Not a lot at the moment some one will do it

You should never use over the air (OTA) update when rooted, at least not with a current Sumsung device.
You might get a device back in a "normal" state and from then on use OTA again, but not from a rooted state.
It is close to 100% certain that the "knox warranty" flag can NOT be changed back to 0x00.

[SOLVED] [Q] Root disappear after OTA update

Hi,
First, Sorry for my english who is not perfect but i will try to write correctly
After using the root de la vega on my note 3 (AP : N9005XXUBMJ1 / CSC : N9005OXXBMJ1) with wanam xposed set to official status,
i had today an OTA update and my phone is now with AP : N9005XXUBMJ3 / CSC : N9005OXXBMJ3 with custom status and no root
it is possible to root again or flash a stock rom with 0x0 knox counter and official status ?
thanks for your help
Root disappear after OTA update
Is old, is normal.
is old, is normal ? i don't understand....
if i try to put the same rom i have (original samsung) from sammobile with odin, the knox count will change ?
thanks
Flashing an OTA will get rid of root but leave the modified staus, that was why triangle away was created. To get rid of modified status you can reflash the rom through ODIN. If you want to re-root you can, if you haven't tripped the knox warranty void then use de la vega method...
corsica13xda, did you flash a pre-rooted stock rom? If yes then of course it will trigger the warranty void as it is not a stock SAMSUNG rom, it has been modified and it isn't an official rom anymore...
i was MJ1 rooted with de la vega and checked survivel mode on super su pro
then did the OTA , now i am on MJ3 knox stil on 0x0 but system custom
didn't found any solution to get system official on MJ3 yet

Yes, BUT find your Stock rom on Sammobile then flash that... If you don't have root and a custom recovery there may be issues flashing a different CSC code that will probably void your warranty to fix...

[Q] root 4.4 kitkat (warranty)

Hi i have a question to ask . I bought my note 3 1,5 month ago and it is with a 2 year warranty . Is there any method to skip knox and not trip warranty i. i have seen root de la vega ( i think it is not yet available or it would be i am not sure ) , also i saw that triangle away is available but i dont know how this afects warranty . Also i know that 4.4 kitkat is not so stable and developers are waiting for a more stable update . I hope someone can guide me . TY
@panospao7 the short answer is: NO, you can't root kit kat without tripping knox!

Unfortunately root de la vega does now not work anymore without tripping the e-fuse thus disabling your warranty. This is because Samsung have caught onto the fact peope were trying to bypass the Knox counter and so patched the bootloader. I must say this is the reason I left Apple all those years ago. When we pay for something we should have to right to modify it as we want. Seems Samsung are following apples ways. My suggestion would be to wait until your warranty has run out. Then root your device !!!!

If u r still on old 4.3 bootloader, yes rudlv will work. But if on newer 4.3 bootloader and up, rudlv won't qork without tripping knox.
And other method if rooting will trip knox for sure.
And even u successfully root ur current device without tripping knox, once u update to kk, u will have to reroot again, and this time... no mercy.
TA is not able to revert knox as well.
And this knox issue, in some countries, the service center still never consider the flag. U have to check it urself.
If u really need root access, then u may forget/ignore ur warranty.
As for me, I need it for work, therefore... hell with knox warranty.

Thank all for the help . I will wait 1,5 year to go root or samsung to change its policy ( something that in at least 2-3 centuries might happen

[Q] Any reasons not to update to 4.4.2?

I have just bought a new S4. I have had one before and I like to root my phones. I was hoping that this one would come with 4.2.2 so I could keep it on the old bootloader for a while and be knox-free.
It came with 4.3 preinstalled, so I already have the new bootloader, but I am still on 0x0.
Are there any reasons not to update to 4.4.2 now? Is it possible to root and keep 0x0 on either 4.3 or 4.4.2, or do I have to trip knox to root now? I know that I can't install any custom roms yet without tripping the flag (I think).

rooting on stock 4.4.2 kitkat rom will trip knox warranty void to 0x1 and there won't be any turning back.. however, on 4.3 jb stock rom there is the possibility to root the phone without tripping knox warranty void;
so If I was you, I WOULDN'T UPGRADE TO KITKAT! And believe me, I would have rooted it if I was still on jb! But for me there is no other way but tripping knox for root.. I only have to hope and wait to see if someone can figure how to root 4.4.2 kitkat galaxy s4 without tripping knox..
And the reasons to not update to 4.4.2 are unlimited! The very first reason is the fact that non-system apps can't write on the external_sdcard anymore.. this due to limitations on sdcard by Google; and the only way to fix this is to modify a system file, the "platform.xml" in the system/permissions folder.. and you know, to be able to modify that file you have to be rooted. But rooting your phone will trip the knox flag....................
Despite the KNOX, none, since you already on 4.3 so I guess you won't be able to keep KNOX free anyway if you decided to flash

How do I root 4.3 safely, while keeping knox at 0x0? I have tried SAFEROOT, but it didn't work:
[*] You phone is detected and ready for rooting.
[*] Sending files to your device...
[*] Starting rooting program.
ro.build.product=jflte
ro.build.id=JSS15J
setsockopt() failed: Bad address.
this device is not supported.
kallsyms_addresses search failed.
[*] Checking if rooting succeeded
[*] Unfortunately, rooting failed. Cleaning up.

Been trying to look for an answer but all related thread seem to talk about KNOX trip

I've rooted my SM-A510F for a few days , and i return to the stock rom. Without root or odin. I returned to stock rom with samsung kies.. And my knox doesn't work.. The phone now working on basic rom.
Can someone help me ? How can i do to run knox?
But my knox doesnt work , i recive software updates from official samsung ?
If you tripped your KNOX, you cant get it back and use KNOX features anymore, and your warranty now is void. I bet you are already know that before you start rooting your phone.
For OTA updates, yes, you still recive OTA updates from samsung.

late on updates : april 2017

Hey guys;
I have an s8 that i bought used, it didn't get any updat since april 2017 ( before i had it), what could be the cause of that
And how can i upgrade to oreo without breaching knox ?
Thank you
Probably down to it being a carrier branded firmware but even then it's a long time. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? Or it was rooted previously, does stuff like s-health work fine and what not?
If it comes to it you can flash firmware via Odin software which update phone without tripping knox
My knox status
The apps works fine, and i am actually on Orange morocco, but i dont know the origin of the phone
