Is everyone's status bar on the top on home screen transparent and abit of black tint?

with nova launcher
I believe Samsung updated to this new, not-fully transparent status bar a few firmwares ago.
You have 2 choices: use an older, dated firmware that still has the fully transparent status bar; or use a custom launcher (such as Nova Launcher) to achieve such transparency.
Have the I9505G with Kit Kat loaded. Rooted and have Xposed framework installed with Nova Launcher. But I don't have the option in Nova for transparent status bar. Only Show Notification Bar followed by Hide Clock.
How do I get Nova to enable transparency?

My guess is you need the paid for version of Nova. It shows up on my non rooted 4.3 mk2 phone, and is transparent.

That is the one thing I would like. I currently have NOVA launcher. I like it because you can theme the icons and such but now I have the black status bar and black navi bar as well. In the stock launcher there is an option to make them both transparent. What am I missing?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've gone back to LG's launcher for this reason. Hopefully the ROM gods will add this as an option to add on.
I was going to come post the same thing. I just applied auto-hide soft keys and was wondering if this was an option. Using Nova and I pinch to bring the status bar and knock on to sleep on the status bar as well.

So I have installed the beta Apex launcher (2.2) on my G2 to get some transparency going that I have learned to love on my N7. But, after installing, I cannot find where to select the transparent status bar?
My N7's status bar was transparent automatically after the install.
Anyone have any luck with this on your G2 yet.

Try "Tinted status bar" on xposed installer. Its an xposed module and you can make the navigation bar and the status bar different colors OR transparent. [emoji1]
Isn't that a function came with 4.3?

I found a neat little trick to get transparent nav/status bars on pretty much any custom launcher. i use a theme that has gradient transparent nav/status bar. i use a theme called Pureness V4

I find the "flat style colored bars" to be significantly more functional as compared to "tinted status bar"
I need some help!
I have note 4 unrooted.
And i need transparent status bar in full screen.
I m using this app: StatusBar in FullScreen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en)
to get status bar show up in apps with full screen.
And now i need that status bar in full screen to be transparent.
I need my default bar to be transparent not some artificial bar that is over the default one.
I would like to leave my phone unrooted.

I have the AMZ version of the G4, which its not bootloader unlockable so is there a way to change the color of the notification bar from white to a different color? and how can you change the status bar icons?
Not unless you use another launcher or root.
Edit: You can use the accessibility settings to invert colors, but this changes the way the entire phone looks.

There's only one launcher that I know of that allows editing of the status bar and that's CleanUI, a IOS look alike. It was formally called Espier and isn't actually that bad, but when I tried it, I noticed more battery drain than Nova.
