[HELP] Nexus 4 Stuck in Google logo NO ADB NO Fastboot - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i was having problems with PA 3.99 so i decided to check out Carbon and i decided to do a "flash to stock + lock" before hand to have the phone completely wiped. but i ran into problems when the toolkit i was using (Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.2) made me use twrp to re wipe the phone i guess i must have deleted a system folder or something.
Now when i turn the phone on it stays on google logo and no toolkit recognizes it saying no adb or fastboot device found
Can Anyone please help me? I really need my phone, i never meant for this to happen.
sorry if this problem has been solved before i looked and couldnt find anything.

hold power + volume button to go to bootloader you can perform all adb commands from there for example "adb reboot recovery" etc.
if your device is on google screen just press and hold power button for 10 sec.

[Q] N7 won't boot anymore

This day just won't end.
I flashed the ParanoidAndroid Rom + PimpMyRom and everything went fine until I decided to reboot. Not the N7 doesn't do anything anymore. It's not stuck at the boot logo, it just doesn't do anything. I've read that you're supposed to keep pressing the Power-Button for 30+ secs, well, I've done that. I've done that in combination with every other button, nothing happens except when I plug it in the PC and hold some buttons down for 45sec, windows tells me that an APX device was not installed properly. That's it.
Is there anything else I can do? I know there's a Reset-Button below the Volume-Buttons but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any idea what else I could do?
Use Wug's toolkit to reflash the stock Rom. Sometimes that happens. Click Here For The Toolkit. Once you download it, click the option "Reflash stock and unroot" or something. Check the box thing that you can't bootup.
so since powering it up doesn't work, according to the toolkit I would have to do a battery pull (not sure what exactly that is) or use ODIN...
any help with this?
does battery pull mean I just pull out the battery cable or do I have to do something while I pull it out?...
Download the Google Nexus 7 Toolkit which is sticked in the Android Development Forum.
Then enter Fastboot Mod, do a re-lock bootloader, then unlock again and flash stock recovery, it should work.

I...I can't. The N7 is not turning on. I can't do anything. That's the problem...
Is it possible that this is a SOD? I was using Paranoid Android Rom + PmR. Is there a way around this?

Please help! Nexus 10 stuck on google X during failed root :(

Hey guys
I tried the one-click root toolkit for mac from android rootz.
Something apparently has gone wrong during the root and I got some error messages and it didn't proceed. Next thing I know the nexus is stuck on google X logo and that's it. It won't load. I tried to recover through the recovery mode a couple of times but now I get the red warning sign when I go into recovery mode. This is only the second day I've had the nexus for. I feel like crying. Please Help
When the red sign appears press the volup down buttons and power button randomly until you get into recovery then factory reset
My 7 and 10 both did that. Just hold power until it turns off, then boot a recovery, wipe everything except system and reboot. It'll come up ok.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
I'm having the same issue. However, the recovery I have installed is the non-functional CWM. So I can't factory reset. (I managed to once before CWM bombed, but it didn't change anything.)
I've tried several options via the toolkit. After fighting with the app all day it's finally wound up just saying it can't find adb? (I have a growing dislike for this app and have since uninstalled it.) Adb is right where it belongs and seems to run fine from cmd.
I also can't seem to flash anything via fastboot for some reason. The device throws "failinvaild id command" and fastboot immediately crashes on my laptop.
I managed to get it unlocked. However, I'm unable to flash anything to straighten it out...
Any help would be great.

Thanks for the info. My situation wasn't quite the same as my CWM was the real issue, which wouldn't run long enough to allow for the factory reset boot-loop solution. Kept at it and managed to get CWM to finish the individual formats/resets one at a time.
With a now bootable device, I'm off to replace the recovery... Thanks again.

Stuck on google logo

Hey guys
i just wiped all my data and tried to reboot my nexus, but now it's been stuck on the google logo for ages...
trying to flash to stock + unroot with nexus toolkit doesn't work, any way to unbrick it?
please help...
do you have fastboot driver installed?
Step 1: Power down your Nexus 4 (hold the power button until it shuts off) before rebooting into fastboot mode. You can do this by holding down the the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.
Step 2: Connect your device to your computer. Open up a terminal or command prompt, and navigate to the folder containing the fastboot program.
Step 3: Type fastboot devices into the command line, and you should then see your device’s ID, which means fastboot is setup correctly.
now go back to Nexus 4 toolkit. Flash back to stock.

not booting after flashing something or modding something is the easiest of all to fix, just reflash the rom(gapps and kernel too if need be), no need to wipe anything. since i test all the trinity kernels before any get released, and pre-kernels, i get many that dont boot my device or bootloop(among some other funky behaviors), reflashing a good kernel always works
I left my phone for a few minutes, and when I picked it up it was bootlooped again, and i had to use fastboot again. What should I do now? Maybe a factory reset would help me. I don't want more unexpected bootloops. :/
swyped from my nexus 4

Try another rom. You might have downloaded corrupted zips. Also, make sure you flash the things you need first. Eg, flash rom and gapps. Don't restore anything if you're using titanium backup. Try restarting the phone, see if it gets into a bootloop. If it doesn't, then try restoring apps from TB. (if you use TB.)
Hi!
I´ve got a big problem. Today i flashed the new PA version, but it seems that the download had some issue. I could install it but after a while, I wanted to reboot the phone and it got stuck at the Google logo. I can only access fastboot mode and recovery.
So the problem is, i made a full wipe, so i have no rom on the sdcard anymore. Also I am now able to enable the debbuging mode. I tried every toolkit i couzld find, but everyone needs debugging mode enabled. windows doesnt recognize the phone ( it says unkown device). So i tried to install the adb drivers, but nothing happens.
i wanted to try to push a rom with adb on the phone but it says no device found. i am such a noob, i hope some can help me.
thx

[Q] Rooted Nexus 10 Stuck in Bootloop, Please Help!

