Dont root it yet coz after rooting u can unroot but u cannot reset something knows as KNOX or something like that at the moment.Just wait.

If you root with Towel Root by Geohot http://towelroot.com/ and install the Xposed apk and some modules KNOX should not be tripped. KNOX will only be tripped if you root with CF Auto Root, flash a custom recovery or a custom kernel.
And what do you mean whit some modules?

Xposed offers the modified framwork and the modules offer extended mods like these http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/index-xposed-modules-collection-post-t2327541.
