I need some help making a basic live wallpaper program.
I need it to play through a set of images, or a .gif file in a loop.

If you already have all the images, you probably just need to draw each one separately in a loop

After some searching through the vast amount of information on these forums I'm still at a lose on how to create my own Theme's on my HTC Touch HD.
Do I need to change TouchFlo theme's or Manila themes? It is it a tad confusing to a noobie!
I've discovered things that edit previously made ones but dont really want to do this. I really need to be able to open the files in photoshop, preferably in JPG format in order to change them to my cool designs that I'm sure you'll all love!
I'm a Photoshop designer and think my skills at doing this would be appreciated once I've learnt how to save the files out. I've already got a few ideas on some of the icons/wallpapers/theme's I'm planning on using. If anyone can let me know how to rip the files from my phone that need chaning I'd appreciate it.

Ok, I have looked everywhere and searched many forums. Normally I can find answers to my questions easily here at XDA (woot woot) but I can't find this nor figure this one out. How do i make my own wallpapers that are animated. I have tried to take gifs but they won't animate in the background. The reason why is I am a huge doctor who fan and I want to turn a gif into working animated background for my HD2.
(I can't post the link so you would have to type "Doctor who - The Eleventh Hour - NEW opening titles!" in youtube to find the link of the video i want to do this with.)Specifically I want it from 00:00:01 to 00:00:13 but I do know how to edit and create gifs myself I just can't get them to be animated on my HD2.

I have been trying to find a very simple but good live wallpaper tutorial but cannot find one anywhere.
This is what I wanted to learn.
how to set a background image in java
how to tween images in java
how to frame by frame animation in java
all to make a very simple live wallpaper
the ones I have found are either way to complicated or really don't work with images at all.
If anyone knows of a good tutorial Id greatly appreciate a link as I am sure most would who are trying to learn this stuff.

I just went through a guide of making live wallpapers, there it showed tht we need to have a certain number of progressive images to animate the whole thing. from where or how do ppl get those images?
and if any live wallpaper dev is reading this...please start making some anime wallpaper, like bleach or naruto or gundam or even transformers....those stuff would look really cool

Hi all. Guys please help me. Already three months im trying to create a theme for golocker ive successfully understood basics. A basic go locker theme uses lockscreen.xml as main marque source and series of png images.There is nothing difficult. But some advanced themes as Transformer theme or Bug theme uses 3d graphics. I've spent already two month trying to find out how to do something like that. Mean use my own activity as a golocker screen instead of just editing lockscreen.xml. I've tried to decompile a number of themes trying to understand its implementations but it not enough. Please can somebody help me? I know it is possible to use your own activity as a golocker screem but how?
