[Q] Note 3 fonts? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else here had trouble with any custom font for the Note 3?
I'm on the N9005 here, rooted, but none of the previous fonts working great with the Note 2 and S4 will work on the Note 3... error message attached.
Anyone else tried any custom fonts with this phone yet?

Same here. I got a jet black AT&T version. Otherwise very happy with the device.

The same for me : some free flipfonts available on Google Play are unusable ...
Point is : is a compatibility problem with these flipfonts or is a GN3 software issue ... ?

was having the same issue, got around it by installing ifont from the play store(i think root is required) and using it to install the fonts, hope that helps.

ifont can change the font of Note 3 without root :good:

[Q] Galaxy Note N7000

I used ROM Toolbox lite after I rooted my phone. All worked fine untill I changed the theme on my phone. Now my status bar will crash and when I try to run ROM toolbox, It also crashed. I've rest my phone and still have the problem. Is thier a way I can eather unroot or reroot my my to fix the problem? Right now "process com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox" i have to force to close and "android.systemui.statusbar.NotificationData" comes up and need to force to close. Im runing gingerbred.ubkk2 android ver 2.6.35.
If you wish to unroot, use odin to flash any stock rom. This will unroor and delete cwm as well

Many themes cause the SystemUI to force close. If you made a backup, revert to it. Otherwise you're going to have to flash another rom over it to get it working properly.

[Q] Kingo Root Not Working

I have a Verizon Note 3 running 4.4.2 and I'm trying to root with Kingo. I get through the process up until it checks my root status. It gets past that to 'Downloading requesite dependency files' and it instantly fails and just says Not Support. Any help?
I thought towel root was the only root method working for 4.4.2. Maybe that is why you are having issues

Thank you so much. I was able to root my phone. Lastly, one thing I've always wanted was to remove the Touchwiz and get stock Android. I am currently on 4.4.2 on my Note 3. How do I go about getting a clean version of either 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 Android? Thanks again

I'm new to the community. I don't exactly know what that is but if it is how you get Google Play Edition firmwares on your phone, than yes.
easier to do this :

you want a stock firmware file?
here you go ! http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29319
you will have to register for firmwares,,,
unfortunately, touchwiz is the stock app for verizon stock roms... the new launchers for the S5 work on the note.. check that link in the other post
i think what you may be looking for with a rooted note 3 is a deodexed rom.. you can delete system files easily... just use "titanium Backup" its in this rom for the 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 and its easy to do if you follow this method here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2787627
or use clockwork mods equivalent, "trebuchet"
check files , and heres CM link : https://www.clockworkmod.com/

Sorry but I have no clue what you or any one in that thread is talking about. I just want to turn my Note 3 into a Google Play Edition

You can't do that. We have a locked bootloader that restricts you to touchwiz roms running on the stock kernel.

Oh well. Anything else I can do on my rooted phone other than titanium backup and adblocker?
you can safestrap and install custom roms - they just have to be touchwiz-based.

in the pic here, all that gobbledeegook speek where your normal "?about phone" should be , tells you this is a vzw note 3, Nc4 stock rooted, ported to T-Mobile Lte , "G" edition (S5 ported) on non-user-ship (non-stock) kernel.
or basically,
using a verizon note 3 as a T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S5, with all of its features, save the one~~ it's not waterproof. , which of course , is in that thread i linked
so there's a;lot you can do with your phone, as it may seem too complicated now, you may want to stick to simpler mods that you can download from google play store, like a different boot animation, meaning to say that instead of the huge red logo you see when you initially turn on yo0ur phone, you can change it to supermario running accross the screen, or that green matrix i/o screen. they may have added more by now, its up to you if that is something you may ne interested int there, or at least its a place to start.as you can see, perhaps a more correct assumption would be to say you cant run touchwiz and another launcher, say Google NOW...... at the same time.
Well, this was originally longer but the forum decided to post limit me because I am new. If you want a Google type experience, you might want to try the Google Experience Launcher (can be side loaded, but won't install from play store). I use this with Xgels and am very happy with the results.

[Q] Barclays Mobile App - Rooted S5

Hi,
Recently upgraded from the Note 3 to the S5 and have rooted.
I know their are loads of threads as to how to "fix" and run the Barclays App, i have tried and not suceeded.
Most recently i have tried the RootCloak which failed, and the nearest i have gotten to this was to uninstall the Barclays app and re-run. This was the steps given by Faz1980 on the HOW TO guide but for the s3.
Just thought their has to be someone out their that has the knowledge of root and to get a way around this?
Big high five if i can get this working as im sick and tired of logging in via a browser.
Cheers
If it helps;

[Q] How to run an app designed for tablet on note3?

Hi
Can anyone help me to run this app on my note3?
the app name is EF Efekta Corporate, available on tablet play store only.
I downloaded the extracted apk from the internet and install it to my note3 and of course didn't work.
the message i got is : unsupported device, need to have 7 inch or larger display.
I have rooted note 3
stock rom 4.4.2
Help me if there is any solution? xposed, custom rom?
Thank you in advance.
-------------------------------------
UPDATE:
I have tried one xposed module called TabletMetrics!
on this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/27-tabletmetrics-report-screen-7-v2-2-t2596603
but no success after install it! i got same message!
That's odd, I've never had a tablet app tell me it's incompatible when I use the .apk...
It's likely the app itself has a specifications check that does this. If so, there is nothing to be done about it to my knowledge.

Rooting straight talk sm-s820l
Hey guys, I'm new to thread posting but I have some info that might be of some use to this thread. I own a straight talk sm- s820l galaxy core prime, and I've seen a LOT of ppl post that in order to root this phone kingroot is needed. I've personally tried about six different rooting apps and ALL failed. Found a better way and very easy way to root the straight talk galaxy core prime sm-s820l.

There are some bugs in the twrp recovery that really needs fixed. Like 1) cannot If i a partition for mounting partitions. 2) the keyboard is off location. Meaning the top row is fine, the second row, the letters are misplaced by one letter or more. I.E., a is located between a and s, s between s and d, etc. The third row (z-m) is off by two letters. Z is on c and so on. Space bar is the go, or enter button and cannot select go. So cannot change file names and all that. Btw, If there is a better thread for the twrp stuff, let me know and I'll do what is ended to be done. Hope this helps more ppl out! And really hope someone will correct the twrp bugs Cause I do not know how but am leaning and will, eventually, correct the problem myself. For I have no plans of getting a newer phone anytime soon. I do not have the ability to purchase newer more expensive phones so gotta deal with this one. Love it though!
