I want to buy the Note 10.1 but Amazon UK doesn't have it listed. The German Amazon does however and luckily my dad is in Germany so shipping wouldn't be a problem, but I have a couple of questions...
1. Would the warranty still be valid if brought back to the UK?
2. Would there be any preinstalled German apps that otherwise wouldn't be there on the UK version?
I would usually wait but I'm going away soon so this is my only chance to get it

Hello,
In my country (Serbia) this phone will show up for maybe 2-3 months or later. I can't order online because importing is too complicated (radio frequency etc..blah blah..) so I would like to buy this phone somewhere in Hungary or Austria. I will go on trip for few days from 3 july. Can anyone tell me is there any store in Austria (can't read germany) like vodaphone shop or something to buy this phone. I will visit Austria and Hungary. If there any place please let me know.
I made contact to this website
http://www.zippzarmobile.hu/
and they told me for 20 days they will have it but I need before that because I will be on trip before that.
Why is importing difficult? Amazon.de has it already in stock, sells it for 484,97€ (the 8gb version) and it uses the same frequencies as everywhere else in Europe. They charge 6€ for shipping to non-EU european countries, which includes Serbia. If you have difficulties navigating the amazon.de page, use www .amazon.co.uk as a guide, they look the same.
To look for stores in Vienna, see: geizhals.at/a535151. html. currently, nobody has it in stock yet. I bought it last week at an A1 outlet, but they only have branded versions.
In Hungary, i have also seen some ads, like www .220volt.hu/Samsung+GT-i9000+Galaxy+S+8GB , but it is expensive, almost 100€ more than in Germany or Austria. This was the same with the HTC HD2 back in 2009. It was available in Budapest some weeks before in Vienna, I even went by the store, but it was way too expensive to not wait for one or two weeks longer.
So I would recommend to use amazon.de. They have very good customer service if the device should turn out to be faulty and ship very fast. If mail order is really not possible, check out the geizhals.at/ a535151.html page for Austrian shops: if any of them turns green, it means, that they have it in stock.
importing is very difficult because they are asking me for some document from radio regulatory agency + for new products you need to make some test in some special facility + will cost me like 400euros....for 2 phones.
Anyway I ordering online a lot ...but when you order something with radio frequency that is ....really hard.
I will consider this Hungary. Thank you!!!
I bought it with 381GBP at HandTec UK
I would say it depends on when you will be in Austria. At the moment the phone is just launching, so most stores handle their pre-orders first. Here in Germany more and more shops claim it "in stock" so things seem to relax. But for now I can't find a shop in Austria. Are you in Austria before or after July, 3rd?
If you bought your phone from amazon.de web site, was it intended for german market or is amazon re selling units for other world market? There was an issue with guys purchasing Samsung Galaxy 2 from amazon.com where they find out that their unit was meant for Chilean or Vietnamese market. I am going to purchase from amazon.de and want it to be with german firmware version.
Can you please check? Thank you

Initially on bootup it is in German. At the wizard press the bottom right button. Select English. Then that's it its an English OS.
Some issues with the market. Its suggestion German ones to me like amazon app and google translate. Fix will be easy.
The instructions are EU and first language is English. Also note it comes with an EU plug.
Also some of the pre-defined browser shortcuts are for .de websites - notably Samsung. Again no problem.
A similar "localisation" occurs wherever you buy it from.
Hi,
perhaps one of you could help me.
If any one got TF810 from a UK shop - could you send me serial no of the device?
I would like to check with Asus Poland what sort of warranty is given to such device.
TF810 sold in Poland (more expensive) are covered with 2 yr of warranty - Amazon says product is covered with 1 yr...
Asus Poland is willing to check if UK product in Poland would have 1 yr or 2 years or anything but they need serial no first and that one I can not get without buying device .
Secondly - did your UK purchased or Amazon UK purchased TF810 came with leather case for tablet?
Amazon says it is not included in the package....
UK warranty is one year.
Only PC World has stock.
Yes you do get a leather like case and keyboard. Price is UKP699.99. Good value.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Thanks.
I already bought one in Poland.
Almost the same price but warranty is 2 years - funny as it is all EU and we got much better deal.
If bought from Hong Kong rather direct from China I assume it will have an English language option?
Also will it get any kind of update support I assume not outside the region?
Phones bought from OPPO directly, http://oppostyle.com or their(!) verified Amazon store, have an international warranty and have the international firmware and hardware (T-mobile bands are added).
I suggest buying directly from OPPO just to be sure you have warranty (and it's usually cheaper!).
bought mine from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...iveASIN=B00BA8ZWPO&linkCode=as2&tag=m0494a-20
everything comes in English with the International version, even the paper work inside the box
and yes it gets constant OTA updates from Oppo. but this last update releasded yesterday was not OTA

Chinese stock rom has English language option too.
also you can install CM10.1
Hi all just a question I'm from UK and pre ordered the s8 from vodafone but my question is.
If I've pre ordered the phone and get it 8 days early before they launch it in the shop do i get the phone from vodafone with there stuff on there or do they take so many pre orders first then order them from samsung to deliver straight to customers?
Not sure how this works
from previous experience . I have always found vodaphone phones always come with there own custom firmware not the generic firmware direct from Samsung. so will have vodafones own apps etc and proberly wont get updates as fast because when Samsung delivery a new firmware Vodafone will then customize it with there own things before releasing
Oh well looks like I be flashing it with Odin when I get the chance.
Thx anyway
