSU. Now... I guess I'll have to reroot my device? I have like 4 apps telling me I'm rooted and 2 I'm not.
Manually upgraded my Nexus 7 to Android 4.3 today, via Google's factory images.
I flashed Clockwork Mod, and installed Busybox and the latest version of SuperSU with it. But root isn't working -- no clue why. Any help? Am I stupidly overlooking something? I've flashed root binaries plenty of times before, and this has never happened.

Hmmm, that version technically works (Root Checker says I'm rooted), but now it's acting like Busybox isn't installed, and other root apps are acting up.
What is the issue here? Why would root suddenly not work on an unlocked Nexus device? Should I be using something other than SuperSU?

I don't think busybox is part of this installation, you'll have to install one from the market yourself.

I flashed and updated Busybox, and it seems to be working OK now.
Other root apps are acting screwy -- "/system/app Mover" can't remount the /system folder (even though I can mount it R/W just fine in Root Explorer), Change Hostname doesn't work, etc. etc.
Key point: Why isn't root just simply working as I expect it to? What is wrong with SuperSU?
From what I've read its because of the new "Restricted Profiles" and how security works now, SuperSU needs to be updated have to use that one posted in the link until that happens

You have to go to SuperSu and unroot from there.
Setttings > Full Unroot > Continue.
Wait for it to prompt you to reboot and you're done
SuperSU issue
So... the root worked fine. I checked with Root Checker, and it's all good in the 'hood. HOWEVER, when I installed SuperSU, it tells me that the "Installation Failed"... second "however", though, is that when I run an app requiring elevated permissions, SuperSU pops up just like it should, and everything works. Very curious.

It's a known issue, as long as you have SuperSU popping up asking for permissions and your root checker shows green, I wouldn't worry. It happened to the wife's S5, and that was 3 months ago, and she's still rooted.
You could also try and re-dl the latest, I believe 2.01, in the playstore and see if that helps if you are that worried about it.

Caused custom notice on mine.
Question: can I uninstall after rooting and keep root? Google keeps warning me about it.

Yes. Once rooted, the app doesn't have to be installed.
I recently rooted my galaxy grand prime, and all went well except for random vibrations and snapchat was behaving weirdly but it was all ok. I installed some root apps such as live boot and a bloat ware remover and they worked fine but today I downloaded another root app and it told me I wasn't rooted so I downloaded root checker and told me I was not, but superuser still works and live boot still works but that's it. Is this possible, what happened?
