Whenever it is unlocked and I place it on top of a card with a magnetic strip. Does this mean that it can use wireless charging?

Dafuq ??
Your phone has a magnetic sensor in it, it's attracting the contents of the strip ... That sound/act doesn't means it is gonna charge wirelessly....
That's all I know....

Well idk how the wireless charging works, I thought maybe it had something to do with a magnetic field. What does the magnetic sensor do?

It's probably an NFC capable card. Your phone is trying to read it. It's happened to me before with a CAC...

Now that makes sense I was trying to figure out why something with such a small magnetic field would get a reaction from the device where the magnets from my name tag doesn't when my phones in my shirt pocket....

Had the same problem. Used to fold the front of my case behind the tablet to use Kindle app for example then realised the magnets were causing the screen to lock. Was driving me nuts for a while and I was all ready to return the tablet to the store. All's well now though :good:

The holes

Does anyone know what the holes on top of the phone are for & would you recommend removing the tape?

Largest is headphone jack, medium sized one is IR, small tiny one is a sound cancellation mic that works in conjunction with the one on the bottom.
What is the IR hole?

The S4 has an IR blaster so you can use it like a universal remote for your TV. Open the WatchOn app and you can use the universal remote from there. Haven't tried it on 3rd party apps yet.
Oh, that's right. I already used it

I just peeled the stickers off removed the coil and flipped it all I then just positioned it on battery door. Works like a charm just need to know if the voltage is ok I'm assuming it is as USB 3.0 just slightly higher

Ah ok, I thought you altered something and you get more than 640ma when charging

why did it work before?
Maybe you need a specific kind? I tried one from a palm before...didn't work.
Tho I see no point in it. Ha...a pun! LOL. But really....I'd prefer my fingers any day.
Just my preference.

Needs to be a capacitive stylus. Not all are - Samsung Note styli are not capacitive for example

I use a capacitive stylus from MoKo and it works very well on my N7.

This *just* happened to me too. The device didn't fall, take a hit, or anything like that —*the navigation keys just stopped workning out of the blue. Everything else works perfectly, except the region over the soft keys. Is this really a hardware problem?
If even reinstall dont work.then call LG or rma from google
