I love 99% of this phone but it is horrible with low light photos compared to my Note 2. I wish Samsung would've included the "night shot" option with the Note 3 as it did with the Note 2. Seems like it allowed for better night time shots.

Most of them look really blurry and smeared. I was standing completely still on all of them. I know other moving objects will blur but I don't recall them being that bad with the Note 2. Then again mine might not be as bad compared to others.

No complaints about any other aspect of the camera though. Daytime photos look great.

night shot is part of the stabilization software, im not sure why they buried it there, and or made minimal mention of it
compared the the g2 though its a crappy crappy camera
Oh yeah, I forgot to elaborate... The photos in the first post were taken with "smart stabilization" turned on.

its the same.
No difference in the aperture. The difference is just in the blank black area. If you look, your first device has a blank area that isn't even even. I wouldn't worry about it.
Interesting. Does this improve photo quality?

if you dont mind can you take one more picture but not from same area. Also try cleaning the lens.
I tried cleaning lense...
Here are 2 photos :
On first one, you can see my best friend (with retarded face expression) amd you can see stain again.
On second you can see my gfs dog, and there is no stain..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Why many won't believe it, this is a form of lens flare... caused by a relatively strong light source positioned to the side of the lens.
But i can see the stain even when i look trough camera (before taking photo). That bothers me... When i direct my camera into white or bright colored objects, i can see stain... When i direct phone to landscape, for example, i cant see stain....

Try taking the phone apart and take a look at the camera. It's fairly easy to do but if you need a nice simple guide in tearing down the phone download the Ifixit app from the Play Storr. Perfect source.

I wouldn't recommend opening it right away. Take it to a phone repair shop to see what they think causing this issue. If it is the lens dirty from inside then yeah go ahead and open it.

Dust bunny.
So I know this screen is full HD and all but for some reason just like my nexus 7 which is 1080, pictures on Facebook and instagram seem blotchy, grainy and not in high quality, and videos on YouTube even on HD don't seem truly clear like HD but when I had my HTC one I never had this problem. This isn't a defect my phone is fine, I've just seen this on a few high end phones/tablets but not on most.

Absolutely awesome screen on my phone. Never noticed any defects in visuals on Youtube.
FB and Instagram are not my idea of fun so I don't have accounts for them. I suggest you take a picture side-by-side with a phone that doesn't have the problem and post them up here. Someone could then perhaps load up the same page as you and compare.
Can you link a Youtube vid you've been seeing this problem with?
Go in where you got the phone and show them the problem and see if they can duplicate it on their G2.
Good luck
