Should I buy i9500 or i9505 or others

My Galaxy s3 just died this morning So I'm thinking of buying a new phone. But I don't have too much budget on my hands. My needs are:
1) Good community support: I want to buy phone which has Stable CM12.1 release. Please let me know are there any major bugs on cm12.1 roms for i9500 ?
2) Good Camera: I believe s4 has one
3) Expandable Memory
4) Good battery backup
5) Good Display
Also the US cousin of i9500 i.e. i9505 is also available for little more, but if I go for that I would lose warranty and will also spend little more. So is it worth to go for i9505 ? I know it has 4g which i9500 doesn't have. But how good are the lollipop ROM stability on i9505, is it more stable ? Any other things which I'm missing out ?
Also I have option to go for oneplus one, but I don't know how good is the quality of phone when compared with Samsung ? I want to use it for atleast next 2-3 years
Avoid US models of S4 unless from T-Mobile (M919). The AT&T (I337) and Verizon (I545) models come with locked bootloaders which make customization difficult. The Verizon and Sprint (L720) models use CDMA instead of the global standard GSM, making them difficult to use outside of the US.
Canadian devices don't have the bootloader or CDMA issues, but if you live anywhere in Europe you will want the I9505. The LTE bands of US and Canadian devices are different, and you may get slow LTE, if any LTE at all. Whether Android 5.x.x runs well on it is a matter of opinion. Some will swear by it while others curse it. You'll have to try it out for yourself.
The I9500 has no LTE but also has little custom ROM support. I don't recommend it.
oh, I thought i9500 had good ROM support
Anyway will look for others then..thanks
Will go for LG G2 d800 then..
That's a good choice, but you were contemplating the OnePlus One as well. What made you select the G2 over the One?
G2 camera got ois ..only thing I miss in s4.. one plus one and yuphoria got official cm os .. greatly customizable

One plus one is only 16gb, 64gb is expensive
I'm getting g2 32gb for lot less, even cheaper than one plus 16gb..hardware/ram pretty much same between them two..

Looking to Buy g2 d800 vs d802

I'm looking for a new phone. Earlier I was considering galaxy s4 i9500 but I'm thinking of going for g2 as it has better community support However, I see international version d802 is about $50 costlier than us d800 version
Hardware wise I've compared they both seem same. So does it make sense to spend extra $50, as I see the ROMs support all the variants ? Is there anything I'm missing out ?
Also, is LP 5.1.1 stable on g2 ? I'm specifically looking for CM based roms
well bump?

Unlocking the Galaxy s6 edge plus

Hi there,
Soon to be first time android user(maybe?) wanting to purchase a Galaxy s6 edge plus.
But I have a couple of questions I was hoping people with experience can help me out.
1.- Since I live in the US but will be using the phone often overseas, I would like a fully unlocked phone that will work with any mobile carrier. But it is such trouble buying unlocked phones in the US I am really confused as to how should I proceed doing so? I could buy an Att phone at full retail and get it unlocked by them right? Will I be able to delete the ATT bloatware? Is there a better way to just buy an unlocked phone? I want the 64 gb gold version which seems to be very very hard to find ( ATT does have it though). Note: I am aware Verizon phones are unlocked but they do not carry the 64 gb gold variant and aren't their bands totally bad for international use?
2.- Coming from an iphone user, I've always jailbroken every iphone i've owned, it truly unlocks the full potential of a phone such as installing small modifications that make a great diff. My question is: will I be able to do the same with my galaxy s6 edge plus if I get my hands on an unlocked one? Is this called rooting? I've been reading threads from here and what I got is that rooting devices is very hard specifically for the galaxy brand? Is there a way around that?
That's all for now, just want to thank you going to the trouble of reading my post and would really appreciate your help if you happen to know any of the questions I have.
Thank you

Verizon Variant of HTC 10 or Unlocked Version With Radio Flash

Hi, I currently have an LG G3 that is over 2 years old and is unfortunately dying on me, so I'm planning on buying an HTC 10 in the next couple of days. My G3 is rooted and I've been enjoying the benefits of having root.
After doing some research, I've come to a cross-roads. I'm unsure of whether to get the Verizon variant of the HTC 10 or get an unlocked HTC 10.
I realize the obvious solution is "you obviously want root, get an unlocked phone, easily root it, and flash the Verizon radios". The problem is, I have no idea if, say a year from now, Verizon does something with their network so that the flashed radio on unlocked HTC 10's no longer works. Or somehow the flashed radio, in some way, becomes incompatible with Verizon's network (both very unlikely, maybe impossible, but that's why I'm asking). Perhaps the Verizon variant works on the network significantly better than the unlocked variant with a Verizon radio.
The other option is to get the Verizon variant. It will work as well as possible on Verizon's network. I won't ever have to worry about radio issues. But then I get Verizon's crapware and a locked bootloader and no rooting option except to mail it in to people I don't know (yes, I realize they can be completely trusted, and have been rooted and unlocking people's phones, but this is something I would really rather not do).
I think the safest option might be to get the Verizon variant and then wait for the exploit to be released so I can root and unlock the bootloader myself. The problem is, I have no idea how long this would take, and I need to go ahead and get this phone in the next few days.
What do you guys think? I'll probably end up getting the Verizon variant, but I love second opinions, especially by people who know way more about a topic than I do.
There is already a topic started on this exact same thing. A moderator will probably close this thread due to it being a duplicate. Please find the original thread and post your question on there.

Which LG V20 model should i buy?

I live in Australia and I'm seriously considering buying this phone. The version sold here is the H990DS, I've seen around that the dual sim version is worse for rooting for some reason??? Also I know that the T-Mobile variant in the US has root, and it's not looking too well for the other US variants, so do you guys think the H990 has any hope for root in the future? I'd consider buying the T-Mobile version simply because it already has root and the development for it looks like it's really picking up, however it's not really compatible with the bands here in Australia. Don't international versions usually have an unlocked bootloader etc? I'm just trying to read up and understand as much as I can before I make a decision for buying this phone or not, I'm really into rooting and custom roms and stuff, been having fun with my Samsung S4 for years and I really don't want to give that up. The other phone that i was considering was the S7 Edge, which is more clearcut as to if it has root or not.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out, first time posting on xda
looking at v20 and am also in au
Did you have any luck with v20 ,as it seems to be best overall in specs usability otg band just seems to be issues of root for h990ds and I am a noob.
