Any root or CWM for N900V yet?
I'm also waiting for this... Afraid to do too much customizing before I can make a proper backup

Will verizons note 3 owners have to use odin to flash roms?
Flash back to stock, then yes or to root. To flash custom roms we need a bootloader work around or unlocked bootloader

Wish it was as easy to unlock as my old phone which is still pretty new (Galaxy Note 2) Adam outler made it very simple with his Creation of Casual one click. Thinking of returning my note 3 and going back to my note 2. Wish there was a DEV edition of the note 3.

Not everyone who roots flashes a ROM. I root so I can use battery saving apps that need root to force close some system apps. I use some apps that require root for a firewall or call blocking. Have you ever wanted to freeze pre-installed apps, or even delete then? This list goes on and on.

I am reading a lot of folks who are having issues with the Samsung Galaxy S4 AT&T MF3 build and I don't want to become one! Can some users that has been using "known good" methods for a bit confirm what root method and recovery you are using, please?
Thank you, Moniker

Search for the exFAT card reader method its very easy for root.some people are also using kango root exploit as well
Search Safestrap for its making flashing ROMs safe and easy for most.
That's the only options available for our ATT I337 S4

Is there a compatible official firmware (odin flashable) that I can revert to, not finding any for the MF3.

you can root on mf3. there are guides in general i think. you can not unlock your bootloader though, only the pre mf3 gs4s can.
It is kingo root. It is easier than the exFAT method.
There is no Odin for MF3. Look for Safestrap.

Yeah kingo is more noob friendly, run program > hit root (pushes supersu) > enjoy :3
Hope I was no imposition.

So I can't return to stock and reset the flash counter if I needed to!?! I am only familiar with flashing Samsung devices with the official firmware via Odin and using triangle away to achieve that...

So I took the risk and rooted my AT&T S4 with kingo. The only issue is that I can't get a recovery installed. Is there any way to get CWM installed or should I use safestrap?

You can't use either

Not even safestrap? That sucks. Oh well, life goes on. Thanks for the info.

Need root. To root without a pc try towel root. Not sure if any other work. After root seach in twrp page how to flash recovery using terminal emulator
"This phone isn't currently supported" - Towel root
I think Tr supports only Exynos Note 3... not n9005. I also tried Framaroot and that didn't work also.

You need a pc for root
Well I don't have a PC. There should be a PC-free way...

Then you go ahead and make one, buddy. I'm sure the community will thank you for it.
If I knew how to make it I wouldn't be standing here asking these questions.

Hello experts I have a question can I have two custom recoveries on my note 3 at the same time? A friend of mine has 3 recoveries on his xperia z1!
Sent from my SGPT12 using XDA Free mobile app
It's possible, but why? I don't see what the point of this would be.
What would you use the 2nd recovery for? Or even the 3rd.

I love Cwm but for some roms I need twrp and I would like to have both
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Free mobile app
TWRP is best and in active development. Hate it and be happy. Or is it Philz recovery that combin cwm and twrp, but not in development if im not wrong?:S As said best bet is TWRP .

No you can't put them together yourself unless you are a developer who knows how to do. Never heard of it.
Ok thank you
