After installing the OTA 4 of the jellyblast custom rom the calculater app has disappeared and i can't even install google play services which i need for certain apps...

pen jellyblasy v3 zip
open system
then app
there search for the calculator
and install It
YOU can try flashing,
google apps .

the problem with installing Google play services is that when the download is done it starts installing but later is says can't install as tow apps have same name some thing like that.....

Did you install ota 1 2 & 3 first if not follow these steps
Wipe data
Mount system
Install jb v3
Mount system
Install ota 1 2 3 & 4 in number order (mount system between flashes)
Opional
Install hells fusion #63 for best results
if you want playstore back, get an apk of playstore, put it in system/app (using Root Explorer), set permissions to r-w-r. done.:beer:

or u can just install via system app replacer which comes preinstalled with ota2
or just install ota 2.3,4
1 is not needed
g-play and calci should get installed automatically
how to install jellyblastv3 on galaxy y?
i have samsung galaxy y,it has gingerbed 2.3.6 on it..but i came to know about jellyblastv3 in xda and got interested on getting it to my phone..i seen the procedure but i have a doubt that what is the precautions i should take before going to do what is in procedure so that i can get my gingerbed back if i mess up in middle of installion or if i dislike it after installing it..please give me the complete information like odds that i may face during installing how to overcome etc..since i am a beginner and never tried it before i am asking this all..hope you guys help me to learn..thanks in advance:fingers-crossed:

You cannot install google play services with jb v3 ota 4
You need to install jb v3 with no ota installed then install otas & it may install
You do not need Google play services for YouTube
For latest YouTube just push back button when it asks you to install
If you require sign into YouTube uninstall YouTube & install an old version
So you mean I shall install the rom again with no otas installed right....
But would it work after installing otas...

Try it only one way to find out
Do a back up first so if it it still doesn't install with no ota just flash backup & you're back to where you were

The play service app required for youtube i think is impossible to install on galaxy y i have tried to install it on may roms but it showed the same problems as yours,
I downloaded it apk and tried to install then it showed up app not installed
I also have tried to push the app to system folder by root explorer but that methods
Also didn't work and the last mtehod i tried was to make a flashable zip of that app but that also failed to install it on our device
I think google has made the app avalibale on to ics devices

. when i tried to install google play services from the builtin apk installer ... cant installed .. but when i tried installed using system app installer i.e from the OTAs this shows app installed correctly... but still quick office and other apps are asking to install google play services

This is a banned rom and the thread will be closed soon
all im going to say is you need to flash gapps

Hi guys, Well, I installed the WanamLite ROm V4.0 based on Android Kitkat for I9500 and I had some problems. I can't download files(tested: Firefox, Chrome and Default Browser) and I can't fix it. I tried to search a fix for this but nothing is working. The Aptoide app does not work too. It doesn't download apps. Snapchat does not show videos and some pictures, well... the apps that need to download files does not work very well.

as of 17th of April, google released Google Camera on 4.4+ devices
I have the note 3 N9005 but I can't download the google camera as my device is not compatible with it
I'm on official samsung 4.4.2
so what could be the issue?
I live in Malaysia.

I can download and install it without a problem, tried clearing data of the google play app in settings/apps/all apps and rebooted? Or look on google play on the pc and check which devices are checked in settings.

I was using the web-based version, since the android version doesn't even show the google camera.

i also faced this..donno may b sum google restriction for non-google phones?...anyway downloaded the apk from a website...lense blur feature doesnt seems to work for me so well,,,,

Hello. I just got the China version of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N9100).
It doesn't come with a Google Play store. How do I go about installing the Google Play Store?
I downloaded the 5.0.32 version apk of Google Play store, and I installed it.
But when I run it, it closes or crashes. I found that apk by searching these forums.
So I was wondering if I needed to do something to make it work?
For HTC One I simply looked up Google gms in the HTC Marketplace and installed it, which ended up adding all of the Google stuff (including Google Play).
The Note 4 phone comes with a Galaxy Apps, but searching inside it does not have a Google Play installer (nor Google gms equivalent).
So my question is:
Do I need to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in order to get Google Play to run? It currently closes or crashes when I try to run it.
Did I install an incompatible apk for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Again I am referring to the China version of Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N9100 model)
Hi, I have the same problem also. SM-N9100 does not support google play store, youtube, etc. I guess all china andriod phones is banned from access these apps. The only way out is to install another rom. Please let me know if a suitable rom is available. Thanks.

In have the same issue. I rooted my N9100 and installed Google play services, google services framework onto the system / app folder. Changed the file permission to a system app but still wasn't able to get it running. There's an error that says the Google services framework can't be run. Maybe I install a wrong version ? Anyone can shed some light and point me to the right apk ?
There are two ways to do it
Method 1) Typical GMS pack includes a lot of junk/google bloatware:

You CANNOT uninstall google framework and other bloatware once gms is installed
If you live in China and don't have VPN, don't even bother with since its all blocked
No success with Method 2 on the Note 4 (9106w). It installed it but I kept getting a Google Frameworks Stopped working error. I was able to log into my Google Account and open the Play Store but could not get a network connection. In the end I disabled Google Frameworks.
Will try to flash TWRB with Odin tomorrow.

Hi, it's the same app.... my link is ver 1.5 whereas the link in message #4 is ver 1.3..... ver 1.5 works.....

I downloaded a 44+ mb file. After unzipping it on my phone I saw a folder with many files. Did you move all the files into similar folders on your phone? I installed the apk packages and regretted it. No success so I imagine I should be using adb to push them to the proper folders.
Any hints would be helpful.

Can I check with you which Samsung note 4 model do you have and worked ? I am using Samsung Note 4 model N9100 (rooted) and just tried the link you provided i.e. V1.5. I got the same problem. After rooting and install V1.5, I can install and open the google playstore. But there are nothing in the playstore..except retry icon.
I flashed banks core gapps and have no problem at all. Banks core gapps also help me save a bit of battery because it install non of bloats

Hi, I am using SM-N9100 (rooted). After installing and running the ver 1.5 app, I am able to goto google play store, use google maps and youtube.

Few questions about future software updates (Lollipop) since I've been away from Samsung for a while:
1. Rooting will trip Knox, right?
2. If yes, OTA updates won't work - would I still be able to flash via Odin or CWM?
Not sure if I will definitely root yet due to warranty issues so soon after buying.
As noted above, Google stuff here is a pain at times even with a VPN (location options don't work so Google Now is less useful).
Plus, I've become used to getting apps from the Samsung and Amazon stores instead.
