Hello,
Has anyone been able to get the bose headphones to work with lg g2. I have the MEI 2 headphones that worked fine with my htc one (mic) but don't seem to work with the lg g2. I have tried both verizon and att versions at the store and they don't seem to work. Any one has suggestions?
I have the earlier set and they work great. What doesn't eork? No sound? I know the first time they seemed overly tight.

The Mic doesn't seem to work. I have tried both the verizon store phone and att store phone and tried leaving myself a message but didn't work. I know the buttons can be porbably calibrated with Jays' headset control but that didn't work either after downloading.

I haven't been able to get either of my Bluetooth headsets to work with my N7. But before anyone asks, yes, I have searched the forum for answers but there doesn't seem to be any consensus on how to solve the problems.
I have the stock 4.2.2 ROM, unlocked and rooted. Bluetooth sees and connects with both of my headsets, each of which work with my Mint 14 desktop, but the only sound I get is an occasional clicking noise. Pretty much as if all of the audio is being clipped. Also, once a headset connects, I do lose sound from the internal speakers, as expected. But disconnecting the Bluetooth doesn't get it back. I have to reboot to get sound back.
My question is this: Is my problem due to the N7 having compatibility problems with some headsets or is this a universal problem. IOW, does anyone have a Bluetooth headset connected where both the mic and earphone work? And with all or most apps? I'm primarily concerned with having something to work with MagicJack.
I use my bluetooth headphones to listen to music. I just tried using Google Now with it (I put my finger on the normal mic so I would know which mic it was using) and It seems to work okay. Idk if it is the headphone or the connection but it took me two tried to get it to play music.

I just oredered a new headset off eBay that claims to work with the N7. We shall see.:fingers-crossed:
I'd like to know which Bluetooth headsets are known to work and on what models of N7 (grouper or tilapia).
If I understand correctly, an N7 wifi-only (grouper), will only respond to Bluetooth headset button presses and voice input if you modify the bool.xml file in framework-res.apk? Can anyone confirm that any Bluetooth headset will work (button presses and voice input) on grouper without that mod?
I've used my Bluetooth headset with my tablet without any tinkering, i didn't do much with it but it easily played/paused and changed tracks in Google Music. I've got Kinivo BTH220 headphones (yes they're cheap and are probably knockoffs. These had more details than the Artics or any other lookalikes and they work well enough for my needs) and a rooted stock N7. Oh and if your headsets giving you trouble check the pairing type under bluetooth settings. My phone has a habit of sometimes only pairing phone audio not media audio.

My Sony DR-BT22 headset has always worked great with the Nexus 7 providing I do not use the Wi-Fi at the same time. I am using a custom ROM but they worked fine with the std one.
All the headset controls work as well, pause. volume, rewind, skip etc.
But I have never needed to use the mic.
There is an issue when using both BT and Wi-Fi together. Either popping and stuttering BT or greatly reduced Wi-Fi speeds and erratic connection.
I posted about it here, but got no response....

I'm using a set of Motorola s10 Bluetooth headphones on my nexus 7.
I'm currently on the paranoid android Rom.
They work great out of the box.
All buttons work, I haven't tried voice commands though.
One thing to look for is some headsets will only pair to one device at a time.
In order to pair them with another device you have to factory reset them.
My particular headphones allow you to pair with one device for phone calls and a second device for music only.
But beyond that they require a factory reset to pair with anything else.
So if you already have them paired to your desktop you may need to reset them before pairing to your nexus.

I have the same and they work. There was an issue with WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time. Try disabling WiFi and see if you have any better luck.
If you do, the only way I've found that corrects this is to go back to stock 4.1, relock, update to 4.2 normally, then unlock, flash cwm, and go back to your 4.2 custom rom. Nothing else worked.
I had troubles with Bluetooth headphones and controllers when using WiFi yet they paired and worked perfectly on my sons stock 4.2 N7.
After going back to stock and reflashing the same rom/kernel combo, it magically started working. Try that.

I switched over to the LG G2 from a Galaxy S4 because of the locked boot loader. I am running the Unofficial CM11 4.4 rom for verizon. the problem is that when i am in my work truck, I listen to streaming music a lot and when people call me i just hit answer and talk thru the car speakers. well i can hear them but they can't hear me. i am using the same cable i had with the GS4 so i know its not that (also tried 2 other ones). any suggestions?

