I need to push some gapps, but I can't get adb to work in TWRP. I've also tried to mount it so I can move the files over that way, but it still won't work. ADB sideload won't work either.
Can someone give me some help?
Thanks.
I've had this problem before. The drivers aren't installed correctly. Open device manager and do a manual install of drivers. I think I posted about it in more detail in one of my previous post. Go take a look. On mobile app so a bit tedious to find the actual link. Cheers!

have tried flashing mrom thru cwm always says bad file or something like that at the point of unpacking.
am i missing something?

Try to reload the file. I wonder whether you do a factory reset before applying the ROM? I hope you don't unzip it?
Try redownloaing the file; it may have been corrupt.

Did you check the downloaded file against its MD5?
Personally, if I'm going to change the very core of my phone, I'd at least like to know it downloaded properly before I mess everything up.
erm how do i check the downloaded file against its MD5?

Hi, my phone is rooted, but still on stock rom with twrp recovery. My problem is that whenever I try adb commands or even check devices, it says it offline but when in fastloader and try fastboot devices, my device is seen and communicating well. Why is this so? What did I miss to do?
here is what shows when I try adb devices:

}
Pls advice what to do.. thanks!
P.S., after unlocking my bootloader and installing twrp, i locked it again. Is this the reason i cant connect via adb or this issue is not related at all?
Thanks!
Do you have the latest adb? With 4.2.2 a security feature was added to allow for white listing computers connected via adb. Older adb versions don't work with this.

ok, will check this thread.. thanks!
Hey guys,
at the moment I'm trying to go back to Stock rom. But I think my recovery is not working well, because I'm not able to do a nandroid backup or even a restore from an old backup fails every time. So I decided to renew my recovery by following this instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831161&highlight=cwm
Unfortunately I´m stucking at this point where I enter this.

I always get the message "permission denied"
USB debugging is on, I tried several usb ports and corts. Still don´t know how to move on. Hope you can help me.
Ok I solved the problem. I don`t know how, but adb root acess was disabled.
I flashed the latest CM11 build in my DX, and so far it's going great. As usual, I went to install the Samba app, since the USB seems to still be a bit buggy. Oh well. Luckily, I found an APK for it on another XDA thread, since it seems to have been pulled from the Play store. I went to push it to my DX, and it seems that ADB isn't working. Normally the DX would prompt me to give my laptop permission to use ADB, but...nothing. I've tried rebooting the phone and my laptop multiple times, and I made sure that my user was a member of the group "plugdev". Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Long story short, I'm currently using RR on my phone. But then I go ahead and encrypted it.
Everytime I tried to go to recovery, TWRP kept flashing and does not run at all.
So I thought I could re flash TWRP again, I goes to fastboot/bootloader mode:

How can I find fastboot driver for Windows 10, I try to install all but nothing works.
Thanks,
(e~what do you want to do)
Try this: download ADB, and create a new file named "adb_usb.ini" under C:\Users\(your PC user name)\.android. And copy 0x18D1(it's your phone vid) to this file
Reboot to fastboot then connect to PC
Thanks Liuxu, I figured out the problem. In the creator update, I need to download the samsung ADB driver and change android 1.0 to ADB interface, otherwise it does not work.
