I just don't see it men, mine (N900) just look plain great.Whites:
Dynamic: bluish tint but not as notable as my old GSIII.
Standard: Still a little bluish but it is barely notable.
Professional: White but WHITE man it may be 200 Kelvin away from the 6500 standard.
Movie: well this one does indeed look yellowish to me but not even enough to note it in an everyday basis.

That one of the only things that I hate about Samsung, because almost all their products are either manufactured in different places or use different internals for the same phone quality standards just seem to vary too much between each one.
Phone origin:
Korea, China, Vietnam.
Battery origin:
Vietnam, Korea.
Processor:
S800, Exynos.
Etc, etc, etc it's just too many variables for me hahaha

correct me if I'm wrong..
the yellow tint you can see on black background I only see in Samsung Apps like Messages, Settings and so on. If I'm in an non Samsung App I GOT TOTAL BLACK even when viewing it in total darkness...
so I don't think its a hardware defect more an software thing...
just to be sure i tested with an LCD/AMOLED screen tester app and when showing the black IT's ALL BLACK
I don't see any uneven tint in gray, white or any other color..... ONLY the yellow uneven tint on black background in settings, messaging...
I've had over 10 difference NOTE 3 in my hands trough work and the all had the same yellow tint
ohh one more thing this is ONLY REALLY VISIBLE IN POOR LIGHTNING OR DARK ENVIRONMENTS

I notice it in the play store and chrome too...
I used to have a Galaxy Nexus which suffered from a yellow tint problem. I got several replacement units but they were all the same. My carrier refused to acknowledge it as a fault until a few months later when I saw a friend's Galaxy Nexus without the issue. I took a photo of the two phones side-by-side and sent it to my carrier. They finally admitted the problem and sent me a Galaxy Note 2 as a replacement phone.
I think that there are sometimes manufacturing issues with amoled screens. In my case, there was clearly an entire batch of phones with the problem.
The best thing to do is to go to a retailer (not the same retailer where you bought yours) and ask them nicely to show you a Galaxy Note 3 so you can compare the quality of the screen. Take a digital camera with you and if the units are different, take a photo of them side-by-side. Sent the photo to the retailer you got your phone from, or to Samsung (assuming you haven't tripped the Knox flag and if you have you might be covered anyway if you're in the EU) and ask for a replacement from a different batch.

Turn Off "Reading Mode"
Mine is perfectly white.
I have a sm n900w8, an? the acreen is perfect, black is always black, white is always white, where did you get your phone? this might be a software issue, some apps rendering those wrong colors, otherwise take your device to your retailer or carrier
Just Remove the phone from Power Saving Mode - The Yellow tint will go away

Please help! I just bought the Bell galaxy s 2 today and realised that in low brightness settings screen has a pink tint.
Does anyone have this issue? Its more visible in grey colors. When i compare with my galaxy s, galaxy s' whites are true white and galaxy s 2's white are pinkish tint on it. When the brihhtness is at %100 its not that visible but once u set it %0 it becomes pinkish.
Is it what it suppose to be or its defective?
Note: yes i played with background effect but it didnt help. I am running KG2.
Edit: I compared with galaxy s again and if I make the brightness %100 on galaxy s 2 both screens almost identical (although SGS2 still has little warm whites) but at %0 brightness when I pull down the notification screen sgs2 has literally pink hue
Why not anyone comment on this? 100 something views and no comments?
U guys all have sgs2. pls at least share your phone's display colors so I can know if something is wrong with mine.
Yep got it to and also pink on camera also mine going back to Amazon tomorrow had two in a week with same problem Ive got one ordered from another retailer ... but I think its a inherent fault

Are you saying your whole screen looks rather pinkish ? I've seen couple of devices that were pretty much reddish when showing white, but i think that's not normal. You should replace it.

Yes whole screen has a reddish tint. Especially grey colors. Instead of grey it displays reddish. If i compare Gmail app with Sgs side by side, my screen has ridiculously pink color.
I wonder if its a software issue or hardware? Cuz I remember in sgs hardcore's kernel he made an.option to change the colors.
This is my second sgs2. First one had a dead pixel. So I didnt wanna go right away and change it. I wanted to ask yours.
More input will appreciated.
I uploaded a pic SGS and SGS2 side by side displaying Grey Graident Colors. what do you think?
If your phone looks like the one on the right, get it replaced. No rom/firmware will make it look good.

