I would like to edit things on the wiki since there are some big mistakes there:
"microSD, up to 32 GB, or 64 GB with FAT32" not 100% true or "Front-facing camera (VGA, 720p)" what does it mean? VGA is not same as 720p. VGA is 640x480 and and analogue for 720p is HD (1280x720). I would like to clear such... bugs.
I could also create the variants c5302/3/6 section.
I have one confusion. On every website it says that Xperia SP has Snapdragon MSM8960T processor, while on Xperia SP white paper from Sony it is MSM8960Pro.
Wikipedia says the two are different processor, MSM8960T is composed of dual Krait 200, while MSM8960Pro has dual Krait 300. So which one is right ?
CPU-Z only says MSM8960.

I guess white paper is much more trustworthy. Then it should be MSM8960Pro.
Or wikipedia might have been wrong, both are the same processor ????

The white paper says MSM8960 Pro dualcore and GSMArena and the wikipedia page you gave say MSM8960T.
I think Sony made a type. According to the wikipedia you gave there is no MSM8960 pro. Only a T variant.. So i think it is the MSM8960T Krait 200 and Adreno 320.

Quite strangely, Qualcomm UK site shows Xperia SP featuring Snapdragon 600.
The worst thing is Qualcomm doesn't give us any thorough information on their processor variants.
What I understand is Xperia SP has Qualcomm S4 Pro dual core version, so it must be krait 300 just like the one on Xperia Z.
Sometimes we can't trust Wikipedia as anyone can edit the entry there.

I guess they are two different phones, often confused as being each other. If you look at the 'Nozomi' It has that kind of ring-like buttons at the base but the Xperia Arc HD this is not present on the back cover photo-shot.
I had my suspicions but all will be revealed at CES 2012
Anyone looking forward to them.
Features Known: Dual core processors, 12 megapixel camera........list goes on etc.
Do we seriously need 12 megapixel cameras or is that just to make the product stand out in the market?
Can Sony make a comeback against the dominating HTC, Samsung etc. smartphones?
Nozomi and arc HD are the same phone.
Nyphon and xperia DUO are other rummored phones..
Nozomi (arc HD) will have
1.5 SINGLE core CPU
1GB ram
16/32 GB internal memory
NO MICRO SD slot
MICROSim only
12mpx (or 13)
and 720p display (720*1024)
The single core CPU sucks imo, even if it's enough ^^
When all other brands use dualcore they should/have to do it, too.
Won't buy that phone, outdated on release...

If these are the specs most arc users will either stay with arc go for different phones. The only Thing that will make me get this phone is if it's build quality is half as good as iPhone4.

That is a good news.
And for people who think Arc cannot run ICS because of less RAM including Sony, please have a look at HTC one V.
People were arguing that as nexus s runs on stock ASOP ICS, it is not laggy.
But see, HTC one V despite of 1Ghz single core processor and 512mb ram is capable of running ICS smooth with HTC SENSE 4.0 (ram eater)
Sony please no excuse now. And please update kernal.

perhaps depends on country/region ? Anyway hopefully we can get it before those forecasted dates on Wotan.
An antuntu benchmark for the S4 has leaked it's specs.
Network: GSM/WCDMA/LTE
CPU: Exynos 5410 1.8Ghz
CPU Cores: 4 + 4!!
GPU Model: PowerVR SGX 544 MP
System: OS 4.2
Display:
Screen size: 4.99
Resolution: 1920X1080
Camera:
Front cam: 2.1 mp
Rear: 13 mp
RAM: 2 gb.
Antutu populates that information by hand for the major devices, it cannot be retrieved from the system information.
Without confirmation it means nothing.
Speculation, in the case of them manually putting it on their servers, if it's automatic it's a fake benchmark.

Some people also don't seem to really grasp that it's possible, with a few smaller edits, to make a device display as another device. Is it really that hard to just wait until the darn presentation of the device (March 14th, I think it was) before getting hyped about possibly faked specifications?

This was speculation by a major analyst. It isn't fact, it's just an educated guess at this point.
It could be official.
AFAIK, I don't believe benchmark scores in antuntu.
If you put trust into those scores, you could say that dancing around in your garden naked for 5 minutes increases your device's performance.
Well but the specs do look somewhat similiar to what we heard.
Wasn't the rumour of 13 mp, 2gb ram and 8 cores going around?
And here's proof:
I saw an article up on DroidViews as well about this. He was decent enough to upload a photo.
Whats this obsession with posting S4 things in a s3 forum?

We can definitely take apps from this phone if they don't have XHDPI and XXHDPI drawables in them. The XZ apps are so big because of the bigger resolution images. Hopefully Sony won't also tone down the UI to make it like a low-end phone.

Looks nice, although an aluminium frame sounds like a really bad idea...
If the camera spec is real then I'd think: Why would they go back to an older sensor?? Unless the 13.1mpx sensor that's in our XZ isn't good enough...

If it's using an Exmor RS sensor, then that's not old at all but the absolute latest and greatest from Sony. It's just that it'll use an 8MP version vs. the 13MP version on the Z and ZL.

Nice budget model.
Sent from my gorgeous White Xperia Z
I already have a Z, so this seems to be a step down in everything but the SOC. Besides I love the 5" screen size it is perfect for reading while it still fits in my pocked.

this device will have better specs than all the devices released last year!
and still its a "mid-range"/"budget" phone

Maybe among the phones released last year only: Nexus 4, LG Optimus G and HTC Butterfly (and their variants) have better specs (SoC) than Xperia SP.
BTW, according to the white paper, SP uses Corning Gorilla glass without a shater-proof sheet..
And Xperia L seems to use glass made by SCHOTT, again no mention of a shatter-proof sheet.
Does this mean no more pre-installed shatter-proof sheets by Sony Mobile?

Actually SP uses Shatter proof sheet on Corning Gorilla glass. As mentioned in the link below

Great mid-range phone.
Seems like a great mid-range phone to me. Of course everything seem better in their adds but I was honestly positively surprised when I saw it.
Having doubts though about the functionality an smoothness of the phone. I've been using Sony XPERIA S and with a 1.5 GHZ Dual-Core processor and 1 GB of RAM it was quite laggy even when using their built-in APPS like Walkman. At times it would stutter and force close even when other APPS were closed. Since Sony got rid of Ericsson I've become a huge Sony fan especially with their latest release the XPERIA Z. Their designs are formidable in my opinion and I guess many people will agree with me. The translucent bar in the S and the SP is something notable, probably a battery drainer but non the less a nice add to create something different, elegant and "sexy".
I'm very pleased to see another, newer device of Sony with this translucent bar. It'd be a nice second phone to keep with me just in case something happens with my future XPERIA Z or HTC ONE!
YES, definitely not going to buy the S4, design disappoints me and am genuinely sick of Samsung using cheap materials. Specs? Thumbs up Samsung!
