[REQ] LG G2's Quiet Mode App - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey!
I was wondering if anyone can pull the Quiet Mode apk from the G2? I'd like to see if it would work on my Note 3.

lol

Samsung has its own version of quiet mode called "do not disturbed" which works the same.

Unfortunately, it's not quite as elegant as LG's.

Can you provide the name of the quiet mode apk? I searched but was not able to find it. I have a G2 and if you can provide the name i can search and get it for you

What camera effects do you mean? The different shooting modes? All you have to do from you camera is hit the settings symbol to the side then click on settings symbol again then click on the settings symbol scroll down and turn flash on. Now you can leave it on auto or just leave it on.

Hi there I'm sure you are talking about the various filters like "vintage" ,"washedout" etc....and the answer is no...you can't enable the flash light.....I guess samsung hasn't been able to implement it...or maybe the flash ruins the filter effect...anyway...no flash while using effects....hope this helps you

Happy to help...and yeah hope they fix it
You can take pics with the filters on (though I never noticed much of a difference) and flash. The way I get around the no flash limitation is to manually turn on flash then set filter in the camera app. In your widgets tab, there is a widget marked "Assistive Light", which basically makes your LED flash act as a torch. I do need my torch from time to time so I actually have the widget itself sitting on my homescreen and with a press of a button, I turn on the torch then enter the camera app to do w/e I need to do.

[Q] Increasing Ringtone.

OK before anyone bashes me and says this topic has been covered elsewhere... I COULD NOT FIND A FIX FOR THE LIFE OF ME!
I Absolutely HATE the increasing ringer when i get a call. With my Gakaxy S2 and S3 it was an easy fix with an app from the App Store but it doesnt work on my G2.
Can someone please point me to the right thread to fix this issue (if there is any)
Or
Show me how to fix this annoying "Ascending Ringer"
Please!!!

[Q] LG Quickwindow tweaks/apps

Hello, I was wondering if there are some possible evolutions, of any kind that would be possible in order to do anything more with LG G2's Quickwindow.
While it seems to have produced rather mixed reviews, I like it and get feeling from the sole 3 screens available, that there could be a lot of potential to such feature, if only it were open.
Has anyone tried to add watchfaces, or to display notifications (sms/e-mail), to add features (shuffle/repeat) to the music screen, or even to create custom screens? I'd love it if this feature were to be expanded to something more than just a cool way to answer calls...

yea there's this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622144 and you can use the same method to try and add other things but I don't think there's much more that can be done

That seems to be a decent workaround, but it looks very time-consuming; i'll probably wait for a true opening of the the quickwindow app, if it ever comes
Haha I just accidentally found a function. In quickwindow mode push and hold volume down for 3 seconds (it should open camera)

Here is a post on the LG developers forum( click Mobile Forums>General, First post), that shows the code needed to utilize the quickwindow feature. No SDK ever apparently, but this may be helpful. Also posted today is this which shows that QCircle will get an sdk, so maybe we can use that and change the sizing and shape? I am not a developer, just an interested party, so let em know if this helps or not.

Galaxy S5 Downloaded Camera mode anyone??

Hi, i was thrilled to use the Galaxy S5 as my daily especially when i used the camera quite often to do my work. But when i want to explore more of its camera mode and move to samsung app store it was a huge disappointment when it says "Your device or country is only available for limited service". It really is annoying and defeat the purpose of having "download" option when i can have none
So, my question is, is there anything i can do about it? i tried vpn but no success or i might do it wrong.
It would be better if anyone have the apk for it:
I'm looking for:
Surround shot mode
Sport shot mode
Sound & shot mode
Animated photo mode

Hello. Could you share the camera modes again? The Google drive is empty.
Thanks

Disable camera shutter sound

Hi, I have rooted my phone and used a File explorer (Root Explorer) and proceeded to rename all the camera related audio files located at /system/media/audio/ui to .old
After a reboot I tried to see if the sound is gone but it is still there.
Following some old guide I found here I tried to find system/csc/feature.xml but it does not exist at all (nor the file nor the folder CSC)
I know a work around is to use a bixby routine to enable DND as long as the camera is open but considering that I am rooted I wanted to find a solution (not a work around)
I tried using Magisk Modules but they don't work either.
I am using Android 10

Hi!
Ummm there's a setting for shutter sounds right within camera settings. See attached photo. Unless yours is different because Exynos. Mine is US Snapdragon on Android 10.

Hi! thank you for replying this thread. I thought it would be obvious but the option is not there for me (I have Exynos)! Not everybody has the option to do it and that is why I rooted my phone, tried a few methods (described in my post) but none of them work... damn shutter sound is still there
I have not found a solution either, right now just using some bixby action to put the phone in silent mode when the camera app is open

Really odd nobody found a solution yet
I feel like there should be some ADB command to activate the option in camera settings, but not sure what it would be.

Hi....well, it is not necessary to put the whole device into silent mode because of the camera shutter sound .... Bixby Routine does that part great....

I feel the same! the option it is there (hidden) we just gotta figure out how to make it visible. Was hoping somebody here would have the answer.... I guess the big fishes are busy
You could always just turn the system volume sound to 0
You still have notifications, ringtone, media and bixby sounds.

But nobody knows if the option is hidden or removed by default because of the obvious people trying to take inappropriate or illegal photos without consent. Just like recording phone calls, the option isn't available by system only 3rd party apps. Even though in my State its legal to record without consent any phone call in which i am a party to. Under the surveillance and devices act 1999. Yet Google decided to just kill the option globally.
I'm using an app from GG Play store to mute the camera app. It works just fine
