Ok so I have had a bit of a noob moment I bought a razr m and ublocked vzws block on gsm in US using radiocomm following intructions on xda.
every thing was good I was on tmobile getting hspa in tempe az
now here's where it got complicated I used dans razr m utility to gain root and I had root access and su binary was well fine.. then I accidentally flashed motopacalypse for razr hd without knowing I ran the app on my fone . Hit reboot and boom black screen will not turn on will not boot battery was at90% won't do anything except I get a green led in the top left corner that blinks slowly.... I'm stumped I can't get into fast boot I can't get it to connect to cpu so I guess my questions are as follows
1. Is motopacalypse a one apk / unlock tool for all variants
2 after searching for weeks for someone with the same problem and to no avail not finding a single forum with same "hardbrick" problem Has ANYONE ever heard of this ...?
3. If yes, can some one pls help my build was 4.1.1
98.15.66 Xt907.verizon.en.US
98.1Q-66
any help at all would be amazing thanks in advance oh btw bl version 10.9B* emmc 8gb

I believe you can use motopacalypse on the M variants without issues (m,HD,I forget the other).... the blinking led is new to me I've saw solid and one quick flash... so when you hold volume down and power for 10 seconds what happens.... I have heard of something similar to this but that was flashing the whole image (option 1 on utility) from the RAZR on the d4... I don't think he/she ever got it fixed.. but this is different you just tried to unlock it... I would definitely try to get it into fast boot and flash stock before the battery dies.... hold both volume down and power for 10 seconds when you see the screen flicker hold volume up and down that should get you into fast boot menu and then be able to navigate to ap fast boot and be able to flash stock...

Negative I tried to get into fastboot its dead nothing not anything except the green slowly flashing led I'm reallly stumped. That being said any suggestions ? Lol thank you a lot for your reply btw ive been sitting here debating posting wanted to read as much as I could on it b4 I asked

Holding the power and volume down should simulate a battery pull do you get that reaction when pressed?.... you could always try a factory cable/adaptor see what type of response you get from it ...

Hi all. I am a long time lurker and I am having issues with my DX running Liberty 1.5. It has been working very very well for about a month and then today all the buttons but the home and power button stopped working. I thought that maybe something was wrong and the phone was just having a 'moment' when I tried to reboot it it just would hold on the first boot screen (The word Liberty). The phone wont load into recovery or really anything. If you could give me some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Any other info you may need just ask and I will give it.
Can you get into the bootloader? To do this you turn it on while holding the volume down and camera buttons
yes I can get into bootloader would you be able to guide me from here?
Simply look up a guide on how to sbf. There are plenty on this forum and more on google

I also need this!
I am trying to fix my phone... I have the D720 and I power it on only to stare at the Google symbol with the unlock icon at the bottom for hours I think I bricked it! I try vol down with power to get to recovery yet it just boots straight back to the damn google icon... okay... I try to think... I vol up with power on and highlight recovery, power button to select, I see poor Andrew (the android) lying on his back with his chest panel open and a big red triangle (I named it the OH **** icon lol) emerging from his now shamelessly exposed innards! I have tried using Odin to flash a stock rom back onto my phone but it gets to writing system and fails any idea what else I can do? I am thinking I need to flash a new .pit file also but can't find one anywhere! Please someone help me get my lifeline back in running order! I just need my phone back again!
Try to fastboot flash the images. There is no reason to use Odin on the Nexus S.

My atrix wont even boot to the RSD etc selection screen
So i had my phone rooted and wanted to unlock the bootloader so i followed the steps from pudding but it did not work. everyone has a NS version of the phone in RSD Lite but mine was SE not sure why. So i tried a few times to flash the new image and clear everything out to no avail. now i don't even get to the menu that gives me 5 seconds to select what method i want to use to fix it.
all i get is a flash of this on the screen before it goes black again
SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
(stays for a second)
Entering NWFlash Recovery Mode
(Flashes under the other text but really fast before the screen goes blank)
windows wont even recognize that its plugged in. but what else is odd is that while plugged in it seems to be charging as the green notification light stays on.
any help would be great. thank you

Bootloops means soft bricks which is not really a problem. When your phone Boots up, press the down key along worth the power button. Then keep pressing down button until you see Android Recovery. Do a factory reset or flash another room once in there.

