Hello,
I just found out about this rom! I read as much as I could but I was wondering will this be officially supported on the HTC (Att or GPE)? Just looking for something alternative to CM, something with different features but still fully AOSP. I like the statement this team is trying to make and I feel like this will head in the right direction. Thanks to every one involved in making this possible. Im looking fwd to the future of OMNI rom!

I too am interested in a HTC One port.

How about the Sprint version of HTC One, supported?
I was watching the IRC yesterday and someone was able to get the m7ul to boot omnirom, fingers crossed!

Very good news! As for the guy asking about sprint, keep your fingers crossed too because the CDMA (sprint/verizon) one's dont get much love lol.
I have noticed that lack of love for the CDMA variants of the One. It is somewhat frustrating.
I don't understand why ROMs can't be "compiled" with all the radio packages, then a routing that checks the model # and install the correct radio firmware.
Come on Omnirom for HTC One
Can't wait!
I'm pretty excited. Using PacMan Rom with TeaMseven AOSP kernel. It's nice, but the Nightlies can be buggy. I like the philosophy of this group. I'll lurk around here in the shadows and watch. Thanks Team OmniROM!
Looks good guys. We fixed the radio issue. So only thing left is BT. So look forward of integrating this device to our repos so that we can do a build to share for further testing.
PS: this is for m7ul ONLY at the moment
we need a maintainer for the other "variants" - any volunteers?

The problem is that the CDMA radios have to be updated for each android version and they can only be grabbed from sprint/vzw official releases. Hence no 4.2.2 roms though 4.3 should be close

Fully Stable ICSI would just like to let you guys know (If you havent been in General Lately.) that some devs at Androidcentral are working on an ICS rom built from SDK
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...127806-read-only-memory-ics-sdk-port-wip.html
Flash this afterwards so you get Root, Proper fonts and lockscreen fixes.
Also, some goodies:
http://tylerwatt12.com/XDA/ics/gallery/
Build 1A below, current build is build 2B see forum for download link
New version
What works:
WiFi
SD Card
Touchscreen
Hardware Acceleration(most)
Camera (After first FC)
Home, search and back buttons (not menu button)
Headphone and ext spk. sound
3G Text, MMS
What doesn't:
(Some ICS lib's had to be replace with GB lib's. So it's not exactly a clone of the SDK build (still great work though)
NFC no worky
I'm being told Calls dont work
Tap to share
some ICS features are left out.
Ill explain things a bit better here:
With any android release (Not including Honeycomb) the software release goes as follows:
Android develops the Android Version
A PR is made on the subject usually including a new device that will run the software
Between the announcement and release of the phone the SDK is released for that new version of Android
A Dev takes apart the SDK version of the rom and starts porting things over.
SDK builds don't usually work as an every-day phone, just something to play around with.
Sometime after the phone is released Source Code for the Android Version is released in which dev's will be able to make awesome ROM's that work well
(Fastest source release to rom build is about 1 hour) So you can expect that after Source is released Dev's will get a working ROM within hours.
... Weeks/Months Later..
Samsung releases ROM's to Carriers for OTA Updates.
Correct me if i'm wrong in any part here guys

Hey, just wanted to clarify, the ROM is not built from source but ported from the released 4.0 SDK.
I read earlier that its a sdk port and not source code. Is there a quick explanation regarding the difference between the two.

Source code is just that, source. The actual source used to compile android. The android SDK is a tool released for emulators allowing you to emulate the os on your computer, for example. These ports are ported from that emulator while roms you see around here are built from source for your device.

As cool as these ports are, they'll never have full use out of them being a SDK. I wish the launch of IC was sooner as far as updating. Waiting until the 10th for the Galaxy Nexus to come out was a little bit of a wait. A week or two after it was announced would have been reasonable.

and for this first (and soon to be old) release, it still thinks its working as an emulator on a computer. thats why 2 fingers is clicking and one finger is just tracking kinda like a mouse.
and keep it to the NS4g tho for convo, other threads are popping up like crzy for phones.

