[Req] Good Back up Apps - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Which apps work fine on note 3 to back up all apps ?
I used Titanium before, but not fine, yesterday impossible to restore any app on the note.
My back up pro, is not perfect too.
And Helium (free) don't restaure the apps, need to download again...
Do you know some other apps ?

Titanium is by far the best. Use this to fix the issue restoring apps with the note 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46241346

Titanium won't work on my play either.
I purchased pro for my hero, and i can install, but the application is just not available in the app draw.
My backup root installs and works fine but i just can't find how to remove the bloatware with it.
I do have root access so what can i use to get rid of what's app, postcard etc ??
Uninstaller for root
Its free on market

Did you also download the free version? Pro download is only the registration key! You need to install both.

Guys. I repeat. Pro version is ONLY LICENSE that activates the free version. You need to install BOTH.

Is there anything out there with the ability to backup that doesn't require rotting?

No because in order to do a full backup you need R/W Access to the /system and /Data folders
See above you don't have to have root to read only to write.
most of the apps you will back up won't need write access check it out on the market or try it yourself

AFAIK You need root to read from /system and /data/data/ but maybe im wrong. i know for a fact that you need root to even read /system. go check with a file explorer that dosent need root
your right with what your say but for backup you won't need access you don't need to back up system apps anyway.

Correct and also you may need to turn usb debuging on if your having problems.
How to install Titanium backup pro on xperia play
1. Download and install Busyox after rooting
2. Download and install titanium backup
3. Download Pro Version key and install
4. Enable usb debugging (may not be neccessary works on my play without)
5. load program and enjoy

If it is set up to do so, once you enter your Google account credentials it will automatically download your apps to the device. Otherwise you can go into the play store under your apps and download them.

Once you logged in with Google account in new tablet every app will be installed automatically from play store.

I recommend backing up using Titanium Backup, copy the backup file to the Nexus 7 and restore. This way, your data is also restored. Useful for games or apps that do not have backup capabilities. I.e. Generate data file.

Thanks. But I'll need to be rooted otherwise I'll have to do 1 app at a time, correct?

If your titanium backup backups are stored on Google Drive you won't have to transfer any files. If there not then do so now

If you're not rooted you can't backup with titanium and the 1 app at a time is only for restoring with the free version of titanium.

well, that also means we have to be rooted when trying to restore to Nexus7 right?
Yes, Titanium Backup requires root to function in any capacity.
Is there anyway for Titanium Backup Pro (or another Play Store app) to create app+data .apk files that an un-rooted Nexus 7 could install?
ADB backup, perhaps...

download DataSync in the play store...you can transfer apps and data over wifi.
I personally just sync with AppBrain app market. That allows you to automate the process of downloading some what. Not as nice as titanium, buy it is an option that won't force you to root day 1.
