Or back up what you need from internal and wipe It

Your nandroid backups are probable on the internal sdcard instead of the external sdcard. Move them over to external and you should regain your space.

sd-ext???

I play a little with root explorer, and find /sd-ext/ folder in root of KF. What is that? Can I use that storage? My sd card is 5 gb, is sd-ext the rest of 3 GB? I do a full wipe, including sd card in TWRP, so did I mess something? I'mrunning CM7
No one? Please...
sdcard is usually the internal sdcard partition
sd-ext is the external (plugin) sdcard
the kf don't have a external sdcard slot
the only thing i can imagine is that something created a hardlink to the sd-ext
but it will lead to nowhere ...
about the memsize:
the kf has 8gb but there are a lot of other partitions using space
so will not get more than the 5gb with factory partitioning
allthrough there is a thread here for repartitioning i would not recommend to do so
cause the risk of bricking it is quite high if you don't know exactly what you are doing

[Q] Motorola Atrix MB860 - Format Issue

I have Motorola Atrix MB860, Android Version 2.3.4 and BuildNo. 4.5.2A-74_OLE-31
My Problem is there are some folders and files are on Internal storage which are not geting deleted, if i do hard reset and reboot my phone i can have all those folders and files are back, even i have attached my phone with Mini Partition Tool and format with 0 level but still files and folder same on internal memory even if i add any Memory card it won't mount and can not acessable from any file manager, even if i copied to internal memory it copied successfully but again when i check with file manager or reconnet to PC and check my copied files are not there on internal memory
i want to format my phone with all data loss on my internal memory and install stock or other CWM based ROM
please help me out i am in big critical condition.
What files/folders are those exactly that won't get deleted?
have you tried to format from android?
And depend of which folders, there are some special folders that the system will recreate after delete..

there 5 to 6 folders
name like
12345
and some indian people name and songs in it.
Okay, well that is really weird. Is that on internal storage or on the external SD card? Try formating both to be sure, preferrably in the phone itself.

[Q] Wipe Internal Storage and External Storage

Hello Peeps,
I have a weird issue that just happened.
I flashed a ROM last night, I was running CleanRom and I flashed SmoothRom.
After I flashed, all my SD Card files were moved to Data\Media folder in the internal storage of my nexus.
I cut the files and placed them back into the SD Card external storage folder.
I rebooted and everything was fine.
I then rebooted into recovery and flashed SmoothRom again.
The Rom loaded and everything was fine.
I pulled up File Expert and all my SD card files were moved again to the Data\Media folder.
I opened Root Browser and tried to move all the files back to my SD card and they only copied about half of them.
Then I got a message saying my storage was full.
I checked and the system shows I have used all of my 16GB of storage.
I am not able to delete anything to free up space.
What will happen if I wipe external storage in TWRP?
What will happen if I wipe internal storage in TWRP?
Will I lose root?
Will I brick my device?
Please assist.
Thank you ,
You don't have external storage. All you have is the memory in the N7. You are duplicating files when you copy from data/media to sdcard. They share the same memory. You simply have multiple copies of the same files in different places on your internal memory.

Thank you for responding.
I realize that now, that is what caused me to eat up all my memory.
The memory was so full I could not do anything, could not delete or anything.
I have since fixed it.
Thank you again for responding.

Help. No internal sd

My milestone 2 a953 gets the insufficient memory error even if storage shows 6.5 gb free. Using xplore app, I see there is nothing in internal sd I can not even copy files to it. I suspect I must have messed up the partitions somehow. Everything works except that I can not access or use the internal sd. I can only install up to 2gb of files before I get out of memory. Is there a way to reflash the partitions? Tia.
reflash your rom or system nand. that will rebuild the partition table. did you try to use your sd in a pc to check if it works? did you format your sd to check if thats the problem? did you try to mount your sd in your recovery, to check if that will work?

thanks for your reply. yes my external sd card works in all the suggestions you mentioned. my problem is with my internal sd. it does not show up in my explorer programs. i can only install apps up to 2 gb before it says i got insufficient memory. i could not even download anything to the internal sd. i can only use the external sd for it. when i remove my external sd card, the camera does not save pics to internal sd it says i need to put in an external sd card to take photos. all custom roms i flashed give me the same result. is there a specific sbf file i need to flash that will rebuild the partition table?

When you say "internal sd", do you mean the /data partition? Because the MS2 can't use the internal memory for user data like a regular (or an internal, for this matter) sd card.
In this case, it seems to me like a rom issue. Since the moto defy has only 2gb on it's /data partition, and most of the milestone 2's development derives from the defy, it would make sense. Which rom are you in currently?

Yes I mean the /data partition. I am currently using aokp. Does that mean I am unable to use the 6.5gb free space of my internal memory.

I would ask in the rom thread, maybe the dev can help you out.
Thank you.

[Q] Titanium backup problem SD card A500 rooted

I am having issues of slowness on my Acer A500 and I wanted to back it up and do a factory restore. I read the forums and learned Titanium is a preferred backup app. I rooted my tablet and that seemed to work ok. I D/L Titanium ok but when I try to do a backup it says insufficient memory. I then learned that it is trying to backup to internal memory and not the SD card, which has plenty of space. If I try to backup a single app it places it in internal memory.
If I look at Titanium overrview it shows /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup as the backup directory. At the bottom it shows Ext. SD card: 67.0 GB (57.0 GB free).
When I go to Acer settings/ apps / Titanium it shows SD card 0.00B.
If I look at settings / storage/ it shows SD card 53.17 GB available.
So I am stuck, unable to backup and procede with with my planned reset. Any suggestions?
Change storage location in TB>menu> preferences>backup folder to ext sd

Already set to the SD card. I then deleted the TitaniumBacckup folder in internal memory and when I go to Backup folder location I get a red error message "The current backup location ("/mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup") cannot be accessed.
It has a DETECT! /mnt/sdcard radio box to click on but it only finds internal folders. I clicked on detect the whole device but it does not detect the TitaniumBackup folder on the ext sd card.
I also tried using a 16gb sd card from my mp3 player and that did not work either.
Create the backup folder with yr chosen file explorer. Then open tb and choose search for backup folder.
