Boot Loop waiting system process - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hy,
I am not rooted, I have only tried to update with Samsung Rom to MJ3 .. but even after factory reset impossible to go after WIFI / Gmail Account before a reboot.
It 's a N9005, with AP: XXUBMI7 and CSC: LUXBMI3, I had reflashed many times original rom without success.
Anybody has a solution ?
Thanks

Hi can you give us more information about the phone carrier etc

try emergency recovery through kies 3

If the new bootloader is flashed, Kies 3 emergency recovery WON'T work as the stock rom is on the old bootloader... You will just get a permanent bootloop...

[Q] Unroot the N900T glitch !!!

Hi guys,
Here the scenario,
Bought a new Note3 Tmobile N900T Note3. But i couldn't wait for the dealer to provide me the unlock code. So i rooted + the region lock away provided by the elite Chainfire ... but then i decided to unroot it again so i can get the updates from Samsung so everything went fine. The only thing that was messed up is when using the Spen in the right middle if the screen that looks like it lost there with not accurate calibration. Originally it was working just fine. So the stock ROM that published online don't think is the 100% version of the stock no ?. the 4 dots that are not interact well with the Spen on the screen make me really frustrating. Any help i really appreciated ... Thanks !!!
Hi sami, (sammy ?)
Try to download it again from sammobile and reinstall it.
IT happend to me, the spen is working fine now but as my Knox is in 0x1 I can't get the OTA updates

[Q] Replacing Galaxy Note 3 FTM version with XEF

I have at this moment a simlocked Galaxy Note 3 France Orange FTM version. I would like to replace the FTM rom with the XEF Rom.
- do I loose my warranty?
- Can I upload de XEF rom via KIES or do I need tu use ODIN?
- When I have flashed the ROM, do I received the updates for the XEF via OTA/KIES or does the Note 3 not recognize it as the official ROM?
In advance thanks for your help....
1/ No
2/ Odin
3/ This depends wether you are rooted or not... if not rooted, OTA should continue to work. If rooted, you should disable the updates to make sure not to receive a new bootloader
You need to retrieve the XEF firmware from sammobile for your device
Which can be directly flashed using Odin
Or you pass the new firmware through Vega method to root it and remove any new bootload.
If rooted, then Wanam Xposed can pass the status to Official.
Have a look to the "Original Android development" forum
Good luck
And although I have a simlock from Orange I would still be able to flash XEF ROM???

No link between rooting and simlock. You re phone will still be locked to orange. I dont understand how this is blocked... u get a code to un simlock but no tweak for that ... So yes you re phone with this method will have to be used with an orange sim. It's just an operating system

I tried this afternoon to replace ROM N9005XXUDMJ6_N9005FTMDMJ4_N9005XXUDMJ4_HOME.tar.md5 with ROM N9005XXUBMJ3_N9005OXXBMJ3_N9005XXUBMJ2_HOME.tar.md5 but it is getting refused.
I put my Note 3 (ORANGE France locked) in ODIN mode. Loaded the XEF ROM in ODIN (version 3.0.7). Check was OK...but the moment I hit start it shows fail on both my phone and in ODIN.
I downloaded the ROM via sammobile site.

Looks like you're trying to downgrade to an older version ROM? If that's the case then this won't work. You can flash same or newer version (e.g. MJ7) only with this method.

Downgrading bootloader 5.1.1 on COJ5

I have a Samsung Note 4 (N910C) on 5.1.1 (COJ5) firmware. I have rooted the phone and put a RunningLite custom rom. There is a custom rom that I really like which runs only on 4.4.4 or 5.0.1 bootloader and not 5.1.1. Is there any way to downgrade the bootloader? I read somewhere that the COJ5 bootloader is locked by Samsung and cannot be downgraded? Is there any way to unlock the bootloader? Pls advice. Thanks!
You're not the first one to ask this. I have an SM-N910F (SnapDragon), and these have no problems downgrading. But looking around XDA, I've seen numerous posts saying the N910C (Exynos) can't be downgraded due to the bootloader. Since I don't own one, I can't really verify, but looking at the sheer number of people reporting the same thing... You know
-RFB
No we cant downgrade
Everytime Odin says falid....

the new security patch update of march in note 4 locks the bootloader completely and prevents downgrading while before the update, the bootloader was unlocked and it was easily downgradable, I've seceded in that too..
now, after the update, the bootloader updates to COJ5 and above depending on areas and countries..
so its simple, any bootloader above that means you cant downgrade and any bootloader below that means its downgradable..
heres the solution,
firstly, you'll have to downgrade your bootloader
heres the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...37&postcount=3
download any bootloader below COJ5 of your current android version and model, that is 5.1.1 i guess..
exctract it and flast with ODIN in "BL" box..
you'll now have an unlocked bootloader..
than factory reset/ wipe data, wipe cache..
next, flash 5.0.1 via ODIN, factory rest again,
than finally flash 4.4.4 for your model and factory reset once more..
boom!!! you're good to go..
hope this helps
P.S: I'm not responsible for any damage, do it on your own risk..

my bootloader was not COJ5, it was COK1 with XSG firmware,
i managed to downgrade it to COH4 and downgrade the firmware to 4.4.4 XSG
you can give it a shot..

dam I updated to COK1 before you posted. i'll do some battery impressions too.
As to answer your previous post, I have SM-n910c XSG and I updated to COK1 from COJ5. So you shouldn't have COJ5. what was ur update before that?

I personally haven't tried it but i wanted to downgrade for better battery life. I'm not sure if mnanabhai21's method is safe and tested by others. And in general, I'm scared to tweak samsung devices :crying:
5.0.1 for me was terrible. Last time i remember, battery was good(?) but i had constantly had horrible performance in games/benchmarks. The one right b4 COJ5 had good battery life and performance for me.
the CSC is the problem, thats why Odin always says FAILED!!! at the end .. when he wanna flash the Hidden file.
Today i was downgrading from MM to KK.. just take latest LL firmware from your region (csc .. in my case DBT), flash the thing and than if you wanna KK do the same princip, but with same csc

I Found a way to unlock the bootloader on coj5 through samsung kies
1: open samsung kies 3 and choose the 4th option in the up left side (tools) an then choose the 2nd option (firmware upgrade and iniciation)
2: in the new window introduce the phone model (SM-N910C/F/A...etc) click ok, now introduce the S/N: (which you can find in the battery´s place and for do that you´ll have to remove the battery from your phone and search the S/N on it ) once you have done introduce it such as it is, click ok, follow the steps put your phone into downloading mode and wait until it finishes ... and thats all enjoy :silly:

Try that :

or that :

I have understood a thing on your phone :
your bootloader = PB2 (P=2016; B=february; rev2) -> common version to all N9005
your PDA = OF1 (O=2015; F=june; rev1)
your CSC = OG1 (O=2015; G=august; rev1) -> must be according of your operator (exemple: for me: France SFR -> XEF, but I can too NEE (Nordic Countries) because XEF is included in NEE)
On sammobile, that you see is PDA and CSC NOT BOOTLOADER !
Do you live in Slovenia ?

If you want, nothing is risked with SAMSUNG !
But that I wanted to say to you is that there is an anomaly :
your bootloader (= kernel = motor of the ROM) is newer than the PDA !!!
It means that you have downgraded the firmware...
So you should try to install latest ROM from Sammobile (the higher on the page).
Remove your battery during 20sec then flash it, then reboot in recovery, then wipe everything.
Then say me if EFS mounting error...
