[Q] Custom Roms for samsung galaxy s5

Hey all,
I had a quick question. I just rooted my telus Samsung galaxy s5 (w8) and now am searching for custom roms. I do have LTE device so would installing these international roms make my data speed slower say only 3g? Can I still use LTE, 4g,3g and so on? The roms im looking at are alliance, omega, and shohat. I cant seem to find whether my device will still have LTE functions after installing new roms.

I am currently on omega 2.0 on my Telus s5. I was on alliance befor that. Omega rom will wipe your internal SD I think alliance does to but fixes are coming. I have had better luck with the omega rom so far. It seems as though I am getting LTE speeds but the icon is an 'H' or 'H+' so I am actually just looking for a fix for that as we speak. I use the omega kernel and battery life is amazing I am currently at 21 hours on this battery with 8 hours on screen time. Best of luck hippie I could help.

[Q] Could anyone Port the S5 rom to the S4?

Hello developers,
now where every single S5 app is ported to the S4, why does no developer tries to port the whole S5 rom instead of every single app?
The S5 roms for the S4 are pretty good, but a original S5 rom port like for the Note 3 would be even better!
In terms of UI and features there is currently no perfect S5 rom for the S4, every rom has its pros and cons.
But with a full S5 rom port we could have the perfect S5 rom! (And no reason to buy a S5) :laugh:
What about trying this @tamirda @Obi_xD @Albe95 and others?

There are lots of rom that contain almost all apps from S5 , it takes just a little research to find them..

I'm using Hassan Rom v7 for my s4 I9500. It's pretty stable and good! Give it a shot

I know and i tested almost all of this roms.
But its not the same S5 experience as a ported S5 Rom.
And because the Note 3 has a ported S5 Rom i think it would be no problem for a experienced developer to do this.

[Q] Is there hope for my SM-G900H?

Is there any hope on getting a custom rom for my SM-G900H? The device is laggy and overheating a lot, and it's not near as fast as my old phone (iPhone 5). Is there any way on installing CM on this version? Because I think most of the trouble comes from the TouchWiz interface.

There is no CM Rom available for our G900H model.
Now you can use XtreStoLite or MIUI Rom for now..

Well as you describe you have problem try to
1.wipe data and reinstall data from scratch
2.install latest firmwares
3.since you have no problem rooting ... try stock rom with custom kernel... i guest it is the best solution

Thanks man! Now i am using the XtreStoLite and it is way better than the stock TouchWiz. Is there any other ROM besides those two that I can use on the G900H?

Hi All,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 WiFi SM-T330 , does anyone know if it can be flashed yet? I need to get rid of touchwiz so a stock rom would be great, Cynogen would be great, but i can only see reports for the SM-T530.
Does anyone know of progress for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 WiFi SM-T330 ?

Sorry be the first to tell you, but TW is the only ROM available for this device..
There are some ports in the works, but don't hold your breath..

EDIT: I think it's Touchwiz if i'm correct.

It's Touchwiz, we just call it TW for short..
On the note that your looking for a custom rom, there is one in development, but its not yet ready for release as of yet since it has issues with WiFi and sound.. There is much promise, but don't ask for an ETA.. We have no idea when it will be ready, this is our first port on our own..
You can try a slimmed down version of your Stock rom with SuperStocked by MarkusMcNugen who is no longer supporting it, or answering PMs or messages.. Its what I'm using right now.. It's just a slimmed down DeKnoxed and DeSamsunged version that works very well..
It has few bugs worth mentioning.. Give it a try

Does any of the ROMs for Grand Neo Plus works for Baffinlite [GT-I9060]?

I have installed a lot of custom ROMs on various devices but never seen a device like Baffinlite. It doesn't have any stable custom ROM.
I have this device rooted and twrp installed but couldn't find a proper custom ROM to install.
I wonder if any of the ROMs made for Grand Neo Plus works for Grand Neo too.
Of course, if you have a ROM to suggest for this device, I will be glad to hear.

No unfortunately, but the roms for the standard grand neo I9060 should work.
