Hi all,
I don't post very often, so hopefully I'm in the correct forum.
I've got my new i9505 running stock Android 4.2.2
After restoring my apps and settings with Titanium Backup, I get this error all the time.
Mostly when unlocking the screen.

try to clear cache/clear data in
Settings/More../Application Manager/(swipe to ALL/find com.sec.android.app.keyguard
try report back
Ive been trying to figure out how to stop this as well

when the phone is locked. service is running so even if you touch the screen it won't work because it's locked

yes. lockscreen, as soon as the phone is locked. everything in lockscreen runs the service

i have the same problem on my moto g 2, but i cant do anything and i tried to clear everything earase everything from bootloader and still the message appears! Someone help please!!!

I had the same problem on my phone and had found a solution that worked for me.
1st. Simple. After changing rom and/or kernal before turning your phone off disable lock screen.
That worked well for me but i love my lock screen and it kept freezing on me once i added it back on so now we reach a second solution.
2nd. After changing rom and/or kernal before turning your phone off make sure to pick a launcher for home screen and press (ALWAYS).
after having a dedicated home screen launcher the pop up never resurfaced.
If you dont mind not having a lock screen pick the first.
If like me and need a lock screen choose the second.

how come? i also have the same problem but i didnt activate any of my phone locked service.. i only used my cleaners lock app for privacy purposes... how did it happen for me to have such a problem.

Don't think you need to start a new thread for every question just ask in the last one you started.Don't mean that in bad way just tryin to help.
Also the kitchen has built in help and it tells you exactly what to do. If sendkeys is failing it will link you to the download to get it. It tells you that if you can't install it for any reason then to just use cmd.

Once Powershell is done installing, just hit refresh.

There was a pop up message waiting for you to acknowledge it. It may have been hidden. I wouldn't recommend trying to rush through as you are trying to leave though.
This guy has been over on androidforums.com and we have tried to help him there too. He asks the same thing over and over in multiple threads over there as well. Not sure what the deal is . We've pointed him in the direction for rooting and everything on it, even told him to read and research etc.

You don't have to apologies. I think a lot of people are worried, and new to the scene. But I do suggest taking your time and the advice everyone is giving you. There are a lot of good guides/tutorials out there, you just have to read them. Take your time and read. Do not rush it, as that is what causes problems.

Boot back into the recovery.. do restore nand. You'll have your stuff back..
As far as your contacts go, you should be using a google account to store them... That way, when you flash a new rom, you wont have to enter in your contacts every time... Even if this is the sole purpose of your google account.. its worth it.

Do you guys know the size of the update?
Nothing here in the UK (again).
There was no mention of the size of the update.
It is 3.22mb
I'm in the US, mine updated, took about 20mins, lots of updates, faster, better fonts, well worth it
how do you get those updates?
did you enabled the update function under settings?
It has been almost two hours and I can not get my tab to turn on. It was fully charged and unplugged when I hit update.

Then it is nothing new. That update comes out about a week ago.

If you are just getting a black screen after trying to apply the update you can clear this up (if rooted with CWR). If that applies to you boot in to CWR, wipe cache, wips Dalvik, reboot. It will be as if the update was never downloaded. Several folks reported this and this was a clear resolution - short of restoring a backup.
If you did not install CWR, are not rooted, or have no idea what I am saying above I can not be of any help at this time. Sorry.
Those of you that installed the update, were you rooted? If so, did you keep root?
Im rooted running a TW rom, got this update and rebooted, nothing happened, hung at black screen. Was very pissed. Whiped cache/davlik as instructed in this thread and was able to boot back into my tab =D

and Yes things seem to run a lot faster. (Example.... Field Runners loads twice as fast for me now!!!)
Anyone else that is Rooted install the update and all work out well?

Installing on rooted device
My Tab 10.1 is rooted and running a custom kernel but not a custom ROM. I tried to do an OTA update but it didn't work (same as others). Is there an issue updating firmware on a rooted device? Will updating "unroot" my device?

i flashed the cm10.1 unoff. rom on my brand new I9505.
but every time i boot up, whatsapp gives me an error, the my phone has an wrong date.
it shows 02.01.1970!
i found this date in some threads but no one has a issue with it.
where is my problem? how can i fix it?

Hi,
Try re-installing your sim card.
That is where your phone will look for the date.

after some seconds the phone get the correct date!...???
but on startup, there is an wrong date and a wrong time...
and WhatsApp won't work till I'll click on the message.. ;-(

But if I check some files on the phone on console, some of them has am date of 02.01.70.
Like I said before, on done threads on xda dev's I found information's about the mounting of volumes on s4 with that date as timestamp. So the 02.01.1970 should be not an unknown date...

Dear Sir,
Recently i experienced the same problem and got to know that it occurred because i unchecked Automatic Time zone bla bla bla via time settings. Thats why this kinda thing happened.
Just check if it helps you. Although am almost sure, this will be the only problem

i dont think so.
i think it's an initial issue!
if you boot into CWM or TWRP an connect with adb.
try to set the "date" commad and you will see that there is an date in 1970!!
very strange is the fact, that the days counting up.
yesterday the date was 02.01.1970, today 03.01.1970????
is there a way to set the date the binarys?

Build them in yourself, search for them, wait until someone does the mod, or go back to KitKat... I don't know what other answer you expect. To build them in yourself, you'll have to be deodexed.

Mabye is some launcher or some kind of built-in app store you have.
Yep, already tried to change the launcher (GO Launcher) and also tried to freeze some suspicious apps but still NO luck...
Well it's strange, because I had for a long time Mokee Kit Kat (that seems you have) and I never experienced this sort of problem.
Did you remove useless system apps? Mabye you can post your app list to see if could help.
EDIT: from a quick research those pop-ups are releated to some GO app (GO SMS probably), you need to uninstall it and try something else.

I already tried to uninstall the Go Launcher and I have NOT the sms app from Go as far as I know but I will look for sure. Btw how U made Your quick research??? I tried almost everything using google to find out whats wrong and found nothing so could You please point me in the right direction (give me some link in other words )?

Best advise would be to get rid off all go products a d then go through and remove the left over files. They have long been known for things like this and huge security issues
