Hi all,
I have Co-Pilot on my X10 and was wondering if there is a way to stop incoming texts and calls displaying whilst navigating? I assume putting the phone in flight mode will stop the GPS receiver?

Yes you can. Install Switch Pro Widgets from the market (or free from the apktor) and there is an option in Airplane mode that only tuns off signal only, and you can keep your wifi or your gps on.
Hope it helps.
Regards
Legendary effort. That worked. Just a shame I have to have 4x1 widget but it will def do the trick so thanks very much

Why using a 4x1 widget when you can press the power button for a few seconds and select Airplane mode from there?

If you select airport mode from the phone settings it will be disable all wireless connections, from switchpro widgets you can select only "turn off signal only"
Cybrid, if you update your Swtchpro widgets to 1.8.3 (from apktor) iyou can select widgets 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4. So select 1x1 and it is done!
managed to get 1.8.3 and now one button. Thanks so much
Hi guys,
Is there any mod that can allow me to set specific volume on notifications, calls and other sounds>
Cause blocking mode just block them.
I want just to lower them.

You probably want some form of sound profiles. For that goal (and more) I am using a program called LLAMA - you can define some profiles (which are just sound levels) and then you can define events/rules that activate those profiles; in those events you can also add other actions (like brightness or wifi or hands-free mode) and then you can trigger those events either manually (with a shortcut) or automatically based on rules.
Other people might use Tasker for a similar goal.
You can do that via tasker.

Hi there,
I am looking for a way to create a button that enables power saving mode: turning off wifi, nfc, 3g, sync, set lowest brightness… And with same button I can set the normal mode again. I would like it to be in the quick settings but if it is not possible it is okay.
Any suggestion?
I am running rooted stock.

Hi Alturigo,
There are apps in the store who can save battery by turning off wifi, 3g etc. with widgets. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijinshan.kbatterydoctor_en&hl=nl
You can use airplane mode too but it disable phone calls.
Going one by one I can already do it (quick settings, widgets), but I want a single button that will switch off everything I want with one click.
I expected to find this in GravityBox (it has everything!) but if there is an option I don't see it.
Any easy way or I need something like Tasker?
i will tell you about my set up. i have automatic brightness, that works for me
i have gravity box for toggle 3g/2g on data on/off
i have auto sync free to enable all sync when wifi is on.
everything else can be toggle on off by gravity box toggle on notification area (i have the option to open setting on drop down menu if there are on notifications). you can also find some toggle programs on the play store
Dear XDA Community,
As you know thanks to touchwiz it is still possible to turn on silent mode on Android 6.0.
I have been searching the web for hours but could not find "a simple app that when launched turns on silent mode without the need to tap anything (like a widget)".
Can you tell me where to find such an app ? or create it for me ?
I would really appreciate it and I think it help other people facing the same issue.
You must be thinking why isn't he using a widget or an app with a button to tap or something like tasker for silent mode. Well that's because I don't like Tasker and use "Smart connect" instead but Smart connect has limited sound options (ring/vibrate/Do not disturb). However Smart connect allows you to launch an app automatically, so a workaround could be to launch this simple app automatically.
Why the following solutions won't work for me :
- Do not disturb mode
On samsung phones correct me if I'm but you can't set up more that one DND profile. The problem is I need silent mode when I'm at work where I can't accept any sound. On the other hand I use DND at night where I only allow calls (in case of emergency).
- Sound mode toggle widget
I want silent mode to turn on in a certain time period on weekdays. I don't want to have to press a widget every time. I don't even need a widget for that because I could tap on the quick setting in the notification menu.
- A tasker like app for sound modes
Would work but I don't like the idea to have several tasker like apps on my phone. I believe having multiple tasker-like apps triggers wakelock that would impact battery life and/or create wakelocks.
What does everybody use?
This is the only one I've set up
When connecting to my car kit a routine will turn of WiFi, enable data, GPS, start flitsmeister and navigation apps. Also it will set the fontsize to large and zoom in.
Or when connecting to WiFi at home data and GPS will be turned off
Home (GPS location)
-Wifi: On
-Sound mode: Sound
-Dolby Atmos: On
-Media volume: 60%
Not charging
-Always on display: On, portrait mode
Charging
-Always on display: On, landscape mode
Work (GPS location)
-Sound mode: Vibration
-Wifi: Off
-Media volume: 50%
Driving (connected to Bluetooth stereo)
-Dolby Atmos: On
-Media volume: 100%
-Play music: Google play music
Start button trigger "A"- Bluetooth on (redundant, but saves me from pulling down the panel and tapping bluetooth)
Auto run
If Bluetooth connected to headphones
Open music app
Plays local files
Auto run
If Bluetooth connects to my car
On location
Open navigation app
Sets route back home
To close all these and reset the settings to my original profile, tap "A" again

What do you mean by start button A? Are you referring to the bixby button?

you can set a condition to run a routine manually.
doing so, you will get a icon that you can place on the home page.
Does anyone knows if it is possible to put a manual routine to an edge panel?
I don't like having a manual routine as a widget on my minimal homescreen.
This is possible with the tasks edge. But if you delete the shortcut on the homescreen, you will also lose it on the task edge.

other question: is there a way to use sygic instead of google maps through Bixby routines? Bixby opens sygic, but when it comes to navigation, it changes to google maps.

Strange, I don't see the created shortcut in tasks edge...
My routines are switch AOD on when charging and set screen orientation to auto-rotate when Twitch is opened because for some reason, they disabled auto-rotate when in landscape mode a few updates ago

It only works with Samsung launcher. So if you use an alternative one as Nova launcher, set One UI als standard launcher, create shortcut and add it to the edge panel. Then you can switch back to e.g. nova. Only thing, to make it work, the shortcut has to be created both on One UI and Nova.
So the steps I did:
- create shortcut on Nova
- switch to One UI
- create short cut again
- ad shortcut to tasks edge
- switch back to Nova
Didn´t find out another workaround. Hope I could help.

Sorry, I've messed up the routines with the fast commands. For the routines, I have not found a solution.
Otherwise, I think the Bixby routines really great. I realize now what is all possible. As simple tasks as gps automatically turns on when starting eg Sygic as well as then gps automatically turns off when the app is closed. As well as everything can be configured when I am connected to my wifi at home. What I still miss is the possibility to carry out a routine if the battery level is not below a specific value but above, for example.
Definitely a great thing, even to save battery under certain conditions. Not that bad

I just tried with a routine for 1min Airplane mode and can not reproduce that. Surely you have indicated the right tasks?

I know the reason which causes the bug. If you set place in the condition, The airplane mode can not be turned on because need signal to identify the location :crying::crying:
Real shame Bixby routines can't integrate with Google Home , Phillips Hue or Nest directly , then a Home routine really would be great
You can use Bixby to turn lights on verbally bit as you walk in the door you can use Amazon or Google home to do that
Shame there isn't a way with a routine to bring it all into one place

Isn't it possible to use IFTTT in combination with Bixby? Like bixby triggering a command on IFTTT that sends a command to Google Home?
