so here is the new edition with uk kernel, basically pretty much the same as before with correct sensor drivers now.
Changelog v1.3 (Android v2.2.1 edition) Download nandroid image here or mirror
- xavwanted's libOMX and MediaGallery.apk which seems to fix HD recording and playback
- Riley600's interactive governor fix
- callwaiting fix
- kousik's mount-o typo fix
- Mioze7Ae move /oc to /system/oc
- bootanim by helmi666
- Email.apk replacement

- fixes problems with callwaiting functionality.
Changelog v1.2a (Android v2.2.1 edition) Download nandroid image here
- 720P recording fix
- re-added old MediaGallery as Camera app requires it.
- there can be possible hickups with mediascanning (so you know)If you do see many FC's its a symptom of not having done factory reset, so this should indicate whether you need to do it or not.
Changelog v1.2 (Android v2.2.1 edition) Download nandroid image here
- fixed mediascanner issue
- removed old mediagallery (not supported) , now only Gallery3D available.
- removed VoiceCommands app, cpu intensive and taking much storage.
Note, due to the bug in mediascanner and decoding and on top ext2sd support, quadrant benchmarks drastically drops when ext2 is enabled, if the sdcard is not a class6 or higher.. but media decoding bug alone caused incorrect reportings, so dont be surprised when you test now.
Its a full nandroid for new and existing users. if you're using 1.1+ you do not need to WIPE settings, just restore nandroid and reboot, signatures will be recalculated and bootup takes maybe little more, but it works fine.
Patch update Changelog v1.1b (Android v2.2.1 edition) Download patch here
- HDMI added to settings menu, let me know how it works (not tested)
- different proximity sensor module (tested with z-devicetester seems better)
- facebook fix still included.
- Support for loading overclock module at startup.
- apps2ext partition support , will mount at startup if a 2nd partition is found.
its not advanced, so you need ext2/ext3 partition for now.
NOTE: Patches goes into /OpenRecovery/updates and is applied in openrecovery menu "apply update".
Changelog v1.1a (Android v2.2.1 edition) Download nandroid v1.1a link
- Based on 2.2.1 milestone framework leak

- fixed: OCR camera function currently FC (crash) (Mobireader.apk added)
- fixed: Contacts apk will be replaced in next update.
- fixed: HDMI through media player
- fixed: /mnt/sdcard mount issue
If you want stock korean 2.2 with just english language and working sensors, download this nandroid dump, if you will probably need the 1.1 including recovery.apk to install this the easy way.
but else follow instructions in my other releases, and put nandroid backup into the /nandroid/openrecovery folder and restore using OpenRecovery.
See this post, if you wish to restore a stock rom, or to enable apps2sd filesystem on sdcard
Install instructions:
Make sure sdcard is visible, when you get to step 6 of instructions, or it all fails, same with restore..
A: users with stock 2.1 can proceed to step 1 in instructions.
B: users with stock SBF korean 2.2 rom , need to flash stock 2.1 and goto step 1
C: Users with 1.1+ of rom with OpenRecovery , can skip WIPE and factory reset, and a restore of the new nandroid backup included in the download link, and goto step 8 (and skip step 9 for factory reset)
root it (SuperOneClick ) - included with zip
install OpenRecovery , use included apk.
reboot phone once
copy the folder "nandroid" to root directory of your sdcard.
Make sure sdcard is not attached to pc using "mass storage share" to pc.
Run OpenRecovery app and "install Recovery".
Press Boot recovery
restore the backup "stock22xxxx"
wipe / factory reset in OpenRecovery
reboot
Issues reported by users in v1.2a:
- Radio FM volume cannot change.
- MediaGallery does not do videoplayback
Issues reported by users in v1.0:
- Radio FM volume cannot change.
- Sync account option for facebook / Twitter is not added in settings when account is configured.
- Camera language not going to change (its korean app, so not support for other langs)
- LEDS do work, its sensors that makes them go off/on (no need to report this anymore)
STATEMENT:
Please don't keep asking the following question directed to me, public or via PM;
- Can you include language XXXXXXXX .
Answer: NO
- Can you teach me how to do custom roms
Answer: NO
- will you include RTL for hebrew
Answer: NO
- will you make other roms like cyanogen, htc etc..
Answer: NO
for new users unable to write in public forums, i cannot answer all your PM's personally, as that gets to be a quite a few per day and many monthly...i am not a support central for xt720 community..i simply don't have that kind of time available.

if i press camera button here (1-2 sec) it opens?
media button (the small one becide the cam button?) ? yes i see its not doing any action
from what i read now, the known accelerator driver issue + led, hdmi is 2 majors, im not sure about other issues becides the extra languages which for some seem to cause issue..
the way the launcher works is a matter of taste (seeing like 20+ android devices)
- if you're coming from stock 2.1 there is differences and more functions, but if you tweaked alot maybe less features are here, like dalvik.
- rotation is a problem if you plan alot of games with acc. functionality..
- I personally dont experience problems, except the buttons which personally i would love to fix now..
I think overall there is a positive feel about the first working release.