Hey guys, i live over in the Mytouch 4g forums, and i am part of Team Inferno. I am a Rom/Kernel/Modding dev on Team Inferno and we want to branch out and support other devices. I made a sense 4.0 mod that will increase battery life an performance greatly, it can be used on any Sense 4.0 running HTC devices but i need testers to...test it haha. My mod adds governors without modifying the kernel.
Positions that i am looking for
Head Tester- Will get get the results from the other testers and send them back to Team Inferno, you will also test
Tester- Just test stuff
Thanks for all your help and you'll definetly get credit!!!

I thought maybe he hooked up with your team after the awesome port he did of CM9? Which was my first taste of cyanogen on Android btw. Was my favourite ROM for quite some time.
Anyway, keep up the good work! Looking forward to your progress on the Note.

Really miss his work too. Loving the progress that Entropy and XplodWild are making on the official CM9 build (I'm currently using it) and I can't wait for nightly builds, but Imilka's unofficial v03 is probably still the best ROM for the Note until the other devs can crack things like speakerphone and USB mass-storage.
Thinking of reverting back to Imilka's v03 for now. Any chance we could convince him to make a v04 that merely includes the latest CM9 changes?
what if he moved to sgsIII?
oh no

I know it's frowned upon to ask, but how likely are we going to see a build for the Tab 2 in the future?
Not trying to be rude or demanding or anything, I know it takes developers time to release new builds, but I simply am so excited for the vsync and triple buffering utilization. Google is paving the way for mobile OS technology while Apple sits in the corner throwing up the same old OS with one or two "new" features. That being said... I can't wait for 4.1
A build will show up shortly I'd think. Granted, more stuff will be working in it if more people would test out and help fix my ICS AOSP build.

With CM9 almost fully functional, it shouldn't be overly difficult to make it work with Jelly Bean. My first build didn't boot, but I think it's a kernel/driver issue. Hopefully I can get more time this weekend and next week to get it booting.

Friends.. Just wanted to share this.. I know a build is under progress for the at&t version .. but the 2 most amazing developers at CyanogenMod are now building it for the international version.. And the way they are going we should be seeing it in a few days as experimental builds.
1) @codeworkx : we all know codeworkx of team hack sung ..
https://plus.google.com/111398485184813224730/posts/aJHAEuhyfzM
And
2) @Koush : developer and maker of cwm .. rom manager and Dev at CyanogenMod

But I think he said that he was going to develop for the Qualcomm version of the S4, not sure though... A bit disappointed but we still have really amazing developers!
I have limited knowledge on rom development but I have flashed CM on my current GS2 so would like to ask a few questions -
1.How difficult is it to root and flash roms on HTC devices, the One in particular, compared to Samsung phones?
2. There was lack of documentation and dev support from Samsung's side on the GS2, how does HTC compare? Will CM have everything functioning?
3. How does the 2 button lay out work with CM? Can we configure the buttons?
The MSM8960 crew has already built CM10.1. Check the AT&T HTC One Original Android Development section.
Codeworkx is currently working along with them. Not sure about Koush.
I heard CyanogenMod is working on other stuff currently.

Just fyi, ATT version of the device is the same basically as international. My understanding is that there are currently two different variants: GSM (international+ATT) and CDMA (Sprint)
So, ATT ROMs will work on international devices. Trickdroid is known to work on ATT, and I have read somewhere an international user using CM from the AT&T section.

Correct, all GSM variants play nice with one another. So a Rom developed for ATT will work with the international version. People will have to be a little careful when s-off comes but typically devs do not include radio's in their Rom's.

yeah, not putting an AOSP rom on my phone this time. Too many issues in the past on phones like the sgs3 - not everything works 100%, camera quality is crap, battery life not optimized, etc. Sense 5 is pretty minimal and brings some good features.
