(REQ)Android 4.4.2 TW missing lockscreen effects

Hello when I first bought my note 3 (4.3) in the lockscreen settings when you selected swipe you had three choices none watercolor and ripple effect now when I selected none it would show the lights effect like on galaxy s 4 this wasn't a mod it had it with the official firmware.And on most customized if not all roms on xda they had the mod for the ink that would show on the ripples when you used your s pen to appear with the finger too since I updated to 4.4.2 these two functions fell out of the window I just was hoping someone with some development skills could make these work with 4.4.2. Anyone??

There's lots of changes in the smali so it is going to take some time to work out how to do the finger ink. I did it first with Note 3 but having trouble with it at the moment so you will need to wait I'm afraid

Thank you for the feedback I hope it will be possible then soon what about the lights effect? Same case? I heard samsung released the source code for 4.4.2 but not for note 3....will that help in our case...or not?

For enabling light effect on Note 3 running Kitkat 4.4.2, Please check out here
and here for ripple ink effect with fingers or without S-Pen....

[Q] S-Pen problem after root

I have a minor problem that I noticed just minutes after rooting my note 3 (CF-Auto Root). When I hover my S-pen over a text box normally a pencil icon would appear in the top left which I'm sure most of you are aware being note 3 users yourselves lol. Anyways, after I rooted my device that feature has disappeared! Does anybody know what's going on here? Help would be much appreciated ! Thank you!

Please excuse this post. Problem had nothing to do with rooting. I couldnt imagine why it would i guess i just got paranoid lol

Yeah I would I actually created a thread like yours a while back and several requests to rom devs but no luck I think it is just a matter of weeks till we see it again also if you like the water lockscreen try Xnote rom as far as I know it is the only rom which has ink with finger effect.

Man I am not installing an app to do what should and also was on this device.
I know when I first got my note 3 in Oct last year if you selected none for the lock screen it would give you the flare and it left after like the 3rd update

I would like to see the Lens Flare effect lockscreen on my Note 3 as well.
I had it on my Galaxy S3 and these effects are available for it:

I hope a dev can port this to the Note 3 and the various effects would be awesome

I don't know if it is already on our system but I cant see it in my lock screen options so I assume it is not available for the Note 3.
The mod for the S3 on 4.3 is in this post:

Actually on our device on android 4.3 it was present but on kitkat they must have taken the effect off also about the app somebody suggested.... the app does work BUT you cannot see the small light when you hover your finger over the screen actually you can but if you keep both your lockscreens active which is a bit uncomfortable so it is a dead feature for me at least and the app is not convertable to system which means you cannot push it to system which also means the app could fc at the lack of ram or a another third app closes it to save ram etc etc....and the worst thing of all was after I found out that kit kat didn't have lights effect/flare effect it was too late to go back to 4.3

I am still on 4.3, I am running Omega ROM v6 and I cant see it available in my lockscreen settings.
I hope someone can work on a mod for 4.3/4.4 then for us

Choose water cooler then choose a live wallpaper. Then it will used in the lock screen

You didn't describe the effect whatsoever so I have no idea what effect you might be alluding to. (describe, not link to some video).
Anyway, there is no reason to think that all effects would be carried over on a different model. So if the effect that you didn't describe is indeed depreciated, then do a search to see if anyone has ported S4 effects to the S5 or perhaps another app has something similar.

It's the same, note 3 and s4 have this hovering effect on lockscreen...but the S5? ??

Its called `ink effect`, maybe a mod dev. can port it to the S5 ad the effect you see hovering over the screen is only possible on the Note 3 because of the interactive screen detecting an object.

Scrolling Screen Capture Port from Note 5?

This is a super cool feature that's exclusive to the Note 5 for no good reason... I'd love to be able to take scrolling screen shots on my edge+ but I'm not aware of a way to do that.
Does anyone know if there's a way to port this apk or something? Thanks everyone!

It is already on your phone as Screen Write and all the libs are there too, but you need a pen to activate it which you can't since s pen doesn't work with your device
