This maybe a stupid question, but anyone have both the HDX and the factory cable, and have you tried? This is my first kindle and I never have the factory cable. I have done a quick google and haven't seen anyone tried it yet. Just another option to explore.

Hi,
On my ThinkPad Tablet, I can't enable the USB debugging anymore. Enabling it in the system settings doesn't do anything, and after rebooting, the according check box is not checked anymore.
It worked initially. Now the tablet is rooted, and I've installed CWR, but I am not sure if this has caused the problem.
Does anyone know this kind of problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I don’t have that problem after root and CWM - german TPT 64GB.
I don't have that issue either. 183827U 64GB. I also never understand checked it after root. I have CWM installed.
I have a Canadian S4 and my camera is not working. It is similar to the link below but the camera does not focus for far away and it simply does not take a picture after the first one unless I clear app or restart the phone. This issue is apparent on multiple roms (i337m & i9505) but I recently restored the phone to a stock rom with the same issue. Clearing the cache/data does not work. Any of you guys have this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Of course, it was one of the first things I did .
Anyone else have any other input?
Hello All,
I did an OTA update on my phone recently and I am getting this message that states "Android Recovery google/angler/angler 8.0.0/OPR6.170623.019/4299446 user/release_keys Use volume up/down and power. Can't load Android system. Your data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all user data stored on this device.
Try again Factory data reset."
My phone is 100% stock. Never modified in any way.
Things I have tried. 1 ) Clearing the Cache 2 ) Heating up the back of the phone to get it to go into LIMP mode 3 ) Hitting try again multiple times
Problems 1 ) I never unlocked the Bootloader 2 ) I do not have USB debugging enabled 3 ) I do not have any of photos synced with Google Photos 4 ) After hitting Try again a few times my phone was stuck in a bootloop but that fixed itself and now it is at this exact same screen
All I really want is my Photos, I am fine if the device does not work afterwards. Is there potentially a service that I can pay them to retrieve my data of this phone? Looking for any advice or help. Thanks for your help.

How long have you had google photos on your phone? I am pretty sure it has been saving them. Check google photos on the web. Just see if any photos have been saved.

I have had google photos on it since the beginning. However, when I log into google photos there's only 10 photos there from various times. Not even close to all the photos I had on the phone.

That's strange. Not sure what to do about the phone. Have you tried reflashing the firmware with out wiping the phone?

I can't flash anything since I never enabled USB debugging mode. Is there a way to flash without enabling USB debugging? or is there a way to enable USB debugging without turning the phone on?

Maybe adb sideload ota will work. You will need to be in recovery. Otherwise you may be SOL with those pics since you can't boot it up without wiping.
Do you have another Android phone? Have you tried logging in the new phone with nexus 6p backups? When you first setup your phone, it will ask you if you want to load a backup from a previous phone.

I will try the adb sideload ota when I get home from work today and let you know if it works. The really stupid thing is I've never made a backup of this phone. Since it came with a USB-C to USB-C cable and my PC did not have any USB-C ports.

Google automatically backsup your phone using the email address you used to setup your phone with.
https://www.androidcentral.com/how-restore-your-apps-and-settings-new-android-phone
To start:
The phone is not rooted.
It used to be able to enter recovery mode (I tried to fix the boot-looping by deleting the cache) but it now reboots through it.
The phone itself is irrelevant--I only care about the data on its internal storage now.

I've got an old Lg Stylo 3 that's boot-looping and I really need the notes from Quick Memo. I've had it looked at professionally, but they couldn't do anything. So, now I'm at an impasse--I'm betting that a factory reset would fix it, but I would like to re-aquire my notes first. I've seen lots of obvious BS about programs that can recover data (including memo pad files) after a factory reset, and some less-obvious BS, too. Can anyone confirm this as possible and programs that can do it?
I've also read that's it's possible to factory reset, then turn off the phone to access it via USB and use data recovery, but this supposedly no longer works since the change to MTP. Is there any confirmation of this?
Is it possible that Fire Toolbox V22.0 has disabled System Updates on my Amazon Fire HD 10 Gen 9? That's the only thing that I can think of ... even following their Manual Procedure of updating doesn't work. Called their Cust. Serv. and they were stumped ... until I fessed-up that I used your Tool. Of course, their solution was "Do a Factory Reset" ... Noooo!
If anyone has an idea it would be greatly appreciated. - Article_86
I just noticed the same thing on both my 2021 Fire 8+ tablets. I seem to remember the last time I used Fire Toolbox, there was a pop-up recommending the disabling of system updates which I agreed to. I'm going to check that out. If there's no way to undo the disabling in Toolbox, I'll probably factory reset and use Toolbox again, without disabling updates.

I have exactly the same problem. Does the factory reset work? Any other workarounds?
Same thing here. Is a factory reset the only option? No other way to activate OTA updates again?
