i think there is alot of people like me, who wants to contribute, but cant write code. So is there anything that needs to be translated now or in future? (ie. extra menus etc)
There will be for sure. New features need new strings. You can contribute your translations through Gerrit.
Yes, we will get translation support introduced later on in the introduction of the project. For now though, translations can go in via gerrit as normal, but I believe there is a tool that can be used to assist in translating, that we'll try to get going.
If possible can translations have their own section on Gerrit so they can be filtered out? Look at Cm's Gerrit, it is entirely cluttered. I'm unsure of how it would work, sorry

Thats why we want to introduce a way that makes it very
simply to add translations also for "non-devs"
I too would like to contribute as a translator. there is a lot of custom rom out there that didn't have my country language (malaysia=spoken language malay) and if i can be a help, i would really like to help. looking forwards to this rom. finger cross.

There are websites like crowdin.net that can can help a lot with crowdsourcing translations. No need to know anything about coding!

that would be nice, 2 or more translators is always better than 1 since you become blind for your own mistakes after while. Anyway im going to w8 till i get this rom installed on some of my devices, quality of translation is much better when i can check every string from device, because some sentences could lose its meaning with wrong word choices.

Not sure about that. My interpretation would be that he is notifying that he may ask for help when Froyo is available in Chinese. How could English-only devs convert a ROM to Chinese? (That is a language problem.)

you're right, the problem is, even the offical ROMs doesn't include Chinese.
So a nice Chinese guy has converted the whole ROM into Chinese, that's how we get the JFD Chinese version. But it seems this guy is really busy these days, so there's no Froyo in Chinese so far.
What I've been doing, is introducing ROMs like Axura to those who's ok with English ROMs, and they really love it.
But fot those whose English is not that good, nothing I can do about it...

I think he is asking for Chinese language pack be added to his ROM. Isn't language packs universal? i.e. works with all ROMs?
He said alot of people have the T-959s over there, perhaps its the I9000?
By the way, some of you need to be respectful of people who have limited english. I would like to see well you do if you had to contact a chinese forum for help.

在中国，有很多人在用T959（不是i9000），大家不信的话可以在网上看看，很多人都在买，因为这个手机在中国的价格很便宜。
有人说去机锋或者安卓上看看，要是那两个网站上有比较好的或者说最新的中文rom的话，那我还来这做什么？我英文又那么的差，不是自己找丢脸吗？我每天都在上这两个网站，网站里有2.2板的rom，但不是英文的就是有很多BUG的汉化rom，比如说在中国，T959的GPS不能用（2.1的有些能用但是不是很理想），信号非常的不好，刷成2.2英文rom后能不能发中文短信？很是迷茫。我的T959是2.1中文的，对于2.1的中文rom来说我想我没用过flash大家可以理解吧，2.2中文rom我现在只能YY一下了，对于2.3的中文我连想都不敢想。
还有人说只要会一点点英文就行了，可是我一个上学没好好上，到现在快三十的人了，叫我去学英文，我真的学不进去。很多时候记住了第二个英文了，但是第一个就又忘记了。英文ROM不是不好，但是得看在哪呀，我想在中国很多朋友都跟我一样，如果能用中文的话，谁还选择英文？（毕竟国土语言看着亲切呀）

Sounds like he just wants a 2.2 ROM with Chinese support. Cut the guy some slack. At least he posted it in the right section. Most fluent English speakers can't get that part right.

But you never know
some talented people like 'jazux' can port it
afterall he's a RD
You know he's silently working on MIUIx port
He don't boast here and there fooling people around
I would take a shot at it but it seems I don't know Hebrew and the only languages I know is Japanese, English, Hindi, and Gujarati so there's nothing I can do however if you can get someone who knows Hebrew you could follow one of the rom making guides.

I AM TRANSLATING THIS WEB TO ENGLISH
I started this project thinking in offer a site with all the roms and kernels of our xperia. But not only roms, also useful information like governors descriptions. The users can use the web to download all the requested files and follow instruccions. After, they will use xda or other forums to comment their experience, doubts or problems... A few time after, @TheWolfer22 started to help me. And now we try to bring the best experience to the users.
I use materialize framework to give a material aspect to the web. For the moment, the web is not complete and will be updated regularly with new sections and roms.
Unfortunately now the web is only in spanish. I will work to include a button to change the language to english first and other languages in the future.

To be completely honest, people prefer sticking to one site (xda), all that information is already found on xda. @CubeDev had this idea but it was quickly dismissed by every other member in the XSP Hub in Kik because it was not necessary. So he stuck to filehosting (CubeServer) which was a great success as developers used this as a site to upload their work.
You would need permission from developers to mirror their work, etc.

Actually this could work in other languages than English. Almost everybody understand English but I'm sure a lot of people are more comfortable in their mother tongue. Giving them the basics in their language (and basic traditions/terms) would probably help them a lot to come into the development world. I'm sure you could find people willing to translate it. Spanish is already done

Great! But i agree with the previously posts, please make this site for English language too. The English is a worldwide language, much more people spoken than Spanish.
The page is in spanish because our primary idea was do it for the htcmania spanish community. Now this project is bigger than we expected and for that reason we decide to translate it to other idioms. This project has months on the spanish community isn't new.
