[Q] cLock apk request - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys!
I've been searching for the so called cLock app (the one which has got a great stock like widget with weather and calendar notif), which is included in some custom roms. I also would like to know, wether it's compatible with stock 4.3 on nexus 4.
I have googled for it, but unfortunately google doesn't make difference between small L in clock, so I couldn't search for cLock.
Thanks

Exactly. The market one also has banding in the background, not very high quality looking. I was talking about the original stock phase beam.

i noticed that it wasn't in the stock LWP, possible that that LWP was only formatted for the galaxy nexus and because of that asus didn't include it in their release.
very disappointing because i was looking forward to having that LWP run on both my phone and tablet.

If your live wallpaper lags, try ADW launcher Ex.
Funny how a launcher app is able to solve the lag problem that still isn't fixed from HC to ICS.

I know the lwp is in cm9 for the touchpad and it looks real good on it, so I don't know why asus couldn't include it

No luck here either.
Really want this looked in to.
I'm not much of a dev myself, or else I'd do it myself, but I also wanted phasebeam on both my gnex and my tab. The ics market version is crap. Can someone update whether or not this is fixed or being worked on? My buddy's touchpad runs it perfectly fine but it just doesn't work on any 10.1 android tablets.

Google needs to put it in aosp as soon as possible. I wish they didn't kill off cornerstone as that was originally going to be part of cm but google told them to cease and desist.
Google would have to develop that from scratch, because that's Samsung-proprietary code.
Also, I hope that Google does NOT clutter up Android with stuff like this, for this we have ROMs like PA (which is already stuffed full of features that it barely works as a daily driver).

Paranoid android was great when it was based on cm. Its in 4.2 when they tried to go aosp and make their own tweaks that it became a mess. They need to go back to cm or switch to AOKP(uses CMs main code).
It wouldn't be that difficult to implement multi window. The cornerstone code would be a good starting point and android apps already scale to different resolutions without an issue.

Alright so obviously I have the nexus 4. This really isnt a big problem for you guys I just need quick help.
You see I'm getting really bored. Maybe because its a developer phone and I'm obviously not a developer. I keep trying to sell it and since my birthday was today I almost got the galaxy s4.
I just keep thinking if there was something I could. do to this phone to make it as cool as the galaxy s4 I'm just not impressed.
I have rooted
I have over clocked.
Installed custom ROM
I just need Idk features that make the phone cool. Or something that'll keep me busy so I'm not bored.
Thanks

rasbean jelly rom with the trinity kernel. but thats what i enjoy
Its basic human nature that they get bored after using the same thing again & again for many days. After a month of usage, I was bored with my S2, then I started trying out new ROMs, I used to change ROMs once every 2 weeks.
I got my Nexus 4, 3days ago.........
Try out different ROMs, try different software tweaks, or different apps from Play Store atleast. Otherwise just find something/someone other than your Nexus 4/10 to remove your boredom......

okay see because I over clocked and rooted my Nexus 4 and 10. Running pa with stock kernel. I literally took of Faux kernel does now because it was overheating my phone. I still have my Nexus 10 overclock and rooted. With same kernel. I just need something else to do with my phone. What you need is tasker!
That should be a really interesting project for you
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsIm5ldC5kaW5nbGlzY2guYW5kcm9pZC50YXNrZXJtIl0.
You can do anything with this app
What you need is to change the way you interact with your device. Remove the nav bar and use pie (learn to use gestures) , nova launcher (and many roms out there) have the option to remove the notificatiom bar. Use dashclock with the extentions as a homescreen widget. Use halo for notifications. Use icon packs to change the way your UI feels, change the wallpaper more often. If you're on google+ take a look at the communities, people are doing some crazy stuff customizations, try to replicate those themes.
Buying the s4 won't solve your problems.

Yeah the only thing Im not doing from what you said is using halo and pie. I did that with my nexus 10. The reason why I didn't on my nexus 4 is because I put tablet ui and made it transparent and made the app drawer transparent too

Full 4.4 KitKat experience

Hi there,
I recently purchased my nexus 7. I used to have an XDA account from years ago.
Basically, tonight I installed the AOSP ROM released for the nexus 7 on rootzwiki forums and I found that it had the normal launcher so it seemed like a jelly bean ROM with a white theme to it. Since then I discovered I was able to download and install Google Home and that enabled me to use the new UI with the transparent status bar and nav bar. So far I like it a lot. Its quite stable with a few bugs and it will get better.
And a video on YouTube of the ROM

Partially working Gapps http://d-h.st/EIM
I would add screenshots but the xda app doesn't let me

I believe it's the launcher. As you can see, the Search Bar is out of place too, I have the Google Experience launcher on my n4, and it doesn't look like that. I believe this launcher wasn't N7.2 ready.

But most of devices including our nexus 5 says incompatible if any one able to get it working please comment thanks

These applications will give update to HTC devices when ever HTC updates one of these application.
How about the HTC Sense Camera App on N5?
According to below link, they have managed to get previous version to work on Google Edition ROMS.

That's because Google Edition ROMS still have the original framework I believe. As in the GE HTC One still has the Sense framework so Sense specific apps will work on GE. Not sure about the s4 version, but it is probably similar. That being said it is probably next to impossible to get the camera to work with a Nexus 5.
Should be able to at least get the gallery working right

Gallery and Camera are a linked application so no camera = no gallery. I had the HTC One prior to this phone. I've been around the mill on the Sense apps.
The framework is now also included in the play store. Most of these apps are compatible with HTC One M8 GPE Edition also.

Similar issues with GS4 GPE. It was "aosp" with touchwiz and google frameworks... hardly aosp... in fact... the aosp roms were more different than our aosp vs stock options.

I was able to install it while in Dalvik mode (doesn't install on ART), but when setting as home launcher it gives an error "Device not authorized/not compatible error". I was amazed I was able to get it to install at all (as well as the resource apk under the framework folder in the provided zip).
