Hi all, I've been through all the S4 forums looking for a version of aosp camera with photosphere or a 360 panorama but I can't find it. It seems like not long ago I was seeing quite a bit of talk about it and now I can't find much of anything.
I am on liquid smooth 2.10 and there's no photosphere. If anybody could point me to a thread or even just a link to download the camera that would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a thread with the a flashable photosphere camera that worked for me.

And this is the moto x camera which works except for HDR and slow mo.
As I'm sure this thread is probably a duplicate or triplicate or whatever, mods should feel free to delete.

Hey guys,
I installed the Android 4.3 Google Edition rom, and love it so far. Everything is smooth and simple, but the only real thing I miss is the panorama and how well it took those. The pictures are easier to focus and it seems to have better lighting and faster shutter speeds on this Google Edition (AOSP) camera, but the panorama just doesn't compare to the stock touchwiz...
Here are some samples from my back yard...

TW.jpg is the stock Touchwiz camera...
AOSP.jpg is the GE camera but the quality is nothing close to the TW.
HDPanorama.jpg... I decided to purchase this 'HD Panorama +' application, but as you can see, it has artifacts and missing links... just a waste of money...
Is there a good Panorama camera app that is anything close to the stock touchwiz camera?
Thanks in advance...
I'm currently running CM11 (4.4.2) Verizon G2. While looking around the board at different mods (new to the phone.....) I noticed there was a 4k camera mod, but it only worked on stock LG mods.... Sad face. So I set out to find one for CM/AOSP... Saw jishnu's camera... But he is gone, and the project is no longer supported, so no download links. I can't find anything else, but I would really like to be able to use this camera to its best potential. Does anyone know of any decent camera mods for AOSP?

not gonna happen
As noted, you'll never get the Samsung camera app on CM12. However, the One +1 camera app might be a good alternative. It has everything found in the stock app, plus a few features that aren't.
EDIT: Failed to realize that the One +1 camera app was included in CM12 as Cyanogen Camera. Still a good option compared to the stock Samsung camera, and a major reason I switched to Danvdh's GPE ROM.
HTC M8 Lollipop Camera works
Search on google for Jishnu's Camera Mod HTC One M8 camera Port
Flash V1.1 then V1.2 Resolution Patch.zip
It works nice on my S4 with Kangapop should work on CM12
It also includes the nice HTC m8 gallery
I use it because it shoot pictures better than the motorola and one plus one camera.
What Works?
Photo booth
Rear Camera(Selfie) and video(Full HD)
Selfie Camera and video(HD)
Pan 360
What doesn't work? (some hardware limitations)
Zoe Camera
Split capture
Edit photos on HTC Gallery
Note:
To fix auto-focus just take a picture.
I've been doing a lot of testing comparing photos taken on Touchwiz and photos taken on CM and the end result is that basically , photos taken with Snap camera on CM12 seem to look just as good as those taken on samsung camera app on a touchwiz Rom.
However, every app I try for CM12 seems to have a slow burst rate ( around 1 per second) when in burst mode.
e.g.
+Snap camera on touchwiz seems to take burst photos at the same speed as samsung camera app. ( 5+ frames per second-ish!?)
+Snap camera on CM12 burst mode can only take photos at around 1 frame per second.
Is this something that can be tweaked in the CM rom, or is it a limitation of the camera driver available to CM?
Hmm noone knows anything? no reply here and no reply when I asked in CM dev threads either.

Sorry I'm wont be of any help but I too am looking for answer to this. Its the one last thing I need on a CM12 ROM. I'm trying to figure out if its an app or ROM issue. I suspect it comes down to the camera hal on CM12 that needs changing. I've been trying to search the net for answers but your post is as close as I have come to finding an answer. I am thinking of looking at CM12 source code to see if there are any answers there. Currently I have tried ported Oppo camera and ColorOS cameras for OnePlus One phones. They can take pics super fast and look to be the answer until I try burst mode and then its just sits a 1 photo taken and wont "burst" so to speak.
If you have found out any more info on the matter since your original posting please let me know and in return I will post what I find.
Here is what I have been trying so far. Better than anything I find in the Play store.

I didn't have any joy i'm afraid. I bored of asking and being ignored!
Previous versions of CM seemed to have faster burst which suggested to me it was a ROM issue but there seems to be zero information on it.
Couldn't find an answer to this question I think is so so important, especially when putting a new ROM rather than roots +Xposed for instance..
So please guys do other Roms( like the ported nightly cm and dirty unicorns etc. )
Actually have a better camera app/experience with them?
Working manual controls like iso and shutter speed?
No problem with raw?
And just overall quality?
Been looking for an answer for months now to this question..so please help
Using your camera is the same on any ROM. Moto Camera can even be installed from the play store if that's your preferred camera app.
it really depends on the camera app you use more than the ROM. Try out a few different apps, like OpenCamera or Qualcomm's snapdragon camera (you'll have to find the APK on this site and install it)
