Ok so ive had the note for 3 days now, used the pen maybe two or three times, and the last time I used it I must have set it down somewhere cuz I cant find it anywhere. I do however keep getting this little message popup reminding me to put the pen back in the phone. I dont know wut triggers the message. it pops up quite a bit with no noticeable pattern. Sux too cuz I never really got to play around with it for more than a minute or two. Does the phone have a feature that can help me find the pen or do I just need to buy a new one? Gracias everyone!

Settings_spen uncheck spen keeper.
If you Google maps "best buy" it will show you and help you navigate your way to your s pen

I took a white one off display at a local Verizon display. Now I have an extra one from those pigs. watch out...
I live a rebellious life. Even though not recommended, that's the only thing you could do atm.

I know the Windows phones are the big question in a lot of Android users eyes these days but I have to admit the Note 2 is a demon and though it will be like holding a salami sandwich to the side of my head I can't ignore the specs which is why I got the GS3 in the first place. I will be watching but I think it's still too early to tell if I'll be racing to the store since the last purchase nearly made my car the bedroom.
I am going for the Smart TV next though (Samsung rocks).

Just ignore people like that man they have nothing better to do than cry about it not being in the Q&A and really if that is their biggest thing to worry about it should make you feel better for having real issues not trolling forums whining.
back on topic, i am debating getting that or the one x+ if it comes out around the same line cant decide yet note 2 has a good lead though huge screen is right up my ally but pockets are getting too full to fast

The note 2 is a downgrade from the gs3 in terms of hardware. No way I'd downgrade. I had an international note and it wasn't in my top 5 best phones. I've had every high end phone too. I won't be getting rid of my s3 for one unless it has a huge dev community which I don't foresee.

That's interesting. It's about time the exynos supported lte and hspa+ 42. I bet that thing is gonna be a battery hog even with that huge battery. I'll be interested to see how this phone lands. If it's like the s3 and all the versions are similar then dev should be great. We will see.

I just got my note this Week, and I love it, but I had a quick question. When I qm trying to write accurately,the pencil will go crazy on me, effectively giving my letters tails, Is this normal? Should I exchange? It doesn't depend on the location of where Im writing (from what I can tell)

It's not normal. It could be the display but it could also be the S-Pen. I got my S-Pen wet and even after it dried what I'd write on the display was sometimes off. Whichever it is, if you can exchange it, you should.

well you could replace the screen. or just take it back & get a replacement device. within 14 days verizon would give you a new one. not sure about other carriers.

If it's red it would then be a stuck pixel? There are some ways to potentially fix those (flashing images of different colours very quickly), but being brand new I would replace the phone.

If only one pixel out of 2073600 pixels is stuck or dead and it doesn't affect you much, then keep it.
But if it bothers you, you are fully entitled to exchange your new phone.
Same problem here, bought a S4 this morning with one dead or stuck pixel (green dot on black background).
Already exchanged at the store with no problem.

These things never does. I have had a lot of devices with stuck/death pixels - always seems to be a 1st batch issue. And always we find these "fix" recommendations but they NEVER work Swap it.
I had a red stuck pixel on my Galaxy S2, I removed it by simply rubbing the screen on the dead pixel while applying pressure.
It disappeared and never came back
I'd be devastated rather take it back.

Have you tried the motion scrolling stuff on the S4? It's not that impressive. Learning curve is steep. And once you get the hang of it, you'll realize that it's still infinitely easier to just scroll with your finger.

The Nexus 4 lacks the hardware it needs to do so. Thus, it's highly unlikely that feature will be on the N4.

The S4 uses the front camera to provide that functionality, so the Nexus 4 has the hardware to provide that fuction.
That function is not a goal. Around light must by strong, face exactly before the phone. You will rather scroll through your fingers.

I was, but given the resent news of a Nexus 5 with Sprint LTE support I'm holding off until it gets announced. If it won't come out to Sprint the Moto X will be my next.

I will be getting one soon in white when its available for SWAC purchase. Having an available upgrade is nearly killing me but I doubt I will have to wait much longer. I'm not sure what you guys are reading about another Nexus on Sprint but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I'm still thinking about it. I'll probably time it so that I'm eligible to trade it in for a Note 3 within the 14-day grace period just in case I don't like it.

I should get one soon hopefully. My broken screen EVO 3D finally gave up the other day, no phone ATM:crying:. Stopped by one of the local Sprint stores, they didn't have any in stock and would let me know when they'll be getting them in the store. Just some quick thoughts since i just got mine, all bloatware except sprint zone seems removable. Also unless it times out on me it looks like Google wallet may work. It came preloaded anyway

Would you mind grabbing a system dump for me please? Connect phone to computer with usb debugging enabled and run the following command (open a command prompt in the directory where you have adb, tell me if you don't have it and I'll link you to a quick download for it)

adb pull /system system
Then wait for that to complete and zip up + upload the folder it makes and drop a link for me...

Were you able to get wallet up and going? If you did then the rest of us may be able to bring it over the vzw and att. If we are able to change lines in our build prop to make it think its a sprint then install and set up wallet then revert back like we did with the s3. Might be some hope as long as the secure element is hidden somewhere.