I'd take the lack or response to mean that it's not a problem experienced by many people. If your read the threads talking about the display, you'll see there's wide variations in color temperature. Cool/blue seems to be normal while there are reports of phones leaning toward warm/yellow. Pink hasn't been reported a lot so I'd exchange the phone.

My girlfriend and I have the same german sgs2 (dbt) and mine has a bit of a greenish tint whereas hers had a but if a reddish tint. You can't notice it when using the phones alone but when you put them side by side you can notice it a little bit, but really not that much. Seems to be an AMOLED thing. Maybe I'll manage to take a photo for you.

Thanks a lot for that image. I have been wondering what people were talking about when they mentioned pinkish screen...
Luckily I don't seem to have that problem. It seems like there are a few defective screens out there.
perhaps supercurio will have a voodoo colour fix with the sgs2 whenever he releases it. It fixed the tinge on the original sgs. Look it up if u are unfamiliar with it
I changed the phone today and got a new one. Its better now and significany less pink color.
Also I discovered something that the pink tint is only visible when u look at the screen 90 degrees. If u tilt the phone a little (5-10 degrees) to left-right or up-down and view like that the color turns normal (like my year old sgs).
It made me realise that this is a screen coating issue (maybe coating causes polarisation). So do u think this will go away with the time of use?
When I turn off the screen and check it under light by tilting I can see a little purple glare.
What do u think?
I got a white note 10.1 on thursday from john lewis after really wanting the grey but I thought they didnt stock it , it was smooth and the screen was perfect
I spoke to a colleague who said tgey did the grey so I went and swapped it wow what a mistake .
The s pen isnt as responsive , the grey lags and I have really bad screen bleed which ive enclosed in a pic
Question do the grey and white have different sceen manufacters ? Or am I unlucky
Ive emailed john lewis to tell them and gonna swap it back to the white one I had
Thought id share the screen bleed

Makes me wonder where you folks are getting all these devices with issue. I got my gray 32GB Note from Amazon and it's perfect. No bleed, creaking, or flex. Great device.
My Grey one is perfect too,So glad i returned the Asus TF700 for this tablet which came with dead pixels
I'd say you're just unlucky. Screen bleed is pretty rare on this device, unlike other devices like the ASUS Transformer series or some (but not all) of the Acer Iconia series.
I personally prefer the look of the white, and it matches my white Galaxy S2 (which I think is beautiful).
I have had the Note 10.1 since Oct 25th and have had no issues until today. I have light bleed on the upper left corner that I never noticed until now. I noticed it only because I was watching Hulu. I may end up returning it since I hate light bleed. I had a lot of experience coming from the Prime and Infinity its not as bad as those but still annoying to see.

Get it replaced it is a faulty piece it could have happened with a white one also nothing major, I think light bleeds are something that is constant nowdays wonder why because which the technology leaps this should be something that should never happen at the same time something that does not affect the device
i have note 10.1 white and made in korea
i have small light bleed in the corner behind home button , but i cant see it only can see in very black screen other than that my tablet is very good with good quality
To all who have screen bleed issues, screen bleed and the un uniformity of black color is normal for LCD panels up to a certain limit so not any bleed is considered a defect , only bleeds that make white cloud on colorful backgrounds is considered a defect

Its not big deal, mostly everyone has this kind of problems. You will never see perfect bright whites on AMOLED screens. Yellow/purple/pink tint.