For more issues: how about light sensor, that detects when you speak on your phone?
On 2.1 when you speak touchscreen goes off and you cant press it errorly.

In the facebook app if you tap on "Facebook" at the top you go to the page to navigate to news feeds, friends, etc. If you hit your options button there there is a settings screen that includes preferences for how contacts are sync'd.

Yes i saw those settings, unfortunately they have no effect or bearing on the accounts.
I believe this is a bug, yet no one has confirmed or denied being able to reproduce it.

I think smurfb deserve a little thanks, for pushing the request/idea just to try loading the old uk kernel once more, so i did and this time i fixed the problems with loading the old kernel and lib/bin required, its not much and most (2.2) korean state is kept intact..
ill do some testing after the new nandroid backup and start uploading v1.0

METHOD TO INSTALL ADOBE FLASH 11.1.115.81 FOR ANDROID ON KITKAT
TESTED WITH ROOTED & UNLOCKED SPRINT HTC ONE M8 RUNNING 4.4.X
As most of us know, Google officially dropped support for the Android version of Adobe Flash with Jellybean and later. Jellybean (4.1.X - 4.3.X), however, still had whatever API/framework that Flash required to run, so users could install the ICS (4.0.X) version of Flash without any issues. But now with KitKat, those critical APIs/framework have been removed or changed, making Flash act super glitchy, crash, or simply not work.
There was a potential fix created back in 2013, but the download to the special Flash installer was hosted on Google Drive, and ended up being removed by Google.
THIS DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY "HACKED", "MODIFIED", OR "PATCHED" FLASH INSTALLS.
Prerequisites:
1. An Android device running KitKat
2. An internet connection
3. The Android version of Firefox (preferably 29 or newer)
DISCLAIMER: This method has been tested on a ROOTED & UNLOCKED Sprint HTC One M8 running Android 4.4.X KitKat with HTC Software Version 1.54.654.15+.
Step 1: Ensure that any and all existing Flash components are uninstalled. You can do this by installing any version of Flash for ICS and then performing a complete uninstall on it with a tool like Titanium Backup.
Step 2: Download & install the latest version of Firefox for Android (see technical information). If you already have it, then you rock.
Step 3: Download the two Flash installation packages. Don't run them yet. It is critical that both of these be installed in a SPECIFIC ORDER. For now, just download both packages.
-> Direct Download from Adobe: PRE ICS APIS AND RUNTIME & ICS RUNTIME
-> (mirror) ZIP Archive Containing Both Files: Download from Dropbox or Download from MediaFire
Step 4: If you've downloaded the ZIP archive, extract the files to some location on your computer. Move the installers to your Android device.
Step 5: Run the installer for the install_flash_player_pre_ics.apk FIRST.
Step 6: Run the installer for the install_flash_player_ics.apk SECOND. The APK installer should prompt you to update the existing Flash player installed. If it does not declare the installation as an update, then your device did not completely register the pre-ICS installer. If this occurs, then you will most likely be unable to successfully complete the installation.
Step 7: Launch Firefox. If you're a first-time user, I suggest you get customize Firefox to your liking first, since its the only browser you can use if you're a mobile Flash enthusiast. (Yes, I know there's a possible Flash fix with the Dolphin browser, but Dolphin lacks a lot of the functionality and performance that Firefox has. Plus, I'm a big-time Firefox fan.)
Step 8: Once you're familiar with Firefox, go to the Display settings submenu (3-Dot Menu Dropdown -> Settings -> Display).
Step 9: Scroll down to the list where "Plugins" is located (under "Advanced"). Ensure that it's is set to enabled. If it's grayed out, just load a webpage and return to the display settings page.
Now you're done!
To use Flash, go to any webpage with Flash content and it will load automatically. Continue reading below for more information like why this install method works and how Flash will perform.
About the two Flash installers:
The pre-ICS installer is for Android 2.x and 3.x. As far as I know, neither of those versions of Android had the built-in APIs/framework that Flash uses when running on ICS and Jellybean - which means that the pre-ICS installer must include those APIs or an equivalent substitute. If you were to install just the pre-ICS version on your KitKat device, you could technically use Flash, but it would be highly unstable and buggy (as I have observed). Loading Flash content would result in the swf flickering black for a few seconds before Firefox crashes. It seems that the ICS installer simply adds compatibility/stability for Android 4.x.x, rather than completely replacing its pre-ICS runtime. On the other hand, if you were to just install the ICS version, Flash simply wont run. Firefox will load the content region, but it will remain white or black.