I have the exact same problem but I'm on tmobile, the phone is AT&T branded but unlocked, but I have yet to find any solutions to it.
maybe a fix
I am also having this problem and its very frustrating. I use auxilary cable in my car but when calls come in they say they can't hear me even if I put on speaker for the phone then they can barely hear me. An option to look at from my research might be to buy an auxilary cable with a mic. Because when a phone call comes in the phone software looks for a headset since you plugged it in the headphone jack but since there is no mic in your car then it has nowhere to go.
I drive a 2013 Hyundai Sonata (Dimensions Bluetooth Audio system), and I am also trying to connect a Canz 808 Bluetooth Wireless speaker to my LG G2. When I initially pair my phone, everything connects fine. On both my car and the wireless speaker, the media audio does not connect properly after turning off the car or the wireless speaker and leaving the Bluetooth on the LG G2 on, and then either getting back and turning on the car or turning on the wireless speaker. The media audio does not connect properly (no sound) even though the phone shows it's connected. I have to turn off my phone's Bluetooth and then back on for things to connect properly. I found an app called Xperia Z1 Bluetooth media fix on the Google Play Store that seems to fix this problem. I did a factory data reset on my phone and I still have the same problems unless I use the app I mentioned, or I turn off my phone's Bluetooth and then turn it on once the devices I mentioned are already on. It seems when the devices try to connect to the phone, instead of the phone trying to connect to the particular device first, the media audio connection gets messed up. My Nexus 7 tablet, which is also on 4.4.2, connects perfectly each and every time so this seems to be a problem with the LG G2 specifically. Anyone with any ideas why this is happening?

Guys I went to the T-Mobile store today and I brought my Canz 808 wireless speaker with me. I tested it with another LG G2 at the store, and I was surprised when it didn't have any problems whatsoever. It seems my handset has a Bluetooth hardware problem. I already tried a factory data reset, and today I even downgraded to the stock 4.2.2 to see if that would fix it. No luck. They ordered me a replacement handset. It's on backorder so I'm not sure when I'll receive it. I'll test further once I receive the replacement.

After further testing things out with the replacement handset, it seems the replacement handset has the same exact problems. This appears to be a software issue then. I wasn't able to test things out properly with the demo unit at the T-Mobile store since I only tried it a couple of times. I would highly recommend anyone having media audio Bluetooth problems to try the Xperia Z1 Bluetooth media fix app on the Play Store since this little app has solved all my Bluetooth connection problems!

I too have a problem with this speaker (canz 808) though I believe the problem is with the speaker bluetooth, I cant get it to work on my samsung galaxy or my lgg2.. also the speaker no longer makes the initialization sound that it used to make when you turn it on.. I bought this thing less than one month ago.
works with the audio cable.
I have a 2013 Subaru Outback with the Harmon Kardon stereo.
I also have a rooted LG G2 (VS980) running XDABEBB 1.2.1.
I have problems getting them to work nicely together. Here are my symptoms and hopefully you can advise on a solution.
They pair great. I always leave my bluetooth on and about 5 seconds after turning on the car, the phone connects. Yay!
I can make/receive calls without any problems.
But, I can only use the phone and Google Play Music.
I cannot get YouTube nor Netflix to play through the car stereo as a standalone app. The video plays, but there is no sound anywhere. Nothing comes out of the phone. Nothing comes out of the car speakers. It's just lost.
But I discovered this morning that if I'm on a call, I can stream Netflix & YouTube and hear it through the car stereo. Strange.
Now, there's a semi-fix by using an app called Mono Bluetooth Router (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxistar.monobluetoothfree&hl=en) but the audio quality it really crappy.
So, I'm looking for suggestions.
FYI, I've deleted & re-paired the phone several times...turning the car off and rebooting the phone between each step. I've fully wiped the system and reflashed XDABEBB on the phone in hopes of wiping any remnants of previous attempts. I've tried different connection types (internal audio or phone only). I've spoken with the Subaru dealer and they were not very helpful. So I'm pretty confident that I've covered all the basic problems.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone who has the LG V20 in their hands is also experiencing any Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) audio stuttering or skipping?
I have the AT&T version that I got early through preorder and when I am listening to music on my Ford Sync 3 in my car it is skipping and stuttering like crazy. It doesn't always do it but when it does, it is nonstop.
Not sure if anyone has suggested fixes... It does it both screen on and screen off. I don't think it's sleep related.

