I just got mine today it is a great phone but then I noticed when I'm on a white screen I see a dark blotch or blur in the center of the screen..i call it a fish eye about the size of a pencil eraser.
Has anyone else seen this ? I'm returning it as soon as my replacement comes hope this isn't a common issue with the nexus and don't want to go through 10 returns before I get a good one.

Don't know if you'll be able to see it from this screen shot.
When you look at it close it looks just like a dimple in the screen behind the glass.

You probably have warped glass from the installation of the panel to the digitizer. One of mine had a bright yellow glue ring about 60-70% down the screen in the middle. Try angling the screen in different lights and see if you notice any wavering... Like a very faint ding on a car. I think whatever machine presses the screens down does it too hard.

You need to post a real pic. Screenshots won't show a physical defect.

Yes its terrible. I have a new one on the way. Hope its good.
Coming from an S3.
Why are things like the phone dialer and texting white? It doesnt look good! The s3 had a very elegant dark blue theme.
Idk how I feel about this phone.

Same here, but I don't think this is by design. If you look at the top bars you'll notice that the gradient is completely missing. Same in the system settings menu. Something went wrong.

If you think that Samsung just missed this then you'll be sadly disappointed when there's no update to change it. It was done by design. I actually like the change too.

yea its not bad... looks more elegant IMO
Dialer seems unfinished to me as well.
I guess I could get used to that but the default contact image is effing horrible

Yep, not wild about it myself. Looking forward to a ROM to Theme the dark colors back. I'm confused since dark colors improve the battery life.
One piece of the theme that I really like is the way the status bar has a wood grain texture when pulled down to view notifications. It ties the phone to its retail packaging in a subtle way.

What? Mine is just black.
And yes I am surprised as well because black colors are better for us.
Things like the dialer just look cheap in my opinion. Looking at the top tabs that are blue and a white dialer? What the heck.
And yes the default contact images are a joke.

Mine is black, too, but if you look closely it has wood grains running through it. It looks like wood that had been stained black.

Not the tray itself, just the status bar as it moves down the screen; the background of the area where it has the carrier name and a blue bar.

Odd. Still looks black to me. Oh well it doesn't really matter but thanks.
Hey, I heard somewhere that the black version was more of a soft touch (I'm picturing the Nexus 7 2013 feel) whereas the white is just textured hard plastic (which I can confirm after playing with the demo in store).
Can someone with the black confirm the feel of the battery cover? Soft or just textured hard plastic?

Nope. It's not the same.
I've touched both versions in store. White has more plastic touch while black is more soft. It's not soft-touch as usual. Just more hmm.. greasy? But feeling is much better than white.

I'm not sure if we're still talking about the note 3 ...... If we are, the black one has some sort of soft touch coating. It doesn't feel like the nexus 7, but definitely doesn't feel like the slimy plastic that Samsung usually puts out. The black one actually feels and looks like a premium device IMO.
I can confirm this to ..
I have the white one. the black back has a kind of a rubbery feeling to it.
I wanted to change to the black but I like the nice texture in the front bezel of the white. and white stands out between everyones black device ( no offence to black note owners )
Hi All!
I think I have a problem with a display on my LG G2 D802. I have noticed, that under angles I can see, what I think it is, a matrix of the display. See attached files.
It is pretty vissible, even on the photos. On the day light it is seen even when the display is on, not only with the display shut down.
Does anybody see the same thing?
I have never seen this on my previous phones.
Thanks in advance for replies!
Do you use a screen protector?
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's just the IPS matrix (if you're referring to the grid on the screen visible at certain angles when the screen is off).

We all see it though I can't see it while the screen is on except when the brightness is superlow and it's really dark in the room.
Annoying? Yes. Normal? Yes

I just got a 7" tab4 today and when I got home, I noticed that when the screen is black(not turned off but displaying black) there is a bit of extra light on the bottom right corner. It's not that noticable but it's there. It doesn't bother me but anyone else got this ? Do you think I should replace it ? Problem is I already applied a screen protector so that would cost me 20$...
It's just a little light bleed. Most lcd screens have it to some degree.
