Does anyone know how to remove the screen chooser widget that sits above the bottom locked icons, it's utterly useless and takes up space.
I know I can use a different launcher but I'd rather stick with TW for now.
Guess it can't be removed then

Does anyone know how to put the Bottom drawer to the side on the home screen? Some guysays he "hacked" it but usually when people use the works hack they usually are some loser with a dowloaded app. Or something. I've looked around to find some source code in the firmware that dictates where the drawer is to be but I can't find it (that's where it was on my iphone).. so if anyone has done this or knows how to do this could you let me know?
i've glitched it to the side a few times and it's kinda ugly over there. the whole setup of the homescreen rely's on the app drawer being at the bottom. to move it you would have to change how the icons appear on the screen and you would lose some space
no biggie

Click to collapse
I don't really mind having less space for apps on the home screen bc I only keep 2 folders with all the apps I want (I categorize my home screens) id love to know how to do it tho.id really aappreciate it you can email me [email protected] or just reply. Thanks
Hi,
As this is my first smart phone, I don't know whether this is an Android thing, a Motorola thing or a Flipout thing. But is there any way of getting rid of the 3 buttons/icons (Contacts, Home and Dialler) down the right hand side of the screen? The middle one appears to be a duplication of the home button, and the other 2 aren't that useful.
Thanks
Replace the launcher, ADW Launcher, GO Launcher EX, LauncherPro.
They take a bit to get set up how you want. So keep a dock if you want with things you actually use, or get rid and have more space
Hi,
Thanks for that. I've had a play with a couple of those launchers, and they do allow me to get rid of those icons down the right hand side. But the space where they were still seems to be 'reserved' somehow, as I can put widgets/icons there. Is there anyway I can just get rid of the dock altogether so I can use the whole desktop for whatever I want?
Thanks
Ok my favorite launcher is go launcher just because of how customizable it is! I find myself using the regular launcher and Zeam alot because they are quick, they would be perfect if you could hide apps in the app drawer. As far as just having something minimal.
I like Go Launcher becuase it has alot of free themes and you can mix and match all there icons and what not. What annoys me is on the Homescreen when you flip the phone the icons wont show back up half the time until you tap the screen. I mean ive tried every video tweak compiled optimized kernels and the only thing that has fixed this problem is the ICS flip animation in bobzhome's new rom. Im thinking becuase the animation refreshes the screen after the flip, but as soon as i turn animations off in display the icons disapear as soon as i flip the screen. I mean im running at 840mhz with 350mb ram free and this happens!!! Does anyone else have this problem or know a fix?
Edit: nvm
Hey All,
I have Nova Launcher installed on my Nexus 10 (4.2.2) and I've just got my home screen looking the way I want it with a few widgets, I like informational widgets on my center screen (weather, clock, email etc) social stuff (facebook etc) on my left screen and my apps on the right screens. However when I install an app it always ends up on the center screen, and I have to move it every time. Does anybody know how I can make app shortcuts appear on the screen to the right?
I know it's a small annoyance, but it does drive my crazy
I also use Nova Launcher and the same thing happens. I suspect that this is more of a "feature" than a bug as you always know where a newly installed app icon will be (centre screen). I have a few screens where I could easily loose a new app behind a widget that covers a large part of the screen such as a weather widget.
I want to replace the stock weather widget with another of my choice or even add a widget, is that possible
Not with the stock lock screen. You could get a 3rd party one that allows this though.
