I have the latin american sm-n900 and am unable to use it out of the us. I was wondering if it would be possible to flash a different modem to overcome the region lock? What part of the phone is incharge of the lock? HW? SW?

as far as I know its from the arab emirates,but I may be wrong?
Well, if I flash a firmware from a country where it is region free, will this also somehow remove my region lock? I basically have a European Note 3 and it's region locked. I just want the region-locked removed. Thanks

seriously dude i want to flash another countrys rom to region unlock on the s4 mini
Bro just think Samsung will make region lock that easy? In this case every one will flash other regions firmware to get rid of region lock.read more how to unlock......

Flashing another firmware will not help to unlock your device.
Typically you will need the unlock code to unlock the phone.
You can buy it online, or follow this topic to request it for free (if any luck).

It depends where you are from BTU is a European and Uk generic rom if its a generic rom that you want, or find one for your region that is not carrier specific
on my rom the build number iz g900fxxu1ang2 and on the sam mobile site there are a few firmwares with the same pda but they are for specific country can i flas any and will it work on my carrier ?