Sounds like a hard brick indeed. At this moment in time hard bricks are incurable but some people said that taking their battery out and putting it back into their phones solved their problem. You might want to give it a shot.
A guy also claimed thay its possible to unhardbrick your phone using the jtag technique. You might want to read up on it.

There's soo many forums and different avenues to go down! after about 9 hours trying various things to make my atrix (running normal 2.3.4 rooted with no other cm7 or rom or any other mod) i am left with my atrix at the boot screen OR if i leave it to boot it just makes the logging on noises then shows the white screen, then nothing.
I stupidly followed the list to freeze using bloatfreezer. Not the updated list where it reads next to HOME (make sure you have another launcher) so i have frozen 'home' and i am stuck.
i cannot do a recovery because it has that fail message x2 everytime i do the power volume - and + on the android recov.
I am completely lost. i do not understand what hard/soft/adw/ push email/ or other jargon means. If you have any solutions i'd be more than grateful.
I hope i haven't bricked my phone, cos a 2year contract and no new phone is gonna push me near that ledge lol

If you're on AT&T - get RSD lite and find the proper sbf file and flash it. If you were using Gingerbread, make SURE you have a GINGERBREAD sbf file - or else you'll permanently brick your phone. If you're on Bell - you'll need the appropriate file for Bell to flash, same rules apply - If your on gingerbread, make SURE its a gingerbread file you're flashing.

I wanna ask a question. Earlier, I used 4ext Recovery Control (the app,not actual recovery) , but i was changing the recovery theme. Anyway I chose 'reboot into recovery' to check out how the theme looked, and my phone went black and vibrated 3 times, and the orange light blinked continuously. I took out the battery and put it back in and pressed power, and same thing..black, vibrate x3, blinking light. So i took out battery again, waited bout 5 minutes, put it back and pressed vol dwn + power and it booted into hboot menu, where i entered recovery and selected reboot and it powered up normally, thank goodness! But my question is, is that a sign of something bad that i should be aware of in the future? I do have the bad chip, and i thought it was a goner! Has anybody else experienced this? Im kinda scared to be messin around now.. just wondering if y'all have seen this before.

Your phone will do that if the volume up is held during boot. Maybe the button took a dump.

Nothing like an easy fix!
Yea i had just reversed the Htcdev unlocked bootloader, a few days ago. I was happy I had my phone True rooted, s-off, eng. Hboot..and that happened! I damn near had a panic attack!
Sent from my Black Ice'd Glacier using xda premium
I also had the three fast vibrations and blinking orange led. I downgraded from Gingerbread to stock Froyo, rooted using Visionary and gfree. I then changed the engineering bootloader to 0.85.2007. I got into hboot, and verified I was S-off with that bootloader. I installed Clockwork mod recovery, and was able to create a recovery image. But, when I tried to make a backup of the rom, I got a black screen, When I tried to flash a rom I just got the orange symbol. I tried to reboot, and that’s when I first got the vibrations and orange light. I was able to restart with a battery pull, So I thought there was something wrong with my clockwork mod recovery. I reinstalled it again with the same results. I followed advice I saw in another post and pushed volume down and power and waited for the bootloader. I still had the original stock rom on there. It recognized it after a few tries, and updated. When it said reboot by pushing the power button, I got the vibrations and orange light again. It erased everything I had put on there. I wanted to see if I still had S-off, so I went to the bootloader, and I still have S-off, but the bootloader changed back to to 0.86.0000. When I tried to reboot via the power button this time, I was still getting the vibrations and orange light, and could not get it to restart. I let it charge for a while, and then pulled the sdcard in and out, along with the battery pull, and got it to restart.
I’m still new at this, so I’m not sure what I should do next. Should I try another sdcard with the stock rom? Should I try to reinstall Visionary first?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to stay on Froyo .
I think u should be ok to flash another rom. I was told it can be a result of holding volume up + power. Do you know if you might have did that by accident? Also, have you had any problems with your volume buttons sticking or anything? Since i had the problem, i have flashed several times, so maybe for me it was an isolated incident. I dont want u to blame me for anything, but my opinion is you should be ok to flash a rom, just be careful not to press the vol button while rebooting.

