GE S4 Rotation Lock?

Anyone know why the rotation lock widget on the notification center is?
I have it on my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7?

When I had my HTC Desire, my lockscreen looked like this

5x lockscreen shortcuts like the S4 had?

I used to like the five app shortcuts you could assign at the bottom of the S4 lockscreen.
This option is no longer available on the S5.
Any suggestions?
