It is stated that the MJ3 comes with a new bootloader that is patched against the method used by RDLV. There is nothing you can do about knox 0 x 1. At least for the time being.

After checking various firmwares and methods I can report that
Universal Root de la Vega originally developed for the Note 3 also works on the Note 10.1.2014 SM-P605. Knox is not tripped and the status remains 0x0.

Does it work with the exynos version SMP 600 ?
thank you!
@VCore
how did you achieve this with the 605, my 605 has a DBT MJ2 firmware which I do not find on sammobile.

I'm not sure. In the Universal Root de la Vega thread it says that the Exynos version doesn't have the required hooks.
If we've already rooted with the first method and tripped knox, flashing the stock firmware and then rooting with De La Vega wouldn't set it back to 0x0, right?

If Knox indeed uses an efuse, the status is permanent. Maybe some developer will find a solution in the future. Time will tell.
@VCore
Thanks, you made my day, so I will have a look after work. Root without tripping the Knox fuse is in range!

I'm seriously thinking of just flashing the stock firmware and returning it, then waiting. The Best Buy employees I've come across either don't care or aren't aware of how to check tablets for root status, knox, etc. I don't think I will have a problem.
As far as I understood the thread linked by VCore, the Knox efuse is not tripped. Have a look at the thread linked in post 1 and VCore's statement about successful rooting of a 605 LTE model.

If the CSC matches, it should not trip Knox. On my 605 it worked without tripping Knox.

I guess the best way to get familiar with the windows command prompt is to watch some tutorials.
You can try to search "windows cmd" on YouTube. For details on how to use Universal Root de la Vega you should check the
Universal Root de la Vega thread.
I followed the instructions to the letter but not getting root:
I use this: URDLV csc C:\P605XXUAMJ2_P605DBTAMI3_P605XXUAMJ1_HOME.tar.md5 to generate a file of 17Mb
I then use this on csc in odin, it does it's thing and restart
I copy the files in the root of the tablet then restart
I delete the files above and restart
And nothing has happened, done twice already!
Am I missing something?

I think you have to use URDLV full because the patch is done in the system.img.

Since your phone come with MJ7 installed out of the box, meaning to say your phone comes with a new bootloader which will trip the knox counter to 0x1 if you ever try to root your Note 3.

I do not know of any general way to do it if you are not rooted.
Here is a list of you are rooted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50011586#post50011586
(basically if you do a backup of all the flash = 32GB image you have it all; but to be honest restoring it might be a VERY complex thing).
Does your firmware have knox when you go in download mode?

Yes, it seems like your version DOES have knox but does NOT have the one line with the SWREV values (which only seems to be a debugging feature for Samsung).
What kernel with what date do you have under Settings / General / About device? Depending on that I would expect that you could root without tripping knox.

Are there versions without knox? I attached a screenshot with kernel version. My region code is BTU so Uk so I suspect I might be able to flash MI7 rom from samfirmware, but I'm not really sure.
can I safely flash mi7 for BTU ?

There is another solution than root de la vega. Follow this guide and you won't trip knox even if you root or install custom recovery/rom. You can also go back to 4.3 from 4.4.2 if kitkat is not your type.

Well... mi compilation number isN900W8UBUBMJ4 (as shown in the attached images a couple post ago). The firmware I used to patch with URDLV has the following details:
PDA: N900W8UBUBMJ4
CSC: N900W8TCEBMJ3
MODEM: N900W8UBUBMJ3
So, I asume that will trigger knox right? I ask a lot because here in Mexico, the note 3 has a price of $1,073 USD. As you can see, Telcel really overprice the phones, and I don't wanna lose warranty, but I wanna delete all the useless bloatware from Telcel.

The attached images on the first post says MHG which is why I said you can safely use urdlv. If it's MJ4, then using urdlv will trip knox. There is an app called Kingo that can root it but based on what I've read so far, it's hit or miss. Some had success rooting MJ4 without tripping Knox and then again some actually softbricked their phones and trip Knox. The guide that I linked you to will not trip Knox even if you install custom recovery and root your phone. The only caveat is you will have to update to 4.4.2. But should you need the warranty, you can always flash back to 4.3. Having said that, it's all up to you.

Well... I think then I will give it the big step... I considered the Klingo way, but as you said, is a coin toss, so I will take my chances and go with URDLV :good:
Hello
i have the SM-N910C running the official lollipop firmware,
days ago i've rooted it using CF auto root through the odin,
And it was successful, but the question is the CF auto root
replacing the stock Kernel to another one while flashing ?
cause when i reset flash counter using triangle away even without restarting the phone it still shows in triangle away:
counter: 1
Binary: custom
system: official
but in bootloader it says:
current binary: samsung official
system status: official
secure download : enabled
knox warranty void: 1
rp swrev: 1
and the reactivation lock is off in the settings and the bootloader
i just need the software updates after root
and resetting the flash counter to Zero
and to know the kernel is it stock or custom
anyone could help ?
and sorry for any bad english, thanks.

Hi, cf autoroot doesnt replace your kernel, so u should still have stock kernel.
and also as far as i know, triangle away doesnt work on note 4 ... so right now there is no way to reset the counter to zero.
and 1 more thing is you may have posted this question in the wrong thread, you should have posted it in the Q&A thread. ^^

Good luck trying to figure out how to reset that counter permanently - so far no one managed to find a way to do that since the introduction of KNOX back in 2013.
