Hi,
I'm having problems with some of the 4.3 roms for the vwz G2. All of them except Carbon don't really work. When I flash there are errors restoring my apps from the Play Store. Some of them will install fine but the majority will error out with a 920 code. Also there will be weird issues with SSL certificates while on the internet.
So far I've tried wiping everything save internal storage in TWRP, also I've tried clearing the cache/data on Play Store and Play Services and trying to re-download when it happens. Nothing's worked.
Would appreciate any advice, I really want to try OSE, AICP, et al.
Thanks!

hello all,
not been on here for a while, but wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue to mine. I have flashed the Cyanogen 7.1 mod and the gapps file from the cyanogen wiki. I have all the new google apps including google play appear in my menu but no google maps.
I hve downloaded google maps form google play but when installing I get the error "incompatible with other applications using the same UserID"
Does anyone have a simple fix for this one?
Regards
Graeme
i had the same problem. reflashing will help
Have you tried uninstalling maps, clearing the market cache then re-installing?
You might also want to try a re-flash of the gapps and maybe even of the rom.
im also having a similar problem, and those solutions found by googling and looking at random forums, hasn't worked. (they mostly said mount system...)
but, i dont get market or anything else. this is from a full wipe.
also tried flashing the ROM and then the gapps straight after ROMflash, also tried flashing gapps after i've done first boot. tried clearing cache and remove data on both tries also.
I started having problem with my Google Play Store, when i click on Play Store i get this error showing "unfortunately, google play store stopped"
when i was running stock ROM, i never got any error. i flashed my nexus7 to CM10.1, everything went well beside the google play stopped working.
i have tried every trick people been attending such ass (clearing data, force stop, factory reset, removing and adding accounts, i even tried reflashing to stock Rom)
even after flashing to stock Rom i got same error. i tried installing apk file for Google Play store but still no luck with the error.
i even tried flashing down version gapps and still shows same error.
I am running CM10.1 nightly right now
i would really appreciate for any help, this is driving me nuts
i was also wondering if i should format my Nexus7 wifi

i tried fixing permissions, but it didn't solve the problem
Man, I know this is going to sound stupid but are you using the correct version of GApps? I flash numerous roms and have numerous versions of GApps. I do IT and sometimes you just have to walk through every step if all else has already failed. Its obviously a software issue since you can do other things with the table. I hope this helps.
So I have tried flashing a couple of the 24a based Roms Madhi and PA and for both roms I am unable to connect to anything Google. No play store, no YouTube, no play services. Gmail works, but nothing else. I currently have the 24a bootstack.
I have searched and tried every suggestion. Made sure time and date were set to automatic, made sure host file was cleared, cleared cache on all apps, deleting and signing in again to Google account. Does anyone else have any ideas that could help?
I am also using the stock kernels.
I have this error "Unknown issue with Google Play Services" whenever I try to open Gmail... Couple of weeks ago, I skipped some updated and all my google related apps stopped working.. gmail, chrome, photos.. I somehow managed to fix them by uninstalling and reinstalling but gmail is not getting fixed. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Cheerz

If you are on a custom ROM I would suggest reflashing your GApps by first wiping system, then dirty flashing the ROM and then flashing the GApps. Then wipe cache and dalvik and reboot.
I do not have custom ROM, however I do have twrp installed..
My S4 is misbehaving since i installed twrp on it. No other modifications were made before that, so it's a bit puzzling since i haven't found other threads about this.
My problem is that after installing twrp many applications have stopped working or have disappeared altogether, including whatsapp, google play services, google play, etc... As a workaround i've tried re-installing opengapps (mini and stock) and clearing cache/data for Google Play and Services, but that didn't work.
My first guess was that twrp somehow messed up the userdata folder, but some applications there work just fine and it wouldn't make a lot of sense for installing twrp to do that, so i'm at a loss. I still haven't tried a factory reset yet and if possible i'd prefer to fix the problem rather than reinstalling, so any help would be highly appreciated.
Twrp was installed following cyanogen mod's wiki instructions ( https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_jfltexx ) from linux.
