Dont root it yet coz after rooting u can unroot but u cannot reset something knows as KNOX or something like that at the moment.Just wait.

What is the best method to root the s4 without tripping knox or anything else I still have a bit of warranty left so that's why I'm asking tha ks for reading and replying in advance

If you root with Towel Root by Geohot http://towelroot.com/ and install the Xposed apk and some modules KNOX should not be tripped. KNOX will only be tripped if you root with CF Auto Root, flash a custom recovery or a custom kernel.
And what do you mean whit some modules?
