Hi!
After flashing a custom Rom (Omega 2.2), my device entered a strange situation: even with the security lock activated, I am not able to flash trough Odin.
To fix it, I am trying to update the firmware trough Kies, but it keep saying that my SN number can´t be verified. Any suggestion?
Thank you very much!
Regards!

Have you got reactivation lock on if so turn it off
I just posted a question regarding that. For some strange reason, even unchecked, the lock remains on...
Thanks!

So, my S4 wont read my simcard anymore, and I have to send it back.
What do I need to do to make sure that Samsung accepts and replaces my device.
It's Rooted, has a custom recovery and ROM.
Thanks.
EDIT: Its a Canadian S4.
Remove flash back via Odin find stock factory image for YOUR DEVICE (I337m) I take it you didn't update it so find the Odin files that correspond with the fw that your phone officially came with

So I went back to the Official Samsung firmware, and used triangle away. Now when I boot into download, both say official. However, when I check device status, it still says custom.
I have removed Root and have a custom recovery installed. Found a Sprint S4 recovery, but I can't find the Canadian. Will the sprint one work?
Only other method I could think of is using Kies (if you don't have it downloaded it) to restore it completely.

See, I cannot go back to stock and do the triangle away method as SIM card is required to activate the phone, which currently won't read a simcard. Can I not just flash the recovery? Or is there a way to bypass simcard activation? Thanks

Once you have rooted your phone, you have to delete a file in system, wich overwrites the custom recovery with the original. But i don't remember wich file it is. I think Google know it.:cyclops:
EDIT: I found it: you need a root Explorer. Go to system/etc and delete "install-recovery.sh"
After that, flash a custom recovery. Now it should work.
What also helps sometimes is to uncheck "auto-reboot" in Odin.
When the flashing is finished, you just hold the power button for 10 sec (until it reboots).

I'm on stock touchwiz, tried to root it using auto root, I enabled usb debugging, got into download mode, flashed using odin but failed. When I rebooted it showed firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use kies and use recovery method. Please help guys.

Change the USB Port, make sure you dont connect to USB 3.0, change the cable

Anytime bro
I've encounter this problem once before and this is what i did to get flash success through odin.
close all running program on your pc.. start odin and plug in your usb cable.. please do not use your pc while flashing stock rom on your phone because this is why it kept falling..flashing stock rom on galaxy s4 took pretty long time since the file is big.. just wait until the process is finish..
note : you can still use download mode when you get this message ( firmware upgrade encountered an issue )
p/s : i didn't see that it already has been solved.. i'm very tired when writing this so i think i might just post it here so other member can get clue when they encounter this problem
it took time when writing this, cuz my english is bad and i don't want to just delete it
Hi! So I'm rooted and I want to update my phone but when I try to do it, it says "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available." So I reset my flash counter using Triangle Away and now it says 'official' and 'O' but still that modified blah blah is still appearing. How do you solve this?

You will have to flash the firmware manually thorugh ODIN and root it again :highfive:.

AFAIK Manually flashing the ROM is the only way. If you want OTA updates, do not root your phone.

Use wanam xposed to make the status to official in the phone.
See if that works. IMHO it wont still..
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
I kind of tried that already with Triangle Away but it didn't work. It said that phone runs with official firmware but the warning still appears.

Okay, I've messed up real bad. I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by using this method.
I followed it through, Used the correct download (SM-N910F (International, Qualcomm)) andeverything.
Odin reboots my device, but all it says is
RECOVERY BOOTING...
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit : Recovery

What am I supposed to do? I've tried to pull the battery out, reflashing it, manually put it in recovery mode and everything.
Still, I Get the annoying bootloop.
I know there is ways of fixing this without wiping it.
Thanks - Mackedack
EDIT: I don't actually care about not wiping it now. (If I have to wipe it, I will)