Thanks for the response. Should I try to run gfree again? Will it hurt anything? Even though the bootloader said S-off, when I run terminal emulator, and type in su, it says permission denied. Also I can't find gfree in the data/local folder I pushed with adb yesterday. Could this be the reason my 0.85.2007 bootloader didn't stick? I'm wondering if I should try another sdcard.
Thanks,
Erin

Now when you ask me if it will hurt anything, I am still quite new myself, and I dont want to tell you anything that would cause you to brick your phone. Do you know what emmc chip you have? Its been stated that some chips are more likely to mess up than others. If I could tell you anything, it would be to read what others have done, read the guides til you understand more..because there is no way to be sure that you won't brick your device. I have 2 mt4g so i took more chances than i should have. but go to the Ultimate Rooting, s-off guide in the wiki section, if you are choosing to continue. Im sorry i cant be of more help but i am only slightly ahead of you on this journey of learning ...
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
Before I did anything to the phone, I verified the emmc chip, it is the "good one".
This is actually my second phone. I bricked my first one in November, and it had the "bad" chip. I didn't know about that problem until I had rooted it already. I was waiting for the ICS roms to get going before I did anything. That's why I've waited so long. I ran gfree verify through adb but got su: permission denied. It seems that the gfree didn't take, although I do have the backups gfree created.
I may try to see if I can undo them in a couple of days. I need a break from the stress it creates .
Thanks again for your input.
I know what ya mean about the stress it causes...I wanted to stop, then i would lay there and think..I can do this! Then i would stop..then start again! But what really helped me more than anything, was just reading posts by other users, about similar issues. It helped me get a better grasp of what I was doing. But whatever u decide, good luck.. I think you will get it, provided you remain patient. If ya have anymore questions just ask here and if I can help I will...

My phone still vibrates 3 times and flashes the orange light everytime I reboot. The only way to get it restarted is to do a battery pull and wait 5 minutes. I tried to flash the stock rom again through hboot. This time I used a different freshly reformatted sd card. I just don't know what to try next. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks,
Erin
I finally got it to boot normally! I unrooted my phone to get s-on again. It may have had something to with gfree. I'm going to try to root it again.

It's definitely the gfree. I tried it two other times, with the same results. I was able to use the gfree method on my other phone, it just had the bad chip, so it died a few days later. I'm going to have to try another way to root the phone.
okay, I used the VISIONary method to root, and I now have S-off. No more vibrations and blinking lights.
This is a stock htc tmobile mytouch 4gphone and it stuck on the white mytouch 4G screen. It stay on for a bit and it looks like static tv picture and then it reboots, After it reboots it goes back into the white screen and then it turns black and it has a picture of the phone with a green recycle symbol then it flash's and it another picture of the phone with a red triangle with exclamation point. when I pull the battery out and put it back in and try and go into (guess it like CWM) phone and hold the power button and the volume rocker button it go into recovery and when I go to factory reset and press the power button it wont do anything. can some one please help me with this.
Use the stickied thread for bricked phones. If you can get into bootloader, you can probably fix it. All the info you need is there.

If he follows the steps in the thread that I told him to read, he MAY be OK. Let the guy hope.
Also, an eMMC is not the same as a NAND chip.

I don't know if this will work but download the pd15img.zip for either 2.2 or 2.1 (sorry I forgot which the stock 2.x is) or if your on 2.3 download that one but the rom, not the radio. Before you do that format your SD card on the computer to fat32 and then try to install that but it will wipe every thing on your phone.

If you read that thread you'll find the answer to all of your questions. Stop panicking and do your research. Seriously. This phone has built in way to restore software problems. If the eMMC has crapped out or the bootloader is corrupt, then you're hosed. Otherwise, it's fixable.