Browser tests:
I have tested this method on several web browsers:
-> Stock HTC Browser [✘]-- registers that Flash is installed (it gives an option to enable/disable it), but doesn't actually load Flash content.
-> HTC Internet [✘] (the new version that's available from the play store) -- does not acknowledge the Flash install, but will display swfs as "missing required plugin"
-> Chrome [✘] -- does not even acknowledge that Flash is installed and gives no option to enable/disable it (shows how Google doesn't want Android users running Flash)
-> Firefox [✔] -- runs Flash smoothly (more info on Firefox Flash performance specs below)
-> Dolphin [✘] -- says "Flash Player is incompatible" and gives a download link to a hacked Flash installer that *only* works with Dolphin.
I've also have tested this method on several types of content:
-> Games -- Flash games run fine, but are subject to stuttering and lag depending on how intense the graphics are. Smartphone processors are pitiful compared to desktop CPUs, and Flash for Android has no Stage3D support.
-> Video players -- Flash video players cache and play their content perfectly (tested with desktop YouTube, desktop Dailymotion, and JWplayer, among others)
-> Other things -- everything I've tested ran fine; the only swf that didn't work was extremely large and probably exceeded Flash's/Firefox's RAM allocation or made use of 11.2+ Flash APIs.
When using Firefox, the following things perform well:
-> Quality -- equivalent to Flash for your PC. As far as I can tell, Flash completely abstracts itself from the platform it runs on (PC, mac, Android, etc).
-> Speed -- the HTC One M8 has a high performing CPU and GPU, so it can handle most swfs rather well. Ultimately, though, this depends on the amount of objects being rendered per frame and how detailed they are. MSAA on bitmaps (Right-click swf -> set Quality = high) and tessellation of complex vector shapes are big FPS killers.
However, there are some issues:
-> Interactivity -- still has the double-press glitch. This is a glitch where when you tap on the swf, it registers two clicks - one for when your finger hits the screen, and one for when it leaves. This glitch came up with Jellybean, and I first noticed it on my HTC Evo 4G LTE (running Android 4.1.1). Pressing and holding for a second or two and then lifting your finger seems to sometimes work as a single click.
-> Random freezes -- every now and then, the swf will seem to visually "freeze", even though everything is still running in the background. Simply scrolling up/down fixes this issue and forces Firefox to re-present the swf. These presenting desyncs seem most common when the entire screen updates, which may indicate they are tied to the performance of your phone's CPU/GPU.
-> Invisible freezes -- sometimes if you open a new tab to a webpage that has a swf in it, the swf will start to run in the background and Firefox. Setting plugins to "Tap to Play" fixes this.
Enjoy Flash!
Sir, if I ever meet you, I'll buy you a beer. Goddamn heavy thanks
Hmmm, that's weird, ive installed firefox on gpe and my dads sense 4.4.4 and 4.4.3, installed flash player from the archive, and they both run fine witout the ics pre update, I do get the white base for a second but works fine. I will however install the pre update files and do it again anyway.
OMG - flash works
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
For two years Firefox on my Transformer Prime has crash every single time I attempted to play a flash video of any sort. I downloaded the two installers. Ran them as you described AND flash now plays with no problems in Firefox. Yay!

Works for my unrooted stock HTC M8! :good:
But when I long press, Firefox selects text instead of acting as a single press. Any way around that?

Yeah, long pressing a flash content area will make Firefox attempt to select it as text, though there doesn't seem to be any way around that right now within Firefox. There are a couple apps out there that allow you to emulate desktop mice clicks, so maybe you could use on of the those.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for this nice tutorial. I'm currently installing Flash on my HTC One M7 running Android 4.4.3 (ARHD 84.0).
I guess global version will come within 2 days.

