I am in dire need of help from the hardware experts here. My cell phone was damaged from a power surge and it overheats while draining the battery within minutes. I opened the phone and i found the following part broken but i am not sure what it is and how to replace it. Can anyone identify it?

Hey everyone-
I'm asking for help from anyone who's willing to. I don't care if it's not normal for "devs" to ask everyone else for help, this is a community and we thrive on helping one another (by the way, I'm no dev).
Here's my situation: I have the next SkinnyEvo rom ready to be released. It's awesome. The only thing holding me back is a 'flickering' of system animations.
I've attached pictures so you can see what I'm talking about - notice the horizontal lines in the battery status when it's charging, or the downloading icon when using the market. It also happens when typing, scrolling text (like music), the launcher, and even some widgets when simply sitting on the homescreen.
From what I've been able to find, this 'flickering' issue used to be common back before I was involved with the HD2. It may seem like a small issue, but after a day of glitchy animations, you'll go crazy.
I've tried different kernels (only hastarins) and many other things.. but I would like to open it up to other suggestions so we can get this rom released! If you would like the rom "as is" to troubleshoot on your own, PM me and I will provide a link for you.
Thanks a bunch!

What he said. He was way faster than me
Well thanks to you both then. That did the trick Much appreciated!
i got a ls980 this month. it's beautiful and powerful. i do really like it.
but the GPS is too bad.
hard to search GPS signal and can not navigate.
i have tried to replace the GPS.conf file shared from other guys. but still,the GPS works not very good.
so i tried to fix it by modify the GPS antenna. like this:
step 1:
tape the 2 metal contacts. shield it.

}
step 2:
find a copper wire,tie this metal contact;
close your back over;
tape the other end of the wire along the phone, just like the yellow line in my picture:
step3:
launch GPS test.APK, is it works?
this is my ls980's GPS signal after my DIY:
sorry for my poor English.
hope that it can help you guys.

Thanks, works like a charm. I wan't able to get a lock even outside, but "replacement" antenna works like a charm. I even get a lock on the floor inside the house.
Might try it as i still have issues
Hello, everyone!
I'm not sure if this topic exists but I couldn't find it so here it goes..
I have an old Note 4 without a screen it works as a storage device but only this so I was wondering is it possible for me to make a hardware test on it from my PC to see what exactly I have to buy in terms of parts to be able to reconstruct it again?
I will provide a picture so you guys know what I'm dealing with here.

If its storage works properly, that means motherboard and the CPU is healthy. but just in case you can download odin3 and mount the device to your PC if it is connected or not.
so it is still a usable device just in case i recommend you to do that test
for thoose who have drain battery issues this can be the problem

I know this is a little off topic... But seeing a post for the OP8Pro with a 2022 date on it is refreshing! Been searching for days for information on how to flash a ROM/TWRP and/or ROOT and most posts are from 2020. I was beginning to think the device/projects were abandoned!
While on the subject, if anyone has recently and successfully accomplished any of the things I mentioned, would you please share? I have over a 100 tabs open right now from all the bricking I've had to come out of over the last 5 days!
Thanks!
Hi,
Currently got a PX6 installed and having all kinds of issues although some are now resolved but this is the last big one.
Both the stock ROM and Hal9k (on my unit) have an issue whereby if I use Auto Sleep, I run a high risk that when I resume from a sleep...... the device will fall into this weird Zombie state. WiFi won't work, a huge number of the apps will just crash loop and only a reset fixes the issue. I'm currently experimenting with MacroDroid to try and mask the issues to no avail.
Here's a photo after it's fallen into this bad state. As you can see, most of the apps have lost their icon and even name, just being referenced by package only. I've not had chance to hook ADB in. There's no way I'm the only person to experience this and I hold out hope that it's fixable.

Absolutely no idea. Can't make head or tails of it.
I thought it was just me!
I think he's a bot.
I uploaded a video. Surely I'm not the only person to experience this?