Could be on to something... Both Ford Sync 3 and UConnect are both made using BlackBerry owned QNX software. I wonder if something isn't jiving right between the two.
Because I have Plantronics BackBeat Sense and LG Tone Platinum headphones and neither have any issues with Spotify. Only has an issue in my car.
I even went as far as to master reset my car stereo to see if that helped. Could have something to do with the Spotify AppLink app that runs when in the car but not on a regular headset.
Try closing some apps. Also does Spotify have a cache or buffer option you can make bigger? Other than those two problems it could be signal from cellular or Bluetooth interference.
I have closed apps but have not messed with cache or buffer. I also see that track time doesnt count on screen with uconnect via Bluetooth some of the time. Truck is less than a month old and updated. Worked with my iPhone 6 plus, with the exception of album art and not being able to choose USB vs Bluetooth if both were connected. The LG isn't even detected via USB (most likely a USB C issue). I am in an airport right now and hopefully my rental will have Bluetooth to test out another connection.
I am having an issue controlling spotify when using Bluetooth in my Jetta. I can't skip tracks or control at all from my cars touch screen or controls on the steering wheel. Never had this issue with other android devices. Not sure what to do to fix but very frustrating! I have tried uninstalling spotify, wiping and repairing the phone with the car....not sure what else to do. The controls worked only the first day I had the phone. I have smart settings turned off as I thought that may have been interfering.
This is going to sound crazy, but...
I'm having the skipping/stuttering issue in my Lincoln MKC with Sync 3, but ONLY when stopped at a red light or stop sign. When driving above 20 MPH it works perfectly. This is happening in Spotify and my podcast app, and all files are stored on the phone, so it's not a slow cell connection. I just replaced my Note 7 with the V20 and the Note never had any bluetooth issues, so I'm assuming it's an LG issue that hopefully can be fixed with a firmware update.

I just swapped my V20 out with another. Haven't had the issue since. Wonder if it was a bad Bluetooth chip. Was going it when I had a LG tone headset connected while on a phone call. So far new one is good.

Have you guys tried turning on airplane mode and then off? It usually resets all the connections.

You are not crazy. I thought I was because I have this exact same problem. I use Google Play Music, but when I am stopped (or going under about 5mph) the Bluetooth stutters. Over 5mph and its flawless. I have version 2.2 of the Sync 3 software. I am using the LG V20 and that is the only device I have tried.
Have you been able to find a solution? This is the weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

I just purchased the V20 on Friday and I've had this streaming issue every time I get into my car! I have a 2017 MKZ and it's only in the car. I have an LG bluetooth headset that it doesn't skip with. I paired my husband's Beats and it doesn't skip there either--ONLY in the car. I just read about someone having issues at a lower speed--I haven't been on the freeway yet, so I cannot attest to low speeds, but it's interesting. I'm a computer geek and I'm stumped! I paired it to a Sony soundbar in Best Buy today and it didn't skip AT ALL! Grrrrr!

I discovered it was something to do with the QNX WiFi used on Ford/Lincoln Sync 3 and UConnect in some Jeeps and such.... try turning the WiFi off in the settings menu and see if you still have the issue.

I have a 2017 MKZ and an LG V20 with the SAME music streaming issue! I use Google Music and it's done the same thing with streaming music or from MP3s on the SD card. It's only in the car, not on my two Bluetooth headsets nor a soundbar I paired to in a Best Buy today. How frustrating!!! I was running errands in Houston, close to the house, so no chance for a freeway trip yet to see if it mirrors your 20mph issue. Please reply to this forum if you end up finding a fix!
I've removed numerous apps, I've disabled sleep mode on all things Bluetooth as well as downgraded Google Music too. Uggghhh!

It's not necessarily the phone or car, Spotify has some terrible programmers. In Oct there was a bug that stopped Bluetooth buttons from working and it took 3 releases to fix it.

Stuttering on Bluedio T3 Turbine Headphones
I already tried all the possible solutions from the internet. Below is the summary:
Safe Mode - still stutter
Battery Optimization OFF for Bluetooth and Music App - still stutter
Wifi OFF - still stutter
Clear data of Bluetooth and T3 Headphones - still stutter
All other bluetooth earphone or speaker - no stutter
This is weird, since the Bluedio T3 I had works fine from my old HTC 10 phone. I switched to V20 since I had charging issues with my HTC 10.
I chose V20 since it has lots of PROS and I'm a music lover.
Please help.. thanks.
