HELLO EVERYONE
i am using a i ball usb keyboard which yesterday started giving problem
some keys doesn't work i don't know why but some are working so please tell me the solution

Which keys? Is it always the same ones? Does the keyboard work better on other machines? Do they work if you, say, press harder or wiggle them around a bit? Have you even tried unplugging and reconnecting it, or rebooting the computer, yet? What machine are you using this with? Have you tried any other keyboards, or indeed other USB devices,w ith that machine? If it has multiple USB ports, have you tried switching to a different one? Is the cable damaged in any way? Was anything spilled on the keyboard? What style of keyboard is it (no, I'm not going to research this for you, you're the one trying to get *us* to spend our time helping *you*)? Has it ever had problems before? How long have you been using it? Have you searched the Internet for anybody else with this problem?
I don't know what the solution is, but I can tell you the first problem you need to solve: you write crummy bug reports / requests for help. Your entire post boils down to
"It doesn't work. Tell me how to fix it"
and I was sorely tempted to respond with a simple "No." because you've given me absolutely nothing to work with, here.

Hello everybody.
I was wandering if anybody else have had this problem, search doesn't seem to indicate so.
My wizard keyboard has recently started to act up. When I type 'e' for example it types 'he' instead, same goes for 'h'. When I type 'j' it types 'jr'. It might be hardware problem, maybe contacts got squashed together or something like that. I have tried reinstalling different roms with no luck. By the way it stopped doing it for couple of days and now it does it again. Thanks for all the help in advance

Also its not only e and j that have the problem, but almost every letter has some kind of wrong action.

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with individual keys wearing out on the 6800. Three of my keys have become a little difficult to use. When I press them they act as if they have not been pressed. I have to press the many times before they will work.
I've tried googling but the only problem people seem to be having is the "symbol problem". My problem is different from this - it is a mechanical problem. The phone is only 6 months old and I use it regularly but not excessively.
I'm thought about taking the phone apart to see if there is anything that I can do.
I have the exact same issue, mostly with the space bar... some keys would take pushing it several before it works or sometimes I would press the key once and I get two letters, for example if I press E once I get EE.
Let me know if you find a solution for this, it's extremely annoying.
sounds like normal wear and tear to me. if you use a button alot, eventually its going to start working less efficiently than it used to. there are a bunch of good (free) full screen keyboards that you can use to give your keyboard a rest. taking apart your phone is a really bad idea. if you've only had it for 6 months, its still under 1 yr manufacturer warranty. send it in and get a new one.

probably the most direct way is to head into a Sprint store. and try your best to talk to them like you know what youre talking about, so they dont try to jerk you around. when i was using the xv6700, i got 9.. yes 9 replacement phones on my manufacturers warranty. if there is nothing to show that YOU have damaged the keys, they have to replace the phone for you.
try this, it fixed my key misses and repeats, but i have to hit the keys a bit harder.
Unfortunately, 'titan_key.cab' does not fix my problem

Thanks for the file...unfortunately, the problem persists on my Mogul.
Has anyone found a solution that makes the hardware keyboard perform as it did BEFORE the last official ROM upgrade was released into the wild. Installation of that [allegedly] tested and approved HTC/Sprint file coincided with my beginning to experience my KB problems.

I am not a techie I am an accountant so please bear with me.
I have just bought a used XDA Mini S. However, I am occassionaly getting a white screen with blank vertical lines. I also have a problem with the symbols on the pull out QWERTY keyboard.
I have tried a soft reboot but the device does nothing I thought it was supposed to erboot and turn on?
I also found this in another thread but it is meaningless to me:

Some have experienced the symbols on their slide out keyboard to become mixed up after upgrading to this rom. The following registry edit will resolve this issue.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty]
"Layout"=dword:263177 change this to "Layout"=dword:132105
I do not know what has been done to the machine so I do not know if the above will work (even if I could understand what I had to do!) or just make it worse! I do not want to do a hard reset as I cannot get the activesync to work and I may be left with an expensive brick! I know it was upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1 and there were a lot of additional programs.
I used to have a Palm and didn't have any of these problems. Is it just because someone has mucked about with it?

over the past few weeks some of the buttons (namely left soft key, up and left) have stopped working, i've tried numerous roms just incase but it's definatley a hardware issue, now, i've dismanted the phone using the diamantos guide to see if anything jumps out at me, gave the phone a damn good cleaning whilst i had the chance, put it back together....but nothing, everything seems to be in order, all components in their rightful place but i still cant work it out, does anyone know if this is a common problem or if theres a fix as i've been unsuccessful in my searches.
actually, i just found the solution and it worked a treat, thanks anyway people.
btw, if anyone would like to know what i did then i'll be more than happy to share the solution.

Hi guys i have really bad problem there is NO WAY to connect my HD2 to PC in windows mobile. I have 5 years experience in WM and have been using my phones to sync until NOW-it simply wont work anymore.
I tried switching computers, always shows just charge, not Mass Storage or ActiveStink, the pop-up doesn't show, only charger is showed in taskbar.
I tried flashing stock ROM&radio (1.66), switching extra 2 computers and all ports on theirs an mine,
I tried going to Android and start pc connection and it WORKED, flashing (obviously) also works. only in (any) wm rom apparently doesnt. what the hell?!?
Soo, has anyone else seen this? please help i cannot even get complete schedule for next week to sync on my phone and i need it..

you don't seem to get my point i have w7 and device cente and sync WORKED all the time. also USB works on android! and i can flash!
today it stopped working inside WM so i tried 4 different computers and stock rom and all their ports but phone still registers PC as charger an i don't see a popupp to select connection, it only charges. checked everything 1000 times and flash wipes everything off the phone so it should work fresh but it doesn't....
i'm guessing some kind of HW problem, but how can connection be sucsessful in android if that+s the case?!?!
i need some real help here...
okay i self bump myself as noone seems to take me seriously...
Today afrer recieving a call it put me on speaker right after the call started without even touching the screen! I also noticed that Navipanel opens itself randomly! that got me thinking....
...could it be that HD2 is recgnizing that it's being on Dock without being in? How's that done(hw switch or only software)? Is there a solution for that?

dirty / faulty usb socket. give it a scrub with a dry toothbrush. read the threads "stuck in car kit mode".
not sure why it should work in android, but your symptoms (charge only, and calls go straight to speaker) are both seen by everyone with this problem.

i thought that android isn't coded to support car kit so it can bypass the "flaw" if it doesn't know what's the signal for

UPDATE:
Solved problem with scrubing on usb port with toothbrush to clean the dust away, but it still didn't work right away so i had to MOVE CONNECTED usb cable to all directions pretty hard. it started working while pushing on RIGHT. thanks to samsamuel!