Step by Step Guide - Android 8.0 Chinese beta. Clean/dirty flash lock/UL BL.
Hello Guys,
To make things easy heres a step by step guide to install the chinese oreo beta on locked/unlocked Bl for the 5T
So I got my hands on the android oreo chinese beta (H2OS) and flashed it on my oneplus 5t which was on a locked bootloader and running stable 4.7.6 with star wars theme enabled. Here's a step by step guide to install H2os Oreo beta rom wtihout losing any data.
WARNING : BACKUP - BACKUP - BACKUP and flash at your own risk. I would not be responsible for any loss.
METHOD 1 : FOR LOCKED/UNLOCKED BL BUT WITH STOCK RECOVERY
1) Download the rom from this link : https://goo.gl/4nPrxx
2) Ensure you have backed up all your important data and make sure you have atleast 50% battery.
3) Copy the downloaded zip to phones internal memory (make sure its in the main directory and not in any folder.
4) Go to settings > system updates > top right hand corner tap the settings icon > tap local upgrade > tap on the downloaded file > tap update now and wait for it to finish installing the update. ( first boot will take 8 to 10 minutes so please dont panic.
5) Once first boot is done you may have a force close for 1 or 2 apps just uninstall them and reinstall from the play store and you are good to go. Also star wars theme continues to work and all basic functions work as expected.
6) If you want a clean install or having many force closures please perform a factory reset and everything should be resolved.

This update ushered in based on the new Android O (8.0) hydrogen OS
【desktop】
- Optimized application shortcut menu
- Integrate icon options with app shortcuts
- Shot on OnePlus Add photos upload function
【system】
New shortcut settings panel design
- Android O new features, including but not limited to:
****1. Add Picture in Picture function
****2 new auto-fill (Auto-Fill) function
****3 new smart text selection (Smart Text Selection)
- Update Android system patch
Known Issues
1. WeChat fingerprint payment can not be used temporarily
2. Third-party applications may not compatible list, please download the attachment compression package. Android O may not be compatible with the application list. Rar (25.83 KB, Downloads: 364)
This a translation of the update. I used g translate. :good:
It seems to run OK. Obviously some stuff is still in Chinese. I tried to flash TWRP and TWRP booted but even after a clearing cache/Div the ROM then would not boot. I just got a white light.
For initial install I did a complete data format then loaded the stock recovery ,and the latest stable OOS, then flashed the Chinese O.. You do need to pull a PlayStore .APK and reload all the Google apps after a flash.
Unless this one is different than the one they have on their main site, it's not Oreo. I flashed it, tried flashing Gapps and Gapps said I had to flash appropriate Gapps for 7.1 :/
Very nice. Thanks for the write-up!
Already open beta 3 now.
Hi.
My Teclast Master T10 just got upgraded to PhoenixOS 2.0.0 via OTA. I got no warning that this would make me lose widgets, which are a key feature for me. I've tried both "tablet" and "fake Windows" mode.
Is there any way to get widgets in PhoenixOS 2.0, or to get rid of it and get back to something sensible ? PhoenixOS won't even let me install an alternative Launcher...
Thanks for any help.

Widgets are just like gadgets on Windows 7.
Why won't you get it back in Phoenix OS 2.6.7?
No, really I'm not joking about that.
Hey - Hello. total newbie with a Teclast TBook and wanting to move to an all android system. It dual boots to wither Win10 or Android. I want to blow it all away and simply do Android. Any written step-by-step or videos available?? Russ. [email protected] (many many many thanx for any help or direction)
I found the missing widgets!!!
I've found a way to get widgets back! The side effects are we loose a little screen/desktop area on the side of the screens, and the app drawer reappears.
To accomplish:
1) Download total commander (file explorer)
2) navigate to: /System/App/FileManager
3) rename FileManager.apk to FileManager.apk1
4) reboot your system
5) enjoy
To revert back:
1) Navigate to same path as above
2) remove the 1 from the end of the file name
3) reboot your system
Thoughts:
1) You will loose a little screen space, as the resolution, screen settings will revert to Android x86
2) To use widgets long press on the home screen
3) This does not remove the Phoenix os navigation bar
4) This will get rid of your recycle bin and "my computer" functionality
The developers were really sneaky, and FileManager.apk is what's driving the hiding of widgets, app drawer, etc. I haven't figured out yet what else it manages, but I do not it is not responsible for not being able to load new launchers. Haven't figured that part out yet.
Enjoy!

Hey together,
I just tried to get started with the Fire Toolbox 9.1 on Windows 7.
Problem is: In the Toolbox the menue items are not shown. Where normally the menue buttons are (like ADB Shell, Custom Launcher etc.) there are only white boxes with no text readable. The only text i can read is the headline "main menu".
Does anyone have got an idea how to solve it?

You recommended to upgrade your PC to Windows 10. You have to report your bugs to @Datastream33 instead.
Windows 7 is End of Life so I don't think the developer is going to support the OS. Just upgrade the PC to Windows 10.
