When the USB is connected and the screen is allowed to timeout and lock the phone, the phone produces a rainbow like screen. If I tap on the screen, it goes back to the screen I was just on. The phone never automatically locks itself when the screen times out. It just produces this rainbow wallpaper. I have to manually lock the phone with the power button whenever the USB is plugged in. This only occurs when the USB is connected to the phone. Please see the attached for the rainbow screen.

I have a minor bug in ICS (Stock 4.0.3 - UCKE1 Radio - ICUP Kernel). When I connect my phone to my computer and select "USB connected" this triggers the screen to turn off. When I turn the screen on again it's where it should be with the Turn on USB toggle. It only seems to happen when I'm trying to access the notification menu from the lock screen (slide lock), however, it works fine from the home screen. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
Has anyone else noticed all 4.0.3 roms have this bug? Plug your phone into your computer with USB. Turn on phone. While at slide lock screen, slide down notification bar. Select USB connected. The screen turns off. Every other notification, if selected from the slide lock screen goes to the corresponding location. Only this one thing is broken. Is there some way the devs can fix this?
I was just wondering if the screen on the LG G2 is supposed to remain on if you plug it in for charging?
I'm running stock UI and after plugging it in, when I wait for the screen to time out it goes to a live wallpaper and other themes I've tried seems to do this as well. I can't find any way to have it time-out normally to an off LCD screen. I'm just afraid that with the screen on that it will affect the charge time.
It seems that I can only get the screen to turn off by pressing the power button. If I try to knock off, it just throws the phone back to my lock screen.
Is this normal? If so, is there anyway to set it so the screen turns off automatically while charging?
Turn off the dream crap in settings.
I was trying to get rid of bloatware on my Full Guard with ADB and I went a little overboard; needless to say something broke, and now it's almost bricked.
When I start it up, it loads the Wear OS animation, but then the watch face flickers black every second or so. Pressing the main button toggles between a black screen and my blinking watch face, and my touches are being registered/shown on screen but are ignored. If I hold the main button for a second a grey background with Google's microphone symbol flashes, and if I keep holding it the power dialog appears - and works - as normal. It also goes to sleep after a while, but that's about all it does. I tried connecting it to ADB wirelessly, but it wasn't even connecting to my Wi-Fi (I confirmed with a LAN scanner). I can't connect my phone to it via Bluetooth either.
Is there a way to enter recovery/fastboot mode - without ADB, obviously - from which I can do a factory reset? If so, what button combination would work? I found no guides online, probably because it's not that widely used, and got no comments on Reddit... Any ideas?
Galaxy S5 G900F klte with LineageOS/eOS (Android 11) TWRP and Magisk Root.
The Screen works fine after booting the device. But:
- after the Screen Time out starts - the screen stays black (sometimes flickers a bit when pushing power button)
- also if i manual turn off the screen with i.e. pushing the power button - the screen stays black (sometimes flickers a bit when pushing power button)
Rebooting or taking battery out and back in doesn't help most of the time to get the screen back - and after the first screen time out / turning off screen manually it stays black anyway.
So at the moment I can only use the phone at home with my laptop (with scrcpy ).
I don't think it is a Hardware problem because when I boot into TWRP the screen works fine - for testing purposes i stayed for 2 days in TWRP and the screen came always back to life after every screen time out during the whole time.
Also the touch still works even if the display is black - when i see the screen on scrcpy i can see it functions normal when i touch around on the display.
I also noticed that the screen comes often back alive when i first start scrcpy with the --turn-screen-off flag and then push the home button 1 or more times on the phone)
Any suggestions how to fix that?
Is there maybe a graphics driver i could disable/change/switch in the development options?
