Add [VZW] Volume Slider? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know everyone seems to want to remove the volume slider in the notifications panel, but is it possible to add this back into the VZW variant which doesn't have it by default? I use my phone in a car holder that doesn't let me access the rear buttons very easily, and it's a pain to have to hit the volume button once when playing media to make the slider show up. I'm usually all for uncluttering the notification panel, but I really want that slider back.
Or maybe a way to turn off the automatic volume lowering when connecting headphones could work too. Just need my music to be blastin' out my car.

whats the slider actually do?

dose the slider just adjust the volume or mute as well.
my slider only change the device sound but can not mute the system.
is this normal?
cheers
Well, thats normal dude.
However, sliding it down after having it in vibrate mode takes it to off and back again to vibrate if you slide it up!

Hello,
I've broken the volume slider :/ anyone interested in selling one?
Also I would love to know if it is possible to silence incoming call - it was done by sliding volume DOWN but with broken slider I can't silence incoming call anymore :/
Any ideas?

At the top of the Today screen, you will see an icon for the speaker. If you tap that icon, the screen volume control will pop-up. You can then adjust the volume or switch the phone to vibrate.

Couple of issues - HTC Touch Diamond2

I have a couple of issues that needs a help from this group.
1. I have selected to have both Vibrate abd Ring and the vibration is too strong and I would like to make the vibration quiter. Any registry setting for this?
2. When I am not using the phone and sometimes when I switched off the power button after a few seconds a blank light is glowing.
3. Is it possible to reduce the voulme by single bar instead of 3 bars at a time. It's causing a problem in listening to music. songs having too low or too high.really pathetic.. I have installed many voulme related cab files which is causing some other issues.. any good one for HTC touch diamond2?
4. Any good mp3 music player that can also be controlled through remote controller. I am having RC 100 HTC remoted controller to change the song/reduce the volume. Having SP2 player..good one but not able to control it thru' remote.
Is it possible to go to next/previous song by tilting like in sony ericsson.
5. Whenever I am opening some application, it's going to sleep/lock immediately. I don't want it to go to sleep automatically. I want to manually close. Though I have Diamond tweak with Fast Sleep is disabled.

PLease help on the below items.
Atleast for the below one.
I don't want HTC to go sleep immediately. For example, I am refering the notes in MS word in HTC, I need it to open until I close that application. But it going to sleep mode after a few seconds which causing a nonsense. I nees to switch on the phone again, enter the password and select the running pgm again.

turning Vibration on when in silent mode?

right now it seems that whenever i put the phone into silent mode from the unlock screen the only notification i get is the blinky ball. nothing else. i have to go into the settings to turn on vibration notifications every single time.
is there anyway to make it so i can have the vibrations on and ONLY turn the ringer/sound notifications on and off with the slider on the unlock screen?
i know i can just lower the volume with the rocker to the vibrate middle ground, but being able to handle it from the unlock screen would be nice.
No.........

With the slider only: no. However, you can slide to mute, unlock and hit the volume + rocker up once. Hit it again to restore the original ringtone volume.
...At least that way you won't have to go digging into the settings.

Moto G6 Plus Volume Button Switch.

I have a Moto G6 Plus Dual Sim and would like to know if I can adjust the Call/Notification Volume on my phone with the button on the side of the phone. In the information supplied this button is set by Default to Media and what I want to do is change the Media for the Call/Notification Volume so I don't have to go into the settings and adjust the sliders. This is a pain every time I wish to alter the Volume of my Notifications as on my old Moto G5 I was able to control the Volume from the side button.Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks Sethnettles.
Yes, the pie update has changed the volume button function. There is a sound on/off/vibrate button on top when using the volume rocker but that's it... I haven't found a way to change it. I really cannot understand why such basic functionality that has "always" been available in Android has been taken out!

Good Morning, Many thanks for your reply and now I have got this sorted can you help me with another problem??I used to receive an Audible and Vibration alert for both my Call/Notifications eg:-E-Mail etc but now I only get an Audible Ringtone for both.I have been into settings and the Vibration is Turned ON I have also been into the Moto Help and Hardware Test and tested the Vibration which works fine is there any other settings or something else that I should turn on which I possibly have either mistakenly turned off or missed altogether???I have tried all the Icons when the Volume Button is pressed and I can turn OFF and ON both the Audible and Vibrate and both are OK as is the Call/Notification Volume so all I require is for Both Audible and Vibrate to work when I receive either a Call or E-Mail??Hope you can help,Regards,Sethnettles.
I believe that it has to be set for each application individually, in the settings menu of the application.

Good Morning and MANY THANKS for your prompt reply.I have now gone into Apps-Notifications-Advanced and found the area where I can turn the Vibrate on so I have done that and I'm pleased to advise you that I now have both working simultaneously. What caused the problem is that about 500 mtrs from my house there are 2 high rise blocks ready for demolition with a lot of Cellular Antenna's on top.As the Vodafone Network keeps saying NETWORK ANOMILIY I kept loosing the Network and after contacting Vodafone they said the system was OK and the problem was with my Apps.So I uninstalled and reinstalled my Apps that were playing up and I completely missed to turn on the Vibrate in Notifications but you have saved the day.As for Vodafone they have now admitted that there is an ongoing intermittent fault on the network in my area (I suspect it's something to do with this demolition job as none of the Antenna have been removed as yet.) Once again MANY MANY THANKS for all your help.Best Wishes to All,Sethnettles.