I also made some photo's of my S4 screen and got about the same results as TS. However, when I made some photos of my 24 inch LCD screen, I also saw the same 'issue'. A photo camera has problems photographing a computer/ smartphone screen, so I would not worry too much about your S4 screen.
As you can see in your photo, the bottom of the photo is noticably lighter than the top of the photo.
I'm on my 5th replacement S4, all because of screen issues!
This is my current (5th) handset and I notice horrible green tint and stripes on the screen when on low brightness in a dark room.
Before you say it, "but this isn't normal conditions" this is my normal conditions when I use my phone at home. My room is dim.
And my S, S2 and S3 all didnt do this.
Anyone else notice this sort of problem??
Yes my first s4 had the stripes in low light.
My second replacement didn't have the stripes but has the pink tint on the lower half of the screen.
Not sure whether i should risk exchanging this one and get another s4 with a different screen issue.
I saw ur screen shot.. do u mean by green tint in left sides from corners?
If yes then its faulty.. and ignore the answer which is written below
If u mean why black is horible in settings menu like settings, file manger..
Then I have truth answer of that shot..
We all know samsung have smearing thing like we move text on settings its looks bad ghosting caused by true black pixel(turned off in black fully)..so for that, samsung did change they make a black intensity to 0 to 1% in settings menus..
So, for fixing smearing issue they did that..
If u have doubt with black.. then open a pure black image or download screen test from play store..
See the black should fine..
Dont trust on black on settings..
Its normal normal normal normal..
Edit. And I seen u are in custom rom..
Well the notification bar it's pure black and see the menu side..(file manager)
I hope it helps

In my opinion, with the S4 you just end up replacing one issue with another!
Trust me I've had 5 replacements and not one has had a perfect screen
I've given up on my quest for perfection now, which I don't think is to much to ask for one of the most expensive phones on the market!
Samsung have let themselves down on this one.

That's a shame. I would exchange the phone for a HTC one but I don't want to give up the 5 inch screen, user replaceable battery, and micro SD card.
Hoping Samsung comes out with a firmware fix for the pink tint like they did with the s2.

This issue isn't software related.
It's a very poorly made AMOLED display. Samsung only have $$$ in mind.
It is a shame, and believe me, if the HTC One had an SD card slot I would totally own one right now!
I don't disagree with you, but if they can provide a software workaround i'll take it.
If they can do some type of filter to the bottom or top of the screen to offset the pink tint that would fix the issue most likely.
I'm thinking that's what Samsung did to fix the yellow tint on the left side of the screen for the galaxy s2.
I don't see why Samsung can't do that for the s4.

U r feeling over shame..lol..
There is still no competitor of samsung..
Samsung amoled have pure black.. truly pixels off in black. Amoled have high saturated coloure.
Htc and sonys display are sufffering moslty from dead pixel but in s4 is no dead pixels..
I love amoled screen..even I have slightly tint..which not noticable..
If samsung have $$$ in mind then its not enough and not true..
Samsung have $$$ because their product have high sales becauase its best and people like it..
I know that u r sad because u got bad piece after replacement too..
My suggestion is sell it and buy s4 from original shop...

I got all 5 phones from reputable shops here in NZ.
The first 2 were from 2Degrees and the last 3 from Vodafone.
We don't have a Samsung store here so I've gone to the best places that are available to me.
I feel this new Full HD AMOLED panel was rushed to market and didn't have the proper quality control or testing done. Simple.
Yes I'm a bit annoyed over it, but not sad.
There are much worse things going on the world right now than my phone having a green screen.
I was just wanting to know if it really is worth me chasing the perfect screen or if everyone else is experiencing issues like this.
I got my s4 here in nz too. The firmware was out of date and I had horrible blacks in videos too. I flashed to the German firmware and it's night and day better with proper blacks etc. My only complaint now is the yellow green tint on the screen, really annoys me watching movies. It disappears if you tilt the screen slightly but when viewed straight on everything has a faint yellow tint.
I agree with what was said above - my view is it's just a poor screen.

Hi I have the white galaxy note 3 and I've noticed after a few weeks of using it that the screen has a slight yellowish tint. it is especially noticeable when looking at white backgrounds and on the Google home page. My gf also has the black note 3 however she got hers a month after me and I got mine the day it came out. On her screen there is no yellow tint at all and the whites are perfectly crisp white and not off white. Does anyone have a solution for this or how to fix it also the screen on her phone seems a lot more hd and clearer compared to mine, this can especially be seen at low brightness. Please help Thank you.

Well, you can download an app called "Screen adjuster" and see if you can remove the yellow tint that way. I seriously doubt it but it's worth a shot, otherwise I don't see another way to solve this. Maybe someone else got an awesome idea. But try the app, otherwise I think it's a defect screen, unfortunately.
The yellow tint will be more noticable on Movie mode correct? How about if you switch to dynamic mode and or standard mode, do you still see yellow?
My S4 used to be slightly yellow also. As did most of my IOS phones I had before.
