OK, so I have a Sprint Galaxy S 4 with cusom recovery and rom (rooted/unlocked). I want to sell it so that I can buy the Nexus 5. Can people with different services use the phone on networks like T-mobile, Verizon, AT&T, etc.? Is there anything that I can tweak to make it available for those networks? Thanks in advance!
No.

Looks like you're in the wrong section. This is for the international GS 3 rather than any us variant so any help probably will either be a. Harmful to the device or b. Not helpful at all

I have a extra tmo s4 and I was wondering if I were to unlock and flash an att rom n apn'z would I still get lte speed.
And does a bad tmo imei get blocked on att too?

It will work as long as the imei isn't affected on the att side. If device was reported lost or stolen it will be blocked on both carriers I believe. If just unpaid on tmobile it sometimes works but I'm not for certain. Att Roms will work but you'll have to flash a T-Mobile or i9505 kernel I believe as most att custom Roms have loki kernels.

Thanks Febby. I'm glad u reminded me about the kernel. Probably would of bricked.
Its just an unpaid tmo phone from a family plan gone wrong.
I suppose I could use a GE rom too I hope.

Any ROM will work, such as i9505 Roms or even T-Mobile. Just add the APN for att.

You should've gotten the T-Mobile version if you wanted to use it on T-Mobile...
Yeah you should be able to use I it on t-mobile not sure if lte will work though

You'll need to put Tmobile APN settings to connect to Internet and send/receive MMS. I believe you CAN also enable LTE band 4 so you can connect to Tmobile LTE. See the service menu thread on how to do that.

The best root I've used is Kingo Android Root HERE. Doesn't even wipe the phone.
Hello Community,
I recently purchased an unlocked t-mobile G2 for use on the Bell and Wind network.
Im thinking of rooting my device to enable the ability to uninstall all the t-mobile bloatware as well as the carrier IQ software.
I have two questions:
1. Being a tmobile phone on a Canadian network - should tmobile push an update, will I receive that or will I have to wait for my provider to push it?
2. I assume rooting the device will disable any hope of receiving and update regardless of US or Canadian carrier?
Thank you in advance for any comments.
Um tmobile won't work on the bell version, you can make calls but not 3g. ...it Will work on wind tough. ..
1. I don't know
2 . yes

Thank you for the response, However I must disagree with your initial statement. I currently have the tmobile G2 on Bell and I am getting 4G/LTE service.
Hmm I wonder if it works the other way around then. ..I didn't think Pentaband was unlocked on this phone I'll try with one of my friends wind cards on my Rogers g2

I made the mistake of trading for an N-9009 that I can't do much with. It's a CDMA phone with a GSM slot, but unfortunately the GSM is talk/text only (no data). It roams on Verizon, but my attempts to flash it to Page Plus are stopped because I can't get it into diag mode.
Does anyone know if any other ROMS can be flashed to this phone? I don't even care if I lose the second SIM slot.
Does anyone know how to get into diag mode, or if it's blocked all together?
Does anyone go to China and want the damned thing?
Currently there is only Android 4.3 for your model.
Maybe u can use it on Verizon or sprint they are cdma
