Is there a way to enable notifications for missed calls\sms\gmail using the QuickWindow case. I know there are tons of 3rd party apps that perform that function, but none can be tailored to work with quick window...
Is it a setting im missing, or is it something that can be done via custom development?
TIA
Bump, would like to see more than a clock face
It was a while ago and I don't remember what was needed for it to work. I was on cloudyg2 2.2 kk, and I was using quick circle apps from the play store. Confirmed to work (notifications also) but I don't know if you need g3 rom for that

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before and I did attempt searching for it but couldn't find anything for this specific problem.
My problem is.. How do you add remotes to the Notification Bar and Lock Screen. I have three remotes set up in the application itself, but when I turn on the Lock screen and Notification Bar features, it keeps prompting me to "Add Remote", even after I use Add remote from there.
Anyone else having the same issue or know what I'm doing wrong? Just got this phone so I figured I'd ask.
Looks to be working fine for me.

I just noticed that mine only seems to put remotes from the prebuilt library up in the Lockscreen and Notifications. Any custom remotes seem to be ignored.
I have a bit a different problem with the Quick Remote.
I setup two TVs in the normal "remote" app from LG and they both are working just fine.
But when I use the Quick Remote from the Notification Panel, neither one is working.
Both remotes are there in Quick Remote and I can switch between them, but as said, neither one does work.
Weird.

I have exactly the same problem and cannot for the life of me solve it.
When I lower the notification bar and press the QuickRemote toggle, it wants me to create/add a remote, eventhough I have 3 of them created. It's the same when I tick the option to show QuickRemote in notification bar when connected to my home wifi, the same with the lockscreen widget.
A reboot doesn't help, clearing app's data doesn't help, manually re-adding the remote controls doesn't help. I'm fairly sure it worked fine before I reflashed with stock through the official LG app.

It looks as though Customized Remotes do not show up in the widgets (notification bar or lockscreen). Only remotes added through the TV,VCR,DVD,etc buttons do. Quite a shortsighted problem there..
Is anybody out there who is able to write a (xposed) mod to enable custom remotes for the notification and lockscreen widget?
Hi there,
Seeking some advice on a ROM. Hate the look of stock LG G2, just installed stock-like kitkat on my old GNex and saw the google experience launcher with transparent everything, DO WANT. However I'm afraid of losing some features of stock LG software. Maybe you guys can recommend some ROMs, or if it's best to stay stock to get all the features I want, recommend some mods that will give me all the ROM features I want?
Things I NEED
Knock On/ Knock Off (LG feature)
4.4 Stock "Look and Feel" (fonts, transparent bars all around, appearance of time and battery and notifications bar, black instead of white setting menu, etc, you get the picture)
Always listening on the home screen, possibly the lock-screen, pretty much anywhere I can have it all over the UI (as per 4.4, not LG)
Recent Apps button instead of a menu button (as per 4.4, not LG)
Open apps from the lockscreen with apps icons already visible when looking at lockscreen (not the style where you hold finger over lock icon to see a choice of apps in a circle, and then have to swipe a specific direction. I used to have that and didnt like it as much as I like LG stock way of actually showing icons without you touching anything, and you swipe the icons, not a lock towards the icons)
Circle battery type thing on status bar that shows percentage
Things I haven't tried/am not sure about but might want from stock LG software, and might not want to lose flashing to custom ROM
Better stock camera?
SmartShare from the gallery app? (says it uses wifi/bluetooth to stream content to other devices)
Beam/DNLA/I don't even remember what it's called or what app I found it in?
Quickremote
You tell me please? I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff I've yet to discover that I might want (are any of LG's apps e.g. notebook useful?)
Things that are cool but not really necessary
Themes and a ton of extra features -- used to use AOKP and they had a decent amount of extra feature, not too few like CM, not too many like other ROMs where my head just starts spinning from all the features
Other
I'd really prefer not to have to wipe all the time, CM's OTA update feature was awesssooome when I had CM on my GNex, but CM is a little feature-lite for me, I mean it was good though, that's just a minor complaint. But if there's something better fitting my criteria above I'll put up with having to wipe to flash updates of the same ROM in the future if its necessary. I just never understood why OEMs can push OTAs to people and never make them wipe, but for custom ROMs (updating new versions of same ROM) I have to re-set-up everything every time
A lot of this stuff has been addressed already. Most ROMs have knock on built in, but not knock off. The work around is downloading an app that turns the screen off, and using a gesture control in another app (such as Nova Launcher) to double tap the home screen to turn the screen off. Though personally, I just have screen off set to my nav ring so I can access it from any page I'm on.
There's a flashable install here on the forums some where for Quick Remote. Works fine on AOSP ROMs.
As for 4.4 stuff, I have no idea.

How did you do that? I nowhere find a setting to change anything in the navigation ring.

Hi!
As everyone might have noticed, our G3 doesn't support any third party notification badges.
However I've come across this article, that claims that it's possible to make Missed'it (a very useful app) work with any launcher. I hope that some dev could look into it as it will bring a powerful feature to this device!
http://igecelabs.net/missed-it/shared_elements_api
Thanks in advance!
I think that I have the opposite problem, in the home stock launcher I have Facebook in a folder on my desktop, and it shows the badge notification count, even after I disabled Facebook notifications.... I so wish to turn it off... Anyone knows how? Cheers!
So I recently installed rooted Lollipop 5.0 BOC4 on my Verizon S5 and I previously had several mods installed but I can't remember them all (definitely had Xposed, Wanam, and a couple one-off zips like tether, one that customized the quick settings/toggles) and I'm still getting my phone setup the way I want it to work. But there are a few things I still haven't been able to find/accomplish yet on this version of Android and I was hoping the forum would be able to help me out.
Even if the answer is "you can't do that yet" or "need to wait for Xposed", please let me know so I can stop wasting my time looking for workarounds/fixes/mods. So here's what I want to be able to do:
Quickly disable/enable the lock screen without having to go into the Settings > Lock Screen. I'd prefer a quick toggle.
Disable pop-up/heads up style notifications (and revert to the old 4.4 style notifications). Specifically for texts. What apps besides Textra allow for these to be disabled?
Have the volume buttons control the sounds/volume only and not the interruptions (similar to CM 12.1 for those that are familiar).
Flashlight mod.
Any other interesting mods that are working on rooted BOC4 that you think may be of interest.
And probably the most important...
Is there any SMS app out currently that allows you to both 1) Disable the heads up style pop-up notifications on Lollipop and ALSO 2) reply/mark read/delete from the notification.
Regarding the last bullet, I've found a few SMS apps that do one or the other but not both. For example, ChompSMS and Textra allow you to disable the heads up style pop-up notification and just gives the small icon in the nav bar, but you can't reply from the notification. And Evolve SMS and QKSMS allows you to reply from notification bar, but not disable the heads up notification.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
Hi,
I'm on the international version of LG G2 (D802) and I'm on the latest stable build of CM12.1 + gapps Stock. I just noticed that I've no badges at all - I mean that little circle in red containing a number showing the no. of notifications for lots of applications e.g. Facebook app (to show missed notifications), Dialer (to show missed calls)..etc. Is there any way to have these back (by tweaking a hidden setting or so) without installing any additional software just to have that simple, yet important thing to come back again? Badges were showing just fine on original stock ROM from LG.
Thanks in advance
so is it disabled on purpose by the developers of Cyanogen for some reason(s)? and the only way to get it back is by installing a new launcher (Nova) and an addon for that launcher (Tesla)?! i.e. we need 2 pieces of software just to have that?!
