I was playing the system ogg files with VLC when this image popped up. Why in the world would this image be in the file?
There are also some other random images in the other ogg files.
 Seems like an Easter-egg to me.

I can't seem to play any .mp4 video file on my D2 without receiving the "Sorry, this video cannot be played" error. I did not actually attempt to play .mp4 files prior to flashing the 2.3.20 sbf, but I came across the following post on MyDroidWorld which would imply that the sbf file itself is the root of the problem:
I flashed to the 2.3.20 SBF and mostly it seems ok.
However mp4 video support seems to be broken now.
These files that were in /system/lib in 2.2.20 are no longer present in 2.3.20
libOMX.TI.720P.Decoder.so
libOMX.TI.720P.Encoder.so
libOMX.TI.mp4.splt.Encoder.so
Trying to open a 720P mp4 file (such as youtube hd download) logs:
D/TIOMX_CORE( 1109): Found component OMX.TI.720P.Decoder with refCount 0
E/TIOMX_CORE( 1109): dlopen libOMX.TI.720P.Decoder.so failed because Cannot load library: load_library[1083]: Library 'libOMX.TI.720P.Decoder.so' not found
Can anyone else confirm this issue or offer a fix?
I copied the .so files above from 2.2.20 to /system/lib/ in 2.3.20 but still failed with:
D/720p_Video_Decoder( 2338): Created/initialized arm split decoder
D/720p_Video_Decoder( 2338): VIDDEC_InitDSPDec():1061 LCML_InitMMCodec Failed!...80001009

Now that I check, I am also missing those three files in the /system/lib directory. Could anyone who also flashed the 2.3.20 sbf do my a favor and check this directory on their own phones to verify the issue? Also, does anyone know of a possible solution to the problem, such as a means to obtain the missing files? I have tried searching around for a 2.2.20 system dump to no avail.
Thanks.
I have all of those files, and I have SBFed multiple times.
I am also missing those files after the latest flash. Sigh.
Hello,
I am using utorrent pro on my Galaxy note 4 for mostly downloading movies. Thing is my android system wasn't showing me downloaded video files in any video players. So after some investigation i found .nomedia files in all the downloaded folders. I don't know how and why these .nomedia files are being created themselves in every downloaded folder?
Is anyone else facing this problem?
I would really appreciate your help.
My D800 took a slow boat to somewhere and is gone over the horizon. However, before it left, it did a image dump and left me some files that have the B01 File, B02 File etc, and MDT File extensions, like adsp.b01 and cmmlib.b01 with an associated cmnlib.mdt. There are about 50 or so files.
Do not know what is in them but some are pretty large, several gigs. Any way to open these files and determine what they are and if they are recoverable?
TIA
Hey dudes,
I have startetd to unpack the System image of the Pixel to Port it for Nexus. But the rom of the Pixel is completely different from the normal Roms. (I have downloaded the latest from Googel Dev)
In normal system images are a lot of folders like App, bin, etc, fonts... But in the Pixel's System Image are only four folders and one image. The folders are App, lost+found, preloads and priv-app. The image is "system-other-odex-marker".
In the app folder are a lot of folders witch you have expercted. But if you open them are there only ".odex" and no apk's. Lost+found is empty, preloads has some cool images and a retail demo apk and in the priv-app the same as in the app folder. The image has 0KB and none ending.
My question: What is this for a system? How can I fix my Problem? It makes me simply impossible to port this rom! :crying:
Thanks
Chris
Shouldn't there be 2 partitions for everything given the new way it updates? Meaning there should be 2 system.img, 2 boot.img, etc.a maybe you overlooked the partition that is currently containing the files you are looking for.
Edit: nevermind. Only possible duplicate I see is system.img and system_other.img. Did you look inside both?
I tried to make my own boot animation for my YT9216CJ-device which didn't work. Here's the steps I tried:
1. I downloaded a premade animation from here and previewed it on my HU w/o any issues (it has a dedicated function for preview and set the animation from a menu).
2. I extracted the downloaded zip and guessed from comparing the file sizes (zip and target-folder), the new zip needs no compression.
3. With this knowledge I made my animation from scratch, using Photoshop (made one file with layers for one animation-loop, inserted the animation in each background and exported all layers to single jpg-files.
In the source-animation the file-extension is jpg and there are two folders (part0; part1) and I simply copied the desc.txt over to my animation-folder, used the exact same picture size (matching the resolution of my HU) and same filename-structure (000000001.jpg) for my animation and tried packing up with WinRAR (compress as zip with no compression (just save)). When I try to preview the freshly-made animation on the radio, the "app" just crashes into settings-menu, so I don't want to flash it. All files ranging around similar filesizes, even the resolution is similar. Oddly enough the animation is correctly decompressed in the preview-folder.