Hello all,
Any help with this would be seriously appreciated. I rooted my Nexus 10 a while back, maybe two years ago. I'm not very proficient with this stuff. Anyhow I decided to do the OTA upgrade to 5.0...I was concerned something would go wrong unless I went to stock first, but I read that the only thing that would happen is root would be removed.
Anyhow, the tablet appears stuck while booting. I see the Google screen first with the unlocked indicator on the bottom. A few seconds later is the Android logo on its back, a red triangle over it with an exclamation point and "no command" written below". It stays that way for a minute or so, tries to reboot and goes back to the no command screen. I can't even power off, when I try to do so it just powers back on by itself and ends up at the no command screen again.
I tried booting into recovery (power, volume up, volume down). My options from here are either Start, Restart Bootloader, Recovery Mode or Power Off. Every option I choose leads to the No Command Screen (except power off, which powers off). No idea what to do from here.
Any help at all would be appreciated. As you can probably tell I don't have much experience with this and just wanted to go back to unrooted stock. If you have advice, please be clear. I can follow directions well enough, just don't have much experience here. Thanks in advance.
Same here, bootloop.
Same thing here. A seemingly short download of Lollipop (even though I have 50Mbs internet). Installation, reboot, and now it loops endlessly. I can get to the bootloader or into Download mode, but that's all. Recovery mode just reboots. I was rooted and had TWRP installed. Other than that, I was running stock 4.4.4.
I've rooted all my devices, and installed various ROM's on several devices. I have the full ADB installation. I have the Nexus Root Toolkit installed. The problem is, the device will not show up under "Devices" on the computer itself. I've installed every USB driver there is (and uninstalled each one after it does not work, so no I do not have several USB drivers installed). Of course nothing shows up using "adb devices" either. Nexus Root Toolkit also cannot find any devices. I've read everything on this subject I can find, and there are no answers out there. Anyone have ANY ideas??
Thanks
Guys, if your device is connected in fastboot (try "fastboot devices") then you can flash roms or recovery (and then flash rom) from there. There are multiple threads with the same problems out there which were fixed. E.g: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-10/help/bricked-t2948546
In my example, I flashed TWRP recovery from fastboot, then installed custom ROM from recovery (official ROM failed to install for some reason). Try this, it might help.

Go to Fastboot mode (pwr+both volumes), Than select recovery after a while an android with Exclamation mark appears which is a stock recovery screen. To access the stock recovery menu press and hold power than press one of the volume keys so the menu will appear. Than do a factory reset and clear caches. You can than reboot and wait for boot animation to finish (it wont take long this time) and you will boot.
If this doesnt work you can flash a stock factory image easily from fastboot again.

Bricked Nexus 4

Hi folks, This is the first time I need help from this excellent forum.
Something weird happened. I was updating apps from Google Play and when Titanium (Pro version), came up my phone crashed. I'm not a total noob, Unlock, Root all of my phones. No I never flashed other ROMs
I've tried everything to unbrick my phone (Nexus 4, 5.1.1., unlocked and rooted, factory ROM).
Now my PC doesn't recognize my phone, it's stuck on boot screen, can't boot into recovery, (error 10), no Fastboot, no download mode, I can't do anything. I've unbricked my phones many times before. Can't install MTP device driver including other drivers. This one has me stumped. Been at this for 4 days.
Can't sideload. Power and other buttons don't work to boot into Recovery, Fastboot etc,
Obviously, can't do a "battery pull" on Nexus 4. Tried the 15-second power button trick to simulate battery pull and other button tricks. Can someone help?
I've searched the web for days, tried all the tricks.
Can someone help?
Cheers!
What buttons are you using for fastboot mode? What when you power it off, then while pressing volume down button, press the power button?

Thanx for replying Nitin

That's the thing. I've tried all the button combos. The problem is my PC doesn't fully recognize my phone so I can't access or push fastboot or ADB. It shows up in device manager but that's it, nothing else. The phone goes only as far as the boot animation and stays like that for days. I've soft bricked my other phones before but was able to repair them.
I get fastboot not found, ADB error 10. I've never seen anything like this. I also get an MTP driver error.
It got bricked by a Playstore app update then when Titanium backup pro came up, that's when it crashed???
I have a Nandroid backup on my pc but it's useless.
Thanx, I hope someone can figure this out. I'm running stock ROM, 5.1.1, unlocked and rooted.
I'm using Nexus Root Toolkit but can't push fastboot or ADB, because, like I said, it doesn't show in my computer???

Try using a friends windows laptop/computer and windows will most likely install drivers on it for you then use nrt to fix your phone from fastboot could also be a bad USB cable or bad USB port though

As far as I have seen, Nexus 4 can not be bricked You can even remove the bottom 2 screws to remove the battery, it is not so difficult (I can say that as I have replaced the battery, power button as well as back of the phone on multiple occasions)
Also try what @[email protected] has suggested.
Nitin
I used platform-tools-v16 and Universal_Naked_Driver_0.72 to flash stock room and unlock bootloader... worked fine. Maybe this helps...
